After checking in, we were met at the pitch and given instructions. That was a great help, because you don't know the wind direction. We had a great view of the sea. The pitch is on a cliff. You can get to the beach via a staircase. There are 2 wash houses, the smaller of... which is not heated. Everything is super clean and well maintained. Bread rolls can be purchased on the neighboring pitch,
less than a 5-minute walk away.
There is a restaurant on the site where the food tastes very good and the prices are reasonable. There is also a snack bar on the neighboring square where you can quickly get something to eat. You can get to Laboe on foot in 20 minutes and by bike in 5 minutes. There are great cycle paths towards Kiel and to Schöneberg beach right by the sea. We are thrilled.
It was very quiet on the pitch. Dogs are not allowed, which we found very good.

The campsite is on the steep coast. The toilet house would have to be modernized. The toilets, the washroom and the showers were in one room and that was not really nice. San building 2 no heating, toilet and shower are not separated, outrageous. Definitely not 4*, at best 2 *. The only good thing is the view. There are much better 4 * facilities. I can only recommend the pitch because of the good view in the front row, provided you get a large one, because even here there are differences to be expected. Shopping facilities are close and good.Markus and Walburga Mond from OchtrupWe spent our vacation from 06.07.1914 to 25.07.2014 on this super beautiful campsite. The sunrise and sunset are fantastic. We think it's good that dogs are not allowed here and the 2 budgies were not noticed negatively. Everything is clean and regularly checked. Only some campers think that leftover... food in the sink is decoration. We had a lot of fun, also with the nice permanent campers, e.g. Gabi, Achim, Ties, Peter etc. The restaurant "Neusteiner is to be recommended". Oliver A.August 2013The campsite has a perfect location on the Baltic Sea, you can sit on the cliffs all day and watch the ships. It's not bad for swimming either, with a shallow 100 m into the water. It's ideal for a short vacation because it's not far from Laboe, where you can quickly get to Kiel by boat. Otherwise, the... site is more popular with permanent campers. It's a good place to relax and get a breath of sea air. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This has its reason: Optimal panoramic location to the Baltic Sea, sufficient leisure activities in the immediate vicinity (Laboe/Schönberg/Kiel), well-kept facility and atmosphere due to new management. Excellent bathing facilities/restaurants/sanitary facilities. We permanent campers find this site to be the "most beautiful" in the area.Tradus automat.- Ingo S.June 2013Well-kept, quiet and beautifully situated campsite, which is characterized by permanent campers. The "free" pitches are flat grass areas, sufficiently large and not further separated from each other. The site is part of a row of 2 other campsites that merge into one another. The sanitary facilities are... clean and well maintained. There is a small scullery and a room with a washing machine and dryer. Bread rolls can be ordered in the morning. The site has a small restaurant (I can't comment on the quality). The location directly on the small cliff is the big plus of this campsite. The campsite has a large meadow right on the cliffs. You can sit there in peace and quiet and look out over the fjord. Really very nice. As is often the case with campsites for permanent campers, there are a lot of site rules, but not all of them are followed consistently. So that wasn't a problem for us. You can walk or cycle along the coast directly from the campsite. The section is obviously also very popular with kite surfers and offers good wind conditions. However, we didn't see any kiters on the site itself. I don't think they would really fit in with the older permanent campers. On the other hand, signs on the sanitary buildings indicate that kiters can clean their wetsuits etc. in the outdoor showers. So who knows, maybe there are some there from time to time after all? Laboe can be reached quickly on foot or by bike. From there you can easily take the bus or a steamer to Kiel. All in all, an ideal place to relax and do nothing on the Baltic Sea with a connection to Kiel.Tradus automat.
Bernd M.July 2012We were looking forward to the good view of the Kiel Fjord and were not disappointed.Swimming with children is ideal from the place although it is located on the cliffs.The beach can be reached via 2 stairs and is very shallow.The place made a well-kept impression.The owner and the staff were very friendly... and helpful.At the reception there is a newspaper and bread service.The pitches in the first 3 rows were a bit too small for some campers and the access a bit narrow.The upper wash house was always clean and well maintained.The lower wash house was not always ok, it is a bit outdated and a bit small.Showers, sinks and toilets are in one room and it is not always pleasant when showerers and toilet users meet.Positive is, however, that dogs are not allowed on the site.For excursions on foot or by bike, the area is ideal! - Marita A.June 2011We came across this beautifully situated campsite by chance and were thrilled! We actually only wanted to stay for a few days, but we kept extending our stay because we liked it so much. The location is unique - right on the Kiel Fjord. The view is bombastic! Just one step away from the beach! Excursions... in all directions, whether Laboe (just around the corner), Kiel, Eckernförde, Schleimündung, Fehmarn, etc. everything can be reached quickly and easily. The campsite is pleasantly designed, has a restaurant and a bread roll and newspaper service in the morning. You have to place your order at reception the day before. Excellent cleanliness! Where you find cobwebs or similar in the wash houses at other campsites - you certainly won't find that at this campsite! The lady in charge of cleanliness does an excellent job! Of course, as on every campsite, some campers are not the cleanest, but the lady in charge of cleaning gets everything under control again! The campsite manager is really very nice and friendly. Just like the men who look after the site with a lot of dedication and love! Oh yes, I would like to point out that since this year there has been a change of ownership on the site and word has probably not yet got around that a different, fresh and friendly wind is now blowing on this site! The campsite is also no longer called "Kliff Neustein", but: CAMPINGPLATZ NEUSTEIN Tel. 04343 - 8122 Fax 04343 - 4242671 E-Mail: info@camping-neustein.de Homepage: www.camping-neustein.de If you go to the homepage of Camping Info, the website of "Kliff Neustein ELLERBROOK" appears.
