Our pitch was under a tree in partial shade. We didn't have satellite reception, which didn't bother us at all. Although the site is on a road, it was wonderfully quiet. The owner's restaurant can be recommended without reservation. The sanitary facilities were in good condition. We will certainly be back.Tradus automat.

The sanitary facilities are okay.
I was satisfied with the site and could have given it a "good" rating if it hadn't been for the problem with the... price. It is quoted at 19.60 euros on the website. For a pitch with 2 adults. I was alone with a minibus. The pitch was big enough for my car, a small table and a chair. There would have been room for a second one. It was also big enough for me. But now the price: 34.30 euros!
Yes, I didn't ask when I arrived and relied on the information on the website. I know that they often differ. But I didn't expect anything like this. I won't make a mistake like that again.Tradus automat. - Mario H.May 2021PlusuriPeace and relaxation Super friendly hosts Great culinary offerMinusuriBrodenbach itself (approx. 15 minutes' walk away) has very little to offerCozy campsite in the midst of tranquilityWe were camping here for the first time "after Corona 2021" and felt very comfortable. Everything was well organized, the operators super friendly and helpful. The pitches are beautifully situated in partial shade, in the middle of a wooded area, but right next to a country road, which was only moderately... busy during our visit. The only negative thing we noticed was the chemical toilet disposal solution: this is located in a room next to the dishwashing and "communal cooking room" - so it smells rather unpleasant there, you voluntarily flush quickly ;-)Tradus automat.
- Jörg M.October 2020PlusuriVery beautiful nature with very friendly staff.MinusuriCurrently under construction and therefore no direct access to the Moselle possible.Beautiful natural campsiteWe received a very friendly welcome from the staff. The access road is very narrow for caravans and the allocated pitch was also very tight, as there were simply too many campers in the small area. It's a shame that the cozy atmosphere of the mill area is not continued on the campsite.Tradus automat.
- C. S.September 2020PlusuriThe course is located in a romantic valley of the Moselle.MinusuriThe hygiene concept of the sanitary facilities for the campers has failed. It seems that only makeshift wiping is done. Shower cubicles and the toilet washbasin are partly contaminated with germs, toilet paper is skimped on despite there being plenty of space (partly non-existent). A single pump spray disinfection for everyone in front of the sanitary building (and that in Corona times). Access limit in the sanitary area (max. 2 pers.) is not controlled and exceeded excessively. Night-time illumination of the path from the campsite to the toilet hardly available. Electricity box with open contacts and accessible to all. (Danger to life) No permanent pitches on the rear meadow. (When it rains you sink into the mud) ...grass pavers would be enough here(!)Romantic location, but poor hygieneIt's a shame that this square is being increasingly neglected. It seems that the focus is now only on the guesthouse and the rental projects. Although prices are regularly raised, the standard, especially in terms of sanitary hygiene, is falling more and more. Abandoned permanent pitches are left to... their own devices. If you compare this site with other sites, it is not keeping up with the times. As the site is located in a hollow, there is hardly any radio or TV reception. (Tall trees usually prevent satellite reception) Mobile radio is also hardly possible and there is no free WiFi on the campsite. There is also no store for essentials. Due to the very long way from the rear pitch to the toilet (there is only one at the entrance), which is also very poorly lit at night (lamps are available, but defective), this site is less suitable for older and anxious people. (at least for those who are dependent on an external WC)Tradus automat.
- Andrea K.August 2020PlusuriProximity to the MoselleMinusuriPartly very unkempt place in the area of the permanent campers; showers cost extra, 5-6 minutes shower time but the time keeps running, although you turn off the water ... that's not acceptable!!!Beautiful historic propertyWe were here for a few days in August in absolutely summery weather. We were allocated a pitch in a large area in front of the campsite barrier. Not particularly appealing because there were no pitches here and it seemed as if everyone who was only staying for a few days was put here. However, it turned... out that our pitch was super shady and right next to the stream, which was really great for this heat! All the other pitches opposite us were mercilessly in the sun all day, at almost 40°...
The historic building of the mill is really beautiful to look at, the sanitary facilities were clean, not particularly large but sufficient.
The owner is not rude, but a bit too arrogant for me personally.
Behind the barrier there were two or three larger pitches for tourist campers, the rest are occupied by permanent campers and some of them are really unkempt. Especially the open spaces.
The proximity to the Moselle, the beautiful villages and of course the Ehrenburg is really great. A visit to Thurant Castle is also highly recommended!
I think the price for the pitch is too high compared to other pitches at over 30 euros! We were also charged for a small tent that didn't have its own pitch and simply stood behind our caravan. Although I was informed of this in advance and accepted it, I still found it "strange".
