- Jess G.August 2024PlusuriThe pitches are nice and large and well maintained. You don't even notice how big the campsite is. It's nice that they've kept the old walls, which gives it a lot of charm. a lot of charmMinusuriThe sanitary facilities do not correspond to a 5 star place. the first sanitary building is well maintained but getting on in years. The sanitary building at the swimming pool does not work at all. We have free Wifi but it only works to a limited extent.JessWe would come again 🥰
Perfectly suited for a short break in an idyllic settingTradus automat. - Manfred D.July 2019PlusuriBeautiful large pitches on the meadowMinusuriDisruptive through trafficSpace to relaxWe had 3 relaxing days here. Friendly staff, good and large pitches on the meadow. With a really nice view of the beautiful trees, not obstructed by hedges. A good snack, a nice bar and a very good restaurant. Only the Epiceri could be better stocked. The through traffic to and from the ferry/tunnel... is annoying. Motorhomes come and go all day long. Unfortunately, some of the roads are dusty and the dust is everywhere. The owner should separate the guests passing through from the long-staying guests - and vacuum the gravel from the paths. The sanitary facilities are more of a French standard, there is still room for improvement here.Tradus automat.
- David W.June 2018Plusuriwell placed for travel to UK.Minusurican be crowded with families in high season.superbWell placed for the various channel crossings. Very good facilities for children. - Hans-Peter W.June 2018PlusuriGood location, infrastructure in orderMinusuricannot find anygreat place, not just for passing throughWe spent a week's vacation at the campsite and explored the coast and the hinterland from here. Everything is within easy reach, and there are also good shopping facilities in the village of Guines. The restaurant is great, even if it may seem a bit expensive to some, the quality is good and you are... served courteously. Unfortunately, most people (mainly English) use the place to pass through before or after the ferry. They don't know what they are missing out on.Tradus automat.
- Dirk H.September 2017Ideal for an overnight stay ...... on the way to / from England. The site is easy to reach and is about 20 minutes from Calais.Tradus automat.
- Tanja K.July 2017PlusuriProximity to the port in Calaisovernight stayWe used the campsite as an overnight stay (like many others) and the campsite is half an hour away from Calais. The reception was very nice, the pitches are nice and big, lots of old trees. That was the end of our positive impression. The staff at the take away and supermarket are disinterested to very unfriendly and the supermarket has outrageous prices. Too bad.Tradus automat.
- Sabine L.June 2016Good place to stay for the trip to EnglandVery nice CP about 10 km before Calais, very well maintained, large pitches, sanitary simple but o.K., indoor and outdoor pool, bar and restaurant, We had booked the ferry early in the morning and since there is no barrier, we could leave the place early without any problems. We paid €20.70 for 2 peopleTradus automat.

- Bernhard K.September 2014PlusuriConvenient location to Calais ferry port. Good restaurant.MinusuriNoise pollution from road traffic. Heavily frequented square.Highly frequented square with a good restaurantFriendly reception. Beautiful park-like grounds with mature trees. Frequented by travelers to and from Great Britain. Very good restaurant on site (although somewhat higher price category). Possible noise disturbance from the nearby road (truck traffic), sanitary facilities with spacious showers. Toilets... for both sexes together, but probably not completely clean due to the high occupancy. 1 hour Wifi free of charge. ACSI discount will no longer be granted from 2016.Tradus automat.

- Lutz H.April 2011Domaine de la bien-Assise We spent Easter 2011 from 22.04.11 to 30.04.11 at the Domaine de la bien-Assise. We used the coordinates sent to us by the campsite so that we could find the campi9ng site. Unfortunately, we realized that these did not lead exactly to our destination, which did not prove to... be a problem. In the village of Guines, the Domaine de la bien-Assise is very well signposted. The forecourt is neatly laid out and gives a first taste of the pitches. The staff welcome their guests in a friendly manner and after filling out a few forms (name and address) we were taken to our pitch. Once there, we were briefed on the facilities. Electricity there, water there, Bloc sanitary facilities in this direction. The service staff pointed in the appropriate direction. After the short briefing, she left us alone on our pitch and wished us a pleasant stay. The sparse information proved to be sufficient in retrospect, as we quickly got to grips with the conditions. The site, which is an old manor house with an area of 18 hectares, is very extensive and divided into a generous 198 pitches. The estate is planted with trees that provide plenty of shade. The pitches are divided by hedges and are approx. 100-120 square meters in size. It is not possible to specify the exact size as it is not listed anywhere. Shore power is provided via CEE plugs and is fused with 6 amps. Fresh water is not available on the pitches, but taps are easily accessible throughout the site. Waste water is not available. The sanitary buildings are easily accessible and spread across the Domain. Some of them are heated. They are clean and do not meet French standards, i.e. toilet seats are available. Disposal of the chemical toilet is also taken care of, in a small hut outside the sanitary block. This must be praised as quite successful, as there is almost no odor, or rather it dissipates immediately in the fresh air. There is plenty of play equipment for children. They can run around everywhere. There is also exercise equipment for adults to keep fit. The swimming pool is covered. The roof can be moved so that it becomes an outdoor pool. There is a small market on the premises. Here you can order bread and croissants a day in advance. The opening times were not so good, but these can change during the season. In the morning from 8 to 10 am and in the evening from 5 to 7 pm. There is a small bistro right next door to quench your thirst, which opened around 6pm during our stay. Benches are set up in front of it and you can surf for free in this area. The Domaine de la bien-Assise is an excellent base for exploring the Nord-Pas-de-Calais department. It is also ideal as a haven of peace before jumping into England. The Eurotunnel is practically on the doorstep. The ferries of the various companies are also within easy reach. Accordingly, many people use the campsite for transit, but this is not a problem. We were able to use the Acsi discount card, which meant that our stay was quite cheap. To sum up: a good and inexpensive place to stay in a wonderful region.Tradus automat.
