- Stephan K.August 2022PlusuriThe restaurant is great. No wonder, it's not part of the campsiteMinusuriSanitary facilities outside the campsiteUnfriendly, cheeky operatorsWe can only issue a warning here. Extremely unfriendly, sometimes aggressive behavior. The opening hours on the operator's website are until 19:00, but the office closes at 18:00. When asked about this, you are thrown out of the office.Tradus automat.
- Mates V.August 2022PlusuriThe sunset was nice.MinusuriThere was nothing really nice about this campsite. The tent place was as far away from the restrooms and showers as possible (500m) and had two locked gates/doors that you needed a key for. Which means all the men watered the bushes near by which stank with all the heat. No water was available within 500m. The restaurant was closed and there wasn't any kind of store. There aren't any trees or shade in the entire campsite. Definitely won't be back and can't recommend it to anyone. Not to be recommended for anyoneThe camping place was one of the worst we have visited by far. The staff was quite unfriendly and the campsite itself has no real facilities. No trees, no water, no store, no restaurant on mondays. You had to exit the entire campsite to get to the sanitation building.Tradus automat.
- Dirk T.July 2022PlusuriGood locationMinusuriThe staff in particular, as he said himself he was probably the boss, were very unfriendly. We are not used to being nagged at, but my wife was approached from behind when she wanted to go back to her seat. A normal conversation was not possible. That's just not the way it should be. The pitches and the reception, unkempt, the sanitary facilities with broken windows and lots of cobwebs, really very unkempt. All pitches have no waste water and the site only has one sink for washing up for hundreds of campers. There are also only 3 showers at the men's pitches, which is unbelievable when you consider that the pitch costs €40 per night for 2 people, 2 small dogs and a caravan.Be fooled by the view of the RhineUnfortunately, we cannot recommend this place to anyone! As already described above, we are not used to not being addressed normally.Tradus automat.
- Hartmut S.June 2022PlusuriOnly the locationMinusuriManyNo day guests welcome!!!No day guests welcome!!! Never again! Nothing like this has ever happened to us in 50 years of camping.
First of all, what strikes us: If a negative review is given, it is followed by a hail of positive reviews for the campsite.
Unfortunately, I can only confirm what MF and AE have experienced. They... are really weird campsite operators. We were looking forward to a nice weekend. The arrival itself should have made us suspicious. Unfortunately, we were then dumped in the entrance area, near the "Katschmarekbude", so that we were constantly under observation. We were not only watched by the "janitors", but also by the permanent campers to see how we were behaving. We were reprimanded by a groundsman in such a cheeky, aggressive manner just because we had gone to the banks of the Rhine. According to the groundsman, this is only allowed for permanent campers. Quote from the groundsman verbatim: "You don't have to go to the Rhine, the permanent campers pay me a mega fee". And so it went on about the dog, keys to the toilets etc. There was always something. So our recommendation: just drive past!Tradus automat. - Denis H.May 2022PlusuriClean sanitary facilities Nice operators Very nice permanent campers Beautiful views and sunsets Generally very quiet Private area (no walkers or similar) Fair pricing W-LANMinusuriNot suitable for children (no playground or similar) No bathing facilities No natural protection by trees, very susceptible to wind, hardly any shade, be sure to check weather reportsBeautiful campsiteSpent a few wonderful days at the campsite. I pitched my large tent on the tent meadow on the southern part of the site. This is mainly used by day-trippers with bicycles/motorbikes. From there you have a wonderful view of the Rhine and the sunsets. The meadow is unfortunately a bit sloping in places.... I was able to connect to the power box with an extension lead (25m+), as I only used the power for charging cables I didn't even have to pay for it. I quickly came into contact with the surrounding permanent campers, who are very nice and helpful. On the day of arrival (Sunday) I was sold drinking water because I had nothing with me and during the storm I was offered accommodation in one of the caravans. This was quite violent as the site is very open to the west side, so be sure to check the weather forecast!
Basically the site is very quiet, hardly any movement or noise. Unfortunately, I had the misfortune that new cables were being pulled from the high-voltage power lines and these did not yet have spacers. These were very loud. Especially at night, the Rhine shipping, which fights against the current with fully loaded ships, can be very loud (continuous noise for over 10 minutes), earplugs recommended ;)
The sanitary building is outside the campsite by the reception and only accessible to campers. It was clean. 15 minutes showering costs 1€. However, it only has one washing-up station, so it's difficult for larger groups. I was allowed to park my car on the pitch (additional cost) and received a ticket for the barrier.