The road that runs past the site is quite busy during the day, but quiet at night.Tradus automat. - Chris M.July 2020PlusuriThe restaurant with a small, regional menu is fun Friendly serviceMinusuriWe were lined up motorhome to motorhome lined up. Although in the reservation 2 places with 80-100 square meters each were confirmed. We didn't even get half of that with two motorhomes. But 32.50 euros for 2 adults, 1 camper van. It wasn't like a campsite but parking on a parking space, What a shame!Nice location, but....Due to good reviews we had
we decided on this place.
We gave the restaurant a good rating.
We felt like second-class guests on the camping site with our small motorhomes
like second-class guests because the part of the
of the site was parked up with motorhome after motorhome.
Just as you would expect from many pitches - but the price was too steep.Tradus automat. - Brigitte W.July 2020PlusuriComplete peace and quiet with lots of birdsong in the morningMinusuriVery full at the weekendNature vacation with free-range chickens on the pitchSanitary facilities were clean. The food in the mill is highly recommended. We had to wait 45 minutes as all the tables were full. But it was worth the wait. Everything was fresh and homemade and very, very tasty. Thanks again to the kitchen! Price / performance for the campsite... still ok, but in addition to the pitch price 1,30Euro for a shower token is already expensive.
What you have to be prepared for is that there is no network on the campsite. We didn't find it annoying. Here you can concentrate on the essentials and enjoy nature and peace. Ideal for hiking. Many hiking trails right by the campsite. We were there with our dog and it was ideal for dog owners.Tradus automat. - Axel D.May 2020PlusuriStream nearby, hedges between the pitchesMinusurino WLAN, dangerous path into the village without sidewalk, partly uneven groundUnsatisfactory price/performance ratioWhen we signed in, the chef came towards us with a face mask under his chin. We immediately refrained from eating anything.
The campsite was very full.
In my opinion, €31 per night for a camper van with 2 people and 1 dog without using the showers or toilets is far too much.
The facilities also looked a bit run down.
The garbage cans were overflowing.Tradus automat. - Karin B.October 2019PlusuriLocation, cateringMinusurinone foundWonderful stayWe were - unfortunately - only there for 3 nights with a camper van. It was a real treat: great hiking trails for easy and more demanding needs. Just a few minutes away from the Moselle with excursion possibilities. Particularly noteworthy: The good and pretty inn. Small but nice. Very nice outdoor terrace.... Run by the third generation. If someone complains about unclean sanitary facilities, the reason lies exclusively with individual guests who leave traces and do not follow the rules.Tradus automat.

We are very happy about it! Best regards, the Heinz familyTradus automat. - wilma s.July 2018PlusuriWe were on the Moselle, where we are very fond of (motorcycling).Minusurisee aboveFamily vacation on the MoselleWe had phoned the day before to register for arrival around midday. But lo and behold, the registration desk was closed. We crept around the house and an elderly lady opened it for us, telling us it was a day off. She went in search of our keys. My husband and I had rented the wooden house (nice to see... on the internet). We were met with a wave of warm, stale air. "You'll have to air it out first." Good thing we hadn't booked in advance. The windows were opened, but it was difficult in the living area because the backrest of the bench and the loose window handle were blocking us. While the elderly lady and the rest of the family made their way to the apartment, we looked around our "little house". The bedroom is not accessible! The bed completely fills the room. Unfortunately, the feathers had flown out of the pillows. In the bathroom, we found the cleaning lady's cleaning cloth on the mirror shelf, and we weren't sure whether the shower mat was also a pick-up. The fridge hadn't been washed out, the kitchen front was a real joy for any forensics team. We had to make an effort to look out of the windows. Now to the location: The house stands in a row with the 2 Tini houses on a barren lawn without any privacy protection to any side, but adjacent to the parking lot and directly to the access road to the campsite. We rarely had such "good" contact, we were happy when visitors didn't park backwards. It was also nice in the morning (I'm an early riser) when I sat on the terrace with a cup of coffee and the campers drove up with their full urine canisters and emptied them in the sanitary facilities. We had a clear view. It was also very pretty around the cottage: dried geraniums and self-sown grass in the pots in front of the windows, nothing else. There were 2 ways to get to it, one through the front door and one to the left past the house to the terrace. There we passed a place where another wooden house had probably once stood, various remnants were still there: old coffee cups and also a toilet bowl. The apartment was just as clean as our cottage. When we tried to activate the blackout in the bedroom, it fell at our feet. The glass table in the living room was replaced by a "pretty" wooden table that didn't match the rest of the furniture and had seen better days. On the last evening we went out for dinner at the mill: kudos to the chef. I had the home-made grated cookies with salmon, one cookie like the other ;). When I got home, I checked the bill again and noticed that I was charged €80 for 2 children for 4 nights. When I asked by email, I was told that €10 per child per night was charged for bed linen and final cleaning. Conclusion: The price for the house and the apartment are overpriced. As guests we did not feel welcome. If you want to have it "romantic": Please do not rent a Tini cottage at Mühle Vogelsang. For us, this vacation is history. FaziTradus automat.Răspuns de la Historische Mühle Vogelsang October 25, 2018Dear Ms. Swiatkowski,
Thank you very much for your review on camping.info!
