The location. The sanitary building is located in the orangery.

It could have been cleaner, but we were there on a rainy day and everyone carried a lot of dirt into the building.
Beautiful place in a castle park
Fantastic location, very romantic. You're not on a campsite, but in the middle of a park with flowering plants and beautiful old trees. Although we were there in October. There is a wobbly path in the forest for children. Very funny. Can also be used by adults.

This campsite is located on the vast grounds of an old castle right by the water. You can walk around the whole area, through the forest, along the avenues or to the castle. Good sanitary facilities in wonderful old buildings. Well organized. Fantastic old trees.

This campsite is something really special. Recommended to anyone who wants to visit the city. Certainly a great starting point for tours, but you can also spend a relaxing time on the site, as there are many leisure activities, including a golf course.

Somewhat more comfortable sanitary facilities would be appropriate for a five-star campsite.
Camping in the castle park
Large campsite in a beautiful castle park. In the low season with ACSI-CARD € 20.00 incl. electricity. The sanitary facilities could be a little more comfortable for a five-star campsite. The town of Quimper is well worth a visit. There are two cycling routes to Pont de l'Abbé and Douarnenez.

Castle camping disappointing
Only moderately frequented at the end of May. Pitches quite nicely designed. Sanitary not particularly clean, there was an event in one of the buildings, the toilets of the campsite were also used, therefore very frequented and dirty, the reception was staffed with friendly staff. Still far from 5 stars.

With errors
First time on a CASTEL ***** site. Great site, in a park, very spacious (bike recommended), good internet for a fee, showers large and almost like at home, lots of trees, golf course integrated, pleasant atmosphere. But: swimming pool filled at the end of May, but dirty - not usable(!), waste not well separated and smelly, city highway audible noise during the day.

As the name suggests, the campsite is a botanical masterpiece; the pitches are all very nicely situated, large and shady; it is very quiet on the site; there is a golf course right next to the campsite, but you don't notice anything; the catering on the site was rather poor, there was no store and you... could only get a baguette at the nearest supermarket, about 1 km away. The beautiful old town of Quimper is 10 minutes away by bike (highly recommended). However, the price was very high at €37 (one night motorhome, 2 people).

Long walk to the reception and pool
Perfect for visiting Quimper
We arrived on a rainy day after looking at 3 campsites on the Crozon peninsula, all of which were very messy. At first we weren't too impressed. In the central area of the site, the grass was very high on many pitches and the open sanitary building at the back didn't make the best impression on us. We... then chose a pitch near the old orangery, which has really good sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, the lights didn't work in the evening and so we couldn't shower. When we reported this to reception the next day, someone came immediately to rectify the problem. Over the course of the 3 days we spent there, the site slowly came to life. The grass on the middle pitches was cut, trees and bushes trimmed back and paths maintained. A few mobile homes and caravans arrived and we no longer felt so completely alone on this huge site. The season seems to slowly start here towards the end of May. The location in the old castle park is really beautiful and peace and quiet is guaranteed. Unfortunately, it's a long way to the reception and if you pick up your baguette there on foot in the morning, you have to allow 20 minutes to get there and back. We therefore drove to the swimming pool, which is also near reception, by car. There are also good sanitary facilities and plenty of lounge chairs by the beautifully designed pool. According to the lady at reception, the pool should be heated. For our taste, it was very sparsely heated and unfortunately not suitable for a longer stay in the water. The pools were much warmer on other C-pitches we visited. The town of Quimper, which is really worth seeing, can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot on a pleasant path through the forest and along the river, or faster by bike. There are shops a short distance from the C-place, which can be reached by car or bike in a few minutes. If you want to visit Quimper, this is the place to be.

Beautiful park
A day at the campsite
We chose the campsite strategically so that we could do lots of things (excursions by car) from there. The welcome was very friendly, we were just surprised that the campsite was very sparsely frequented in the middle of July 2016. That's why we chose a day to try it out. We were given spacious pitches.... After a short time, the girls from reception appeared and regretted that the nearby toilet block had broken down and offered us a replacement pitch. As we had just set up, we didn't change pitches and reserved the right to change pitches if we extended our stay, which was kindly accepted. In the evening we went to the restaurant and had a very good meal and a nice French shanty choir with live music. It was an unforgettable evening. As we were really far away and our friends preferred to be closer to the sea, we didn't extend our stay.

Beautifully laid out pitches in the castle park. Well located for excursions. Very quiet, only a few campers in May, mainly motorhomes. The wash house was clean, the washing up area was not cleaned regularly. Swimming pool and restaurant were quite far away from the pitches. The swimming pool was not suitable for swimming but was a fun pool. But it looked very nice.

A great place on the grounds of a castle at the RAnde of the city. Wooded all around. Nice reception. With Camping Check very cheap (15€), otherwise for the preseason with electricity and water connection on site about 28 €. The pitches are huge and there is water and electricity on site. The pitches are all on grass. Very clean sanitary facilities. We will be back again.
