"144€ cancellation fee for 4 days because the place was impassable, mud without end - The worst and dirtiest campsite I've been to in recent years. The entire campsite was completely under water due to the persistent rain. It was impossible to drive on the pitch as you immediately get soaked. I can understand that nobody wants to go here anymore, only permanent guests on the campsite, many campers have left because they completely mess up their caravans and motorhomes because everything is just muddy. It was not possible for us to use the comfort pitch at all, so we now have to pay a €144 cancellation fee for 4 days on this filthy pitch. I can only recommend all campers to avoid this site. The prices are completely exorbitant, never book a pitch in advance. You don't have a direct view of the lake. Never again Camping Bostalsee. That is my personal opinion and experience. Campers, stay away from this campsite.

"All in all good - Nice place. Quiet location. The children can run through the bushes or kick a ball around on the football pitch or play on the playground. Everything in good condition. Very clean toilets/showers. However, they could be a little warmer. There are many possibilities around the lake. Whether hiking or cycling. Nice swimming pool at the Center Parc (5 min. by car) and an indoor playground within 10 min. walking distance.

"Generally ok / PermanentCampingSaddle pads - Positive: Friendly, competent check-in at the reception, location to the Bostalsee, landscaped grounds. As the pitches in front of the gate are too narrow for Womos (no space for chairs or even awnings), I opted for a basic pitch inside. The size of the pitch was ok, but the surrounding ruins with their permanent campers were very special. A little tip for the operator: have the ruined pitches removed or give notice, as other campsite operators in this price segment do. For me ... once and never again.

"Great for a community square - We stayed at the campsite for 4 weeks in October and have nothing to complain about. Only the opening hours of the reception are strange. The tree pruning should also be done on the paths (lighting of the road) and unlit boulders at the passage should be removed. We will definitely be back again.

"CP Bostalsee - The campsite is close to us, so we are often there on long weekends or at events. In the past with the tent, now with the camper van. Our daughter (8) loves the playgrounds. She makes friends straight away and the kids can run around. The sanitary facilities are modern and mostly clean. Poop bags for dogs are also available. Often noisy at night due to youth groups, but that didn't bother me too much. The lake is a 10-minute walk away. There is a lido, and the Centerpark is nearby, where you can visit the swimming pool even in bad weather.

Profil

The 5-star campsite by the lake "Bostalsee" is open all year round and has 445 spaces for caravans (à 100 m2), individual and group tent pitches, caravans for hire and numerous other tent pitches. You can choose from our basic …pitches or comfort pitches with water supply and waste water disposal facilities. All of the pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups. Thick and dense hedges created from bushes and trees around the individual inlets do not only provide shade, but also the necessary privacy for peace and relaxation. Our family tent pitches are parcelled out and can be reserved to meet your requirements. The tent pitches feature both electric hook-up points and a tap connection for fresh water, thereby providing the necessary convenience and comfort for our guests. However, it is not only the way in which the site has been successfully divided up that makes Bostalsee campsite an oasis for individualists and fresh air enthusiasts; in addition to a new building with sanitary facilities, there are also two refurbished toilet and shower blocks. Bostalsee with the nearby bathing beach (approx. 5 minutes’ walk from the campsite) offers everything the hearts of water sport enthusiasts could desire: swimming, sailing and surfing, diving, boating and much, much more.

Directii

Arriving by car: The lake Bostalsee can be directly accessed via the two motorways, the A1 and the A62. Coming from the A1 Saarbrücken-Trier from either direction the exit Primstal is recommended. From there onwards the route leads via Selbach …to the Bostalsee. From the A62 (motorway) interchange Nonnweiler Dreieck - direction Landstuhl-Pirmasens take the exit Nohfelden-Türkismühle. From there you reach the Bostalsee via Eckelhausen and Bosen. Coming from the direction of Mannheim/Ludwigshafen it is are recommended that you take the A6 (motorway) via Kaiserslautern, which from the interchange Kreuz Landstuhl continues on the A62 leading to the Bostalsee. Via the Bundesstraße B41 (an A-road) Saarbrücken-Idar-Oberstein you travel north until Nohfelden and from there on the Landstraße (a B-road) direction Türkismühle to the Bostalsee. Coming from the south from direction Saarbrücken you travel to St. Wendel and from there on via Bliesen, Gronig and Selbach to the Bostalsee. From the Bundesstraße B 269 Saarlouis-St.Wendel coming from either direction you take the exit Theley and via Selbach reach the Bostalsee. From the Bundesstraße B420 Ottweiler-Kusel from both directions coming you go via Werschweiler to St. Wendel and from there on via Bliesen, Gronig and Selbach to the Bostalsee.