Arrival is possible from 3.00 pm, as stated on our homepage and on the confirmation of your booking. If you arrive at noon, it may be that the apartment is not yet available and that there is no one on site, as we are only here... from 3.00 pm.
This on the one hand.
On the subject of cleanliness, we would like to tell you that this point is very important to us - you could have shown us "the defects" on site and then our cleaning ladies would have come to you again - would not have been an issue!
As you will have noticed, we had a particularly hot summer this year and, among other things, staff shortages, so it can easily happen that the lawn has suffered as a result. For this reason, the planting of our new parking lot has not yet taken place. We only recently renovated it and were unable to carry out any further planting due to the hot temperatures.
It is perhaps only human for a cleaner to overlook a "rag" and it can happen to anyone.
The apartment you stayed in contains a mix of new and old items. You didn't notice the antique bedroom?
That's our style - we mix old with new and combine tradition with modernity. Everyone has their own taste here.
The plot you mentioned was recently vacated - it's logical that this doesn't happen within 2 hours! The person is working and can only vacate the pitch when they have time, but this does not matter and we do not want to justify ourselves for this, just as little, if you rent a wooden cottage on a campsite, you should not be surprised if someone on a bicycle and empties a toilet cassette and also various caravans or motorhomes come ...
It is a pity that you do not find your way to us in person, but take the time to write these lines on the Internet. We are a privately run company, we rely on as many positive reviews as possible. We know our own weaknesses, but we can't change everything at once - we can only make a profit if we do. We find it a pity that you chalked up our Tiny House, even though you neither slept in it nor were able to see it from the inside.
We also think it's a shame that you didn't give us a second chance on site.
Conclusion: We live from our guests and are also very happy to be hosts. You would have sensed this if you had given us the opportunity to make improvements.
Kind regards,
The Heinz familyTradus automat. - Herbert M.June 2018PlusuriFriendliness, location, restoration, cleanliness of sanitary facilitiesMinusurihigh grass in placesBeautiful campsiteWe were there for a weekend at the beginning of June. The reception was very friendly. The pitches are not parceled out, but there was enough space. The sanitary facilities were clean. It's a great place to relax or go on excursions in the surrounding area. The restaurant on site is highly recommended.... One small drawback was the height of the grass. In the morning you had to walk through the grass, which was high and wet in places. But we will definitely be back.Tradus automat.
- Armin D.May 2018PlusuriQuiet location, nice ambience Friendly operators Clean, modern sanitary facilities Directly on the hiking trailMinusuripoor cell phone reception (D1 and E-Plus) no wifi chemical spout next to dishwashing areaBeautifully situated in a side valley of the MoselleUpdate: After almost two years we were again on the campsite Unfortunately we have to lower our rating from 5 to 4 stars, because we did not notice some things during the first two visits. Flaw 1: The drain of the chemical toilet is in the same area as the sinks (+ hotplates) and the bathtub for babies... (why is it not in the shower / washing area ?) Drawback 2: There is no satellite reception on the pitches directly by the stream Drawback 3: The power supply boxes are too far apart Positive: A new climbing castle for the kids Drawback 4: Why not new play equipment, the swing looks very dilapidated ------------------------------------------- We were at the campsite at the beginning of August and were given a very warm welcome by the owners, who also run a very nice inn. The campsite is in a very quiet location in a small side valley of the Moselle (approx. 500 meters away), with Ehrenburg Castle in the background. The individual meadows with the pitches are separated by hedges, there are hardly any fixed pitches, you pitch where there is space, the operator (cook in the inn) usually shows you where you can pitch. The sanitary facilities are located in the inn, but separate from it and are very attractively designed. The capacity is limited, but when we were there, the place was not quite so full and it was easy to manage. You need tokens for the showers, which you can get at the inn. You can order bread rolls and pick them up in the morning from the small store at the entrance. The site is natural, the ground is very hard (slate), so you need a bit longer for the pegs. We recommend visiting the restaurant once, the menu is small, but everything is freshly prepared! The playground for the children is getting on in years, but is in good working order. There is a hiking trail right behind the inn, which you can also use to get to the Ehrenburg. Overall, we can only recommend the site and will certainly camp there again in the fall! Addition to the campsite operator's comment: If you look at my overall rating, the rating is still above the 3 stars awarded. The average of the individual ratings is even higher, so I can't quite understand the tone of the comment. It's true that the space inside the building is cramped, so it would have made sense to install the chemical sink outside, as many other places have. The reference to the lack of satellite and mobile phone reception is a reference to other campers, not a criticism of the site. Just like the reference to the distant power connections, translated for campers: Take enough cable with you! All the renovations that have been carried out are in connection with the restaurant, but not with the campsite.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Historische Mühle Vogelsang May 23, 2018How do you do?
