- Benjamin F.June 2018PlusuriTop pitches, very quiet location, very well-kept and beautifully designed groundsMinusurinoneThe best campsite on our trip to EnglandApproach from the main road A381 via an approx. 800 meter long single track. Very quiet location. Friendly welcome. Very well-kept and beautifully landscaped grounds on an old farm. Many flower beds and several herb gardens for self-service. On the "Blackrock Corpse" and "Buttermeadow" parts of the site,... very well-kept, parceled-out, gravelled pitches, some separated by hedges. The surrounding lawn is very well maintained. On the "Blackrock Corpse" part of the site, each pitch has electricity, water, waste water, TV and chemical toilet disposal. Very clean, well-kept sanitary buildings. Pleasant ambience with music. Unfortunately, the mirrors are all too low. Shopping facilities for essentials and baked goods available on site. WLAN available throughout the site for a fee. There is a pub not far away. Fenced dog run available. Barbecues with charcoal allowed. Overall, the best campsite on our trip to England with good value for money.Tradus automat.
- Martina H.May 2015PlusuriBeautiful location, very quiet and well maintainedMinusuriDaily lawn cutting with mowing machineDeluxeFantastic location, the access road is a bit narrow between hedges. We had a pitch on the expensive Blackrock Copse. Very well-kept site, the car is on gravel, next to it is plenty of grass for table & chair. Two pitches between hedges, both share the central water connection and drainage/chemical toilet... sink and waste garbage can, which is emptied by staff as required. So everything is right next to the caravan. Beautiful countryside all around, but it is quite a long walk to Newton Abbot. A good starting point for excursions to Totnes, Torquay or Dartmoor, for example. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean, the showers are large. There is a dog area for dog owners. In the kiosk you can buy some things and order bread rolls, postcards for home can also be left there.Tradus automat.
- Joachim L.August 2012A beautiful site near Newton Abbot. Large pitches with supply and waste water. Baked goods can be ordered in advance at reception or in the small store next door. Very friendly staff. In the evening you can also buy fish and chips or other snacks on the site. The sanitary facilities are very clean and... spacious. Don't rely on your satnav to get to the campsite. There are very narrow roads in the vicinity, which you certainly don't need or want to drive on with a caravan. The best way is to turn right off the A381 (Newton Abbot towards Totnes) towards Two Mile Oak Cross. There it goes off to the right (north) and is already signposted. After approx. 1.5 km you have reached the site via a single track. For dog owners: The site is extremely dog-friendly. There are two large "dog walks", which are also fenced in so that dogs can really let off steam.Tradus automat.
