Supermarket within walking distance.Tradus automat. - Susanne P.October 2017Plusurigreat scenic location, dogs allowedPeace and nature, right on the waterWhere the campsite is located, the river is so wide you'd think it was a lake! The houses are brand new and have their own kitchen/sanitary facilities, so we didn't need the sanitary block.Tradus automat.
- Paul H.October 2017PlusuriThe EiderMinusuriPlace untidy , sanitary facilities impossible , no contact person on site ! exorbitant prices !Construction site ! not highly recommended ! Never againThe place is obviously still under construction! Sanitary facilities unkempt, rental properties overpriced, dog much too expensive, no care, no one at the reception! Never again !Tradus automat.
- Sophie H.August 2017PlusuriWater view!MinusuriNo direct bathing accessEiderlodge highly recommendedWe had an Eiderlodge, everything was new and very well maintained. Location with a view of the water. Very relaxing days, we will definitely be back. The service was also very courteous.Tradus automat.
- Kerstin E.June 2017Plusurismall, quiet, beautiful locationMinusuriThe direct slope to the Eider without a fence is less suitable for guests with small children.Friendly and relaxedI camped here with my dog for one night in June 2017. The location directly on the Eiderschleife is very nice, as is the place. Supermarket within walking distance, nice operator, uncomplicated organization and pleasant tranquility, great price-performance ratio.Tradus automat.
- Gaby B.June 2017PlusuriPure nature, small manageable spaceMinusuriNot for usidyllic campsiteWe spent a long weekend at this beautifully situated campsite on the River Eider. An ideal place for us to switch off! It was our second stay and this time we had our kayak with us. The campsite has gained a lot from a change of ownership last year. In addition to new mobile homes and houseboats, the... pitches have been redesigned and day guests can now stand directly in the front row to the water when free. It was fantastic! The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but they are functional and clean! We will certainly be back!Tradus automat.
- Volker A.June 2017Plusuri+ Nature and water sports + new mobile homes and houseboats + WOMO pitches directly on the water + family jetty + *****LandscapeTom Sawyer's raft adventure on the EiderWater & nature on the Eider - you can still find it here: I spent the night here on Monday evening instead of a hotel room - simply in the new houseboat at the jetty... I got the key a few meters away in the owner-managed EDEKA, took something to eat and then went straight to the jetty - here everything... is newly laid out with new mobile homes and 2 houseboats, and then after dinner on the houseboat terrace we went over the bathing ladder into the water for a swim...great refreshment! Afterwards we tried out the motorized raft we could rent: It was like being transported back to childhood - Tom Sawyer sends his regards... Definitely great fun for all family adventures or anglers in a beautiful landscape - I will try it out again with my kids! Thanks for the relaxing time!Tradus automat.
- Mona W.May 2017PlusuriVery quiet and relaxing, pure nature even children become calmer.... ;-)Beautiful place located directly on the riverI was a guest in one of the new river houses with my family, husband, 3 children and dog. Unfortunately, it was only a short trip for 2 nights...but the recreational value was at least a week!!! After the change of operator/owner at the end of 2016, a lot has happened on the site, for example with the river houses and houseboats. So much more attractive and beautifully designed.... keep it up.... ;-)Tradus automat.
- Peter M.September 2014Pure relaxation in the idyll on the EiderHello camper community, my fishing buddy and I have been spending our fishing vacation together on the Eider for 4 years now and we have been guests at Eidercamping every year. The site is picturesquely situated directly on the Eiderschleife and offers a wonderful view over the Eider. The Eider offers... all kinds of fishing opportunities, whether from land or by boat. The owner of the site, Andreas, is an enthusiastic angler himself and is on hand with help and advice to ensure that anglers have everything they need. He is/was always very helpful and concerned about the well-being of his guests. Pets are always welcome. A rental fishing boat is moored at the site's own jetty, just as you would expect from an angler. A spacious Whaly with an 8 hp engine and a speed of approx. 24 km/h. An echo sounder can be hired if required. Permits are available directly in Süderstapel. Contact address is available on request from the site operator. The permanent campers on the site are a very friendly and amiable community whose members welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner. Helpfulness and friendliness are a matter of course there, something that is rarely found nowadays. The sanitary facilities are older, but functional and always tiptop clean and well maintained. In short: If you are looking for relaxation in a pleasant atmosphere with nice people, Eidercaming in Süderstapel is the right place for you!Tradus automat.
- Jörg U.July 2013First time with Andreas - a very friendly, helpful groundsman who also really welcomes dogs. Unfortunately we were only there for 2 days, but the area and the village of Süderstapel as well as the leisure facilities are remarkable and the peace and quiet there...just great.Tradus automat.