Thank you very much for your review on camping.info.
We would like to respond to your criticisms/shortcomings!
Regarding your "shortcoming 1", as you will have seen, our sanitary facilities are housed in an old mill. Unfortunately, we do not have the space or the structural possibilities... to "just" make changes. Therefore, it was only possible at this point. We are also required by the BVCD to provide appropriate washing and showering facilities according to our capacity.
Regarding your "shortcoming 2", this is due to the fact that our campsite is located on the edge of the forest - the same applies to the Wi-Fi, which is an external circumstance that we cannot influence. Unfortunately, we only have a small DSL line, so this service is not available. However, we do not advertise with W-Lan.
Regarding your "shortcoming 3", the electricity boxes are far apart? We have installed power boxes or individual sockets at every possible location. If a cable is still too short, we still have adapters or cable reels that can be borrowed for a deposit.
Regarding your "shortcoming 4", it's nice that after two years you've noticed that we have new playground equipment, perhaps you've also noticed the new parking lot, the small mill houses and our kitchen extension. Or that we have had a petting zoo for two years now. We have put a lot of heart and soul, sweat and money into our company over the last few years.
Unfortunately, you can't renovate everything at once or there isn't enough time, after all we are a small family business.
The swings are already there, but unfortunately we haven't had the time to replace them yet.
It's a pity that you can only list "shortcomings" but don't even "notice" the ambience, the kitchen, the location, all the new acquisitions. Or did you not have a nice stay?
We know our own "shortcomings" and have not stood still since we took over the business, guests who know us know that. We determine the pace and scope of our new investments or acquisitions ourselves. We calculate our prices honestly and fairly. We make a profit that makes the company financially independent, so we guarantee constant expansion, further construction or maintenance. This also ensures the safety of our employees and guarantees the company a long-term future. That is what we strive for, that is our credo!
We are very sorry that our campsite did not meet your expectations or requirements.
Please note that we are a privately run company and rely on as many positive reviews as possible!
Thank you very much!

Only a few power points and therefore a long cable is needed which has to be laid across the pitch. The lighting partly without function and with unprotected neon tubes! The much too small sanitary... area is nicely renovated. Scullery in a small niche without space right next to the chemical toilet sink! A NoGo! The restaurant is SUPER! It seems that the focus is only on this and the rest of the urgently needed renovation of the infrastructure is being put on the back burner. It was actually a nice stay, but unfortunately we were chased away by an excavator digging a trench right in front of our awning. Here again, another cable was simply thrown into the ground and filled in, very unprofessional. The place is nice and beautifully situated but a lot still needs to be done! ...then we will definitely be back...Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Historische Mühle Vogelsang March 6, 2018Dear Mr. Häck,
Thank you very much for your review on camping.info.
We would like to respond to your points of criticism!
As you can see from our "dilapidated" facilities, we have been constantly renovating and renewing for several years. Unfortunately, not everything can be done at the same time and... all at once.
We informed you in advance of the excavator work that a trench had to be dug because the lighting was attached to it. Our lighting is not without function but was replaced at the time because it was defective. Your answer was: NO PROBLEM! So much for that. We can only carry out our renovation work in the winter months, unfortunately this is not possible during the season. "Expelled" is also a bit of an exaggeration, the excavation work didn't even take a day. On the one hand, you criticize the non-functioning lighting, when it is being worked on it is also not okay.
Regarding the small sanitary facilities, we can say that on the one hand it is due to our structural conditions that it cannot be bigger, on the other hand the facilities are approved by the BVCD and sufficient for our size and in addition, you were alone on the pitch at the time - so you should actually have had enough space. =)
We attach great importance to cleanliness in our sanitary facilities.
We are very sorry that our campsite did not meet your expectations or requirements.
Please note, we are a privately run business and rely on as many positive reviews as possible!