Permanent pitches have a concrete slab, electricity and water connections with meters, and plenty of grass. I think empty pitches are also allocated to temporary campers.
The operators seem a bit brusque at first, but are actually quite nice and helpful.
There is a restaurant at the entrance (not part of the site) which is very busy at weekends.Tradus automat. - Klaus R.April 2021PlusuriGood locationMinusuriZero customer friendlinessFormerly beautiful, no longer recommended todayThe campsite used to be nice and clean.
But today the site can no longer be recommended.
The needs of the guests are no longer taken care of.
Sanitary facilities are very unclean.
Children are not welcome.
There were hardly any corona measures.Tradus automat. - Maria T.September 2019PlusuriRestPure vacationWe are here for the 6th time. There are lots of opportunities for running. Forest, Rhine meadows, banks of the Rhine. Ideal with a dog, he can also go into the water. Pure peace and quiet. The reception is always friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean. The forecourt should be redesigned. The adjoining restaurant has a good menu and the staff are very friendly. All in all, pure vacation.Tradus automat.
- Uwe M.April 2019PlusuriClean sanitary facilities Friendly operator Clean placeMinusuriPermanent background noise from the ships Garbage and scrap metal in front of the receptionGreat view with background noiseI stayed at the site with my caravan for two nights at the end of April. Registration was quick and uncomplicated. The operator accompanied me to the allocated pitch and showed me the electricity and water. The site is situated on the banks of the Rhine in a few rows. The best pitches with a view of... the Rhine in the first row are occupied by permanent campers. Overall, the site is dominated by permanent campers. Most of the pitches are paved with concrete slabs, but there is always grass in between. Advantage: Clean feet when getting in and out of the camping vehicle and a paved surface. However, the concrete slabs are not absolutely level, so I had to put about 6 cm underneath to get the caravan straight. Disadvantage for campers who want to erect an awning: You can of course forget about pegs in the concrete. I assume that if you want to put up an awning, you will be given a different pitch. My pitch was right next to the electricity box. But because of the many connections in the box, the path to the pitch could be a bit longer. The water connection was right next to my pitch. The sanitary building is outside the campsite opposite the reception. Therefore, depending on the location of the pitch, the walk can be quite long. The sanitary building can be summarized as follows: outside bad inside good. The building doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, but the inside is immaculately clean and modern. The only drawback: showers cost €1 and are a bit expensive in my opinion. Chemical toilets are also emptied at the building. The shore is not exactly inviting for a swim. It's a pebble beach and not particularly well maintained. In general, you should always be careful when swimming in the Rhine because of the currents, which should not be underestimated! You should leave the site for the dog run. There are footpaths and cycle paths along the Rhine directly to the left and right of the reception. This is a good place to take your dogs for a walk. Next to the reception is a restaurant with an extensive menu. Prices are okay, usual level for restaurants. I can't say anything about the quality as I didn't eat there. As far as peace and quiet is concerned, it has to be said that you are on the Rhine. In other words, a busy waterway. Marine diesel engines are not primarily designed to be quiet. It didn't bother me personally, but there is a constant background noise. The area in front of the pitch should also be tidied up. There are old caravans here and piles of scrap metal around the garbage containers. Didn't make such a good impression.Tradus automat.
- Harald G.September 2016PlusuriRest and relaxationMinusuriNot suitable for children. No playground, no play equipment, no area for children or familiesVacation on the RhineVery nice for relaxing, shopping and walking. Mainly permanent campers. All pitches directly on the water are occupied by permanent guests.Tradus automat.
- Marcus O.May 2015PlusuriGood, clean sanitary facilities Friendly staff Good restaurant on site Great location on the RhineMinusuriThere were no disadvantages for us.Beautiful place, directly on the RhineHere the name Rheinblick says it all: you are almost on the bank and have a wonderful view of the river. We spent one night here when we cycled here from Switzerland towards Holland. The site is very well maintained and quiet. The sanitary facilities are accessible with a personal key and were very clean.... There is a very good restaurant at the entrance with great food and good value for money. We really liked that. As we were traveling by bike and tent and didn't have any furniture with us, we were glad that there was seating on the shore where we could have breakfast. All in all, a well-kept, quiet place.Tradus automat.
