Location between river and town great, campsites there a bit humpy
Out of season (Whitsun) a bit expensive, we found... and the supply at the place as well. Nice and professional otherwise, very spacious, a bit uneven by the river, but you have space and trees for that

Narrow single-lane access road with a maximum height of 3m. Friendly reception. Small pool area. Outdated sanitary facilities. Defective or broken parts are not replaced. In September most of the toilets and washing facilities are already closed. Cleanliness of the toilets could be better - but this is also down to the campers. Nice crêperie "Le Beau Lieu Breton" in the Rue Presbytère.

Large pitches, heated swimming pool, close to the beautiful town of Beaulieu
Super campsite on a river island
Very beautiful park-like grounds with tall trees, spacious pitches, friendly, very good English-speaking team at reception, clean sanitary facilities, heated swimming pool. The campsite is situated on an island in the river Dordogne in the medieval town of Beaulieu. Access is through a narrow town gate... with a height restriction of approx. 3.00 meters. In June, the site was surprisingly busy, with many English, Dutch and German guests. Baguettes can be ordered at reception the evening before, but there are also plenty of bakeries in the town.

Beautiful place
Very nice location on the river - great if you have a water-loving dog. Well-kept, park-like grounds. Lots of things to do, caves, castles, beautiful villages, picturesque village right at the entrance to the site. Reduced services in mid-September: no bar, snack bar, only 4 toilets and 4 showers, but... quite clean. Unfortunately closed at night from 23h to 7h. Actually unacceptable. In contrast to the rest of the campsite, the pitches by the water look pretty worn out (no grass, therefore more sandy ground)

Vacation by the river
We stayed here for a week in July with two children (6/9). We had booked a pitch right by the river. For the children, the pool was the number one attraction, we also enjoyed sitting in the chairs directly in the river. The very nice village is right next to the campsite, and there is also a very good... bakery there. Small supermarkets are in the village, the larger one can be reached by bike in 10 minutes. You can go canoeing directly from the campsite, and swimming in the river was great. Great vacation, CP highly recommended.