- wulf s.June 2013We have been there several times now. We have always been received in a very friendly and helpful manner and felt very welcome. The owner of the site is very friendly and open-minded, especially towards my son who loves fishing. The site offers peace and quiet and fishing fun in a top location, but is... rather unsuitable for loud party lovers due to the philosophy of the site. A paradise for children, there is a bathing area and playground nearby, also very nice with our dog. In addition to the friendly site manager, the friendly permanent campers are also striking. The sanitary facilities are simple, but everything is there, clean and functional. We'll be back in March!Tradus automat.
- Kai N.April 2013Nice campsite right on the Eider. Nice harbor/jetty and the water ski area right outside the door. Slipway is available and good. Since Andreas only took over the site 2 years ago, you have to take the current condition into consideration. The course is a rough diamond that can be turned into a top course... with a little hard work and sweat. BUT things should be started and carried out in the short term, because the current state is damaging the reputation of the campsite, which it does not deserve. I would be happy to come back a second time.Tradus automat.
- Lutz H.August 2012Very nice and quiet campsite directly on the Eider. The groundsman is very nice and helpful. The sanitary facilities are simple but very clean. The construction sites are acceptable because, according to the owner, he has just taken over the site and wants to make it a nice place and there are conversions that are not only necessary in winter. We will definitely be back.Tradus automat.
- Hans Eckhardt R.July 2012Top location directly on the Eider with a wonderful view of the river, very friendly and helpful camping host, but there is a lack of paved pitches for WOMOS, which will certainly come, right? The one with the cuddly dog.Tradus automat.
- Uwe B.May 2012We've already spent two long weekends on the site this year and will definitely be back. The new (by the way, really friendly) owner has rolled up his sleeves, is working and polishing incessantly, but still always has time "when something is wrong".Tradus automat.
- Heiko P.May 2012The campsite has a great location, but the site resembles a building site - there are several building sites on the site at the same time, as well as various construction machines. There are no pitches with drainage. Here you can get a guaranteed pitch with a certificate. The sanitary facilities are... not for the sensitive, there is only one toilet in the men's room that is open and it has no toilet seat but only germs. The permanent campers are nice and friendly, great people. The groundsman is still practicing friendliness but is still struggling. Everything is charged extra here, i.e. high costs for little service. Conclusion. You don't go here twice.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Ferienpark Süderstapel May 22, 2012Thank you very much for your review, Mr. P.!
Your assertion that there is only one toilet open in the men's restrooms is simply wrong. And as you could certainly see, the toilets are not designed for toilet seats, so there are none. These special toilets are cleaner to keep clean than those with toilet... seats. Unfortunately, sometimes you have guests who you can clean up after all day, but they still won't be satisfied, especially if they have already been threatened with a ban because they don't want to follow any rules.
Your claim that everything is charged extra is also completely wrong, but you know that. With us, everything is included, even the recovery of stuck motorhomes whose drivers don't follow recommendations and almost damage the 5 m long and 2 m high recovery vehicle because they didn't see it.
Incidentally, the construction site in the currently unused area is used to renew the drainage so that even inexperienced drivers no longer get stuck and the painting work on the façade, which was interrupted due to the guests, has now been completed.
I am glad that you have realized that you were in the wrong place with your party group. I'm sure you'll find a place where you can come back a second time.
I wish you every success in finding another place for your next meeting, farewell!
Andreas S.Tradus automat. - Nils P.May 2012Site mainly occupied by very nice permanent campers. Unfortunately there are no attractive pitches for guests. Very muddy, unsurfaced ground (guaranteed hardstanding!!!) Price-performance ratio is not in proportion. There are already nice five-star pitches for about three euros more. Sanitary facilities an imposition. The location of the site is unique with a view over the Eider. The new groundsman has opened up large building sites!Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Ferienpark Süderstapel May 22, 2012Dear Mr. P.,
My comment to heiko-214 also applies to you, and I don't want to repeat myself, as you were also here together.
Good luck!
Andreas S.Tradus automat. - Geht K.April 2012Beautiful location directly on the Eider. The site is simple and yes, there is renovation work going on. This can possibly be attributed to the fact that the operator has only recently taken over the site and is renovating it, which ultimately benefits all guests. I can't understand the criticism of the toilets, they were clean and tidy when I visited.Tradus automat.
- Jens Ejnar S.April 2011A really nice place, close to the water and city. We have a seasonal place since 2011, also coming in 2013Tradus automat.
- Doc S.August 2010Quiet and idyllic campsite on the River Eider with jetties. Mostly very nice and friendly permanent campers from the Hamburg area. Recommended for a short trip. Sanitary facilities take some getting used to (e.g. WC without toilet lid, showers with curtains, chemical WC outside right next to the washing-up areas...). Not necessarily recommended for families with small children due to the direct location on the water.Tradus automat.
