- Melina H.March 2023PlusuriThe staff are very politeMinusuriSwimming pool is tiny Animation only for children under 6The devil is in the detailThe swimming pool is unfortunately only suitable for small children without an outdoor pool and unfortunately only has two showers. Unfortunately, the animation is no different.
All programs are only suitable for children under the age of 6 :/ There are various play equipment in the individual areas... so that the children can let off steam. Our children really enjoyed the indoor playground. The supermarket is very well organized. I missed fresh fruit and vegetables there. There were poop bags for dogs on some of the garbage cans. Unfortunately, this was the only thing offered for the animals at the dog-friendly campsite. Unfortunately, there was no free-range meadow for the four-legged friends.
Unfortunately, we had no electricity on arrival and the technician had to come. Unfortunately, this issue continued throughout our entire vacation. The power kept going off. We were told it was due to our consumption (although there was no electricity on arrival),
8 amps are included in the price. Unfortunately, according to the manager, this is not even enough to operate a coffee machine and a toaster at the same time.
So we increased the number of amps to 10.
The power still kept going out. So the manager gave us 2 more amps.
Unfortunately, this only changed the situation slightly. When we got back to the motorhome in the evening, the power was completely off again. Although we weren't even in the motorhome, we were again told that our consumption was too high and that we could increase it to 16 amps. Only the heating ran on gas/electricity.
Talking to other campers, we heard that they had the same problems with the power supply.Tradus automat. - Nico H.February 2021PlusuriSpace makes a good visual impressionMinusuriinflexible and not customer-orientedQuestionable payment modalities or customer-unfriendlyWe have booked for Easter and wanted to clarify early on what options (e.g. voucher...) there are if we cannot arrive due to the Corona quarantine rules.
This was not specifically addressed and reference was always made to the payment and cancellation conditions.
Instead, they continued to insist on... full payment 1.5 months before the start of the trip.
Corona even excluded the travel cancellation insurance offered.
It is logical that a campsite also needs planning security and the associated cash flow, but you also have to give the customer a sure!!!! sign that there are options if you don't want to travel because you are allowed to quarantine in Holland for 10 days (as of now) and then in Germany for another 10 days (as of now).
Exactly this question remained unanswered. We would have liked to have received a voucher.
We therefore canceled before paying the balance so as not to lose the entire amount. In future, we will pay closer attention to the payment terms when selecting places and choose accordingly.
Zandstuve is certainly a nice campsite but I miss the ideology of camping.Tradus automat. - Chiara Z.October 2019PlusuriGreat wash house with extra children's area which cannot be seen from outside. The entertainment staff and those at the information desk were very helpful. Music even in the wash house which can also be described as music. You can make nice excursions even with the family in the areaMinusuriThere is also music from the wash house at night when you actually want to sleep. There was very little program during the vacations. For children aged 7 and over, some of the programs were no longer for them (which would have been of interest to their age). The food was too expensive. E.g. singing songs in the children's paddling pool at the swimming pool etc.Good campsiteWe refer it to the fall vacation 2019 where we were there.
The campsite makes a clean impression.
We were near the wash house about 4 pitches away.
Which was good. The wash house has its own
Children's area which cannot be seen from outside (no more peeping toms).
Disadvantage: if you are so close to... the wash house you can hear the music all the time (EVEN AT NIGHT)!
The entertainment staff and also those at the information desk were very helpful.
This is a big disadvantage for parents with children who want to experience and discover something. In the Dutch vacations there is a full animation program and if you go after the German school vacations, for example, there is hardly any animation.
Not much German is spoken during the animation.
We were there during the autumn vacations and there were only about 3/4 small programs.
You can go on nice excursions outside the campsite.Tradus automat. - Andre G.October 2019PlusuriGood kiosk Clean site Clean sanitary facilities Child friendly Small swimming pool Indoor playgroundMinusuriNo disadvantages foundShort October vacation Gladly againWe stayed here for 3 nights in October 2019 and couldn't find anything negative. The entertainment for the children was good and the whole campsite team made an effort to explain everything in German. When we were there, 90% were German and 10% Dutch. This may be different in summer. The site and the... sanitary facilities are very clean. There is a relatively inexpensive kiosk on site. Delicious pizza, burgers, fries and ice cream are also available. The site is dog-friendly, with dog waste bag dispensers everywhere. Kids quickly make friends, as there were lots of families with children here. All in all, a great place.... Conclusion: It doesn't always have to be "De kleine Wolf" just because everyone goes there :-)Tradus automat.
- Jan H.August 2019PlusuriSwimming, playing, leisure - everything on siteMinusuriOlder sanitary building, noisy in the eveningFamily square with a good supporting programA total family place, you hardly ever see couples or other guests without children. That's why it's a bit noisy everywhere (at least during our stay in the vacation season). As is often the case in the Netherlands, the pitches are mainly arranged in large groups around a small playground. Loud activities... until well after 22:00 were normal here, and those who have to put smaller children to bed earlier can sometimes have problems. The play hall is a bit older, but air-conditioned and our kids (2 and 6) liked it. The same goes for the swimming pool, which is a bit older inside and more modern outside. But everything is there, from the (small) swimmer's pool to various children's pools and the funnel slide! The sanitary buildings are mostly older, only the "Buur" building is brand new and very chic! The other buildings will probably follow in the next few years. Cobus (a blue owl) and his companions are omnipresent. A relatively large and very friendly entertainment team, considering the size of the site, always offers something for the kids. From dancing in the morning to a musical in the campsite's own theater, there's plenty on offer. However, despite its proximity to the border, the campsite is almost exclusively frequented by Dutch people. This may make it a little more difficult for the kids to make contact. Other campsites in the vicinity have more mixed guests. We liked it! The only criticism would be the noise level in the evening, but that doesn't always have to be the case.Tradus automat.
- Janina R.April 2019PlusuriPitch / children's entertainment / children's play areaMinusuriThe swimming pool too small for all guestsVery great campsiteA very great and child-friendly campsite. We were greeted in a friendly manner and were able to get to our pitch quickly. They also speak German and I really liked the entertainmentTradus automat.
- Sandra S.April 2019Plusurivery friendly + helpful reception great indoor play world + cool slides in the indoor pool + outdoor pool great excursion destinations nearbyMinusurimaybe a few more playgrounds for older children would be niceEaster vacations 2019We spent ten great days at Zandstuve with our two children (4 and 7) during the Easter vacation. The reception is very helpful, the new wash house is ultra-modern and was always spotlessly clean even at peak times, the indoor play area and indoor+outdoor pool are great and the entertainment team come... up with lots of different ideas, and in the first week they even tried to speak a lot of German and always made an effort to involve the German children too. You can also go on great excursions in the surrounding area. Giethoorn, for example, is only 1 hour away. We will definitely be back!Tradus automat.
- Mathias W.April 2019PlusuriGreat sanitary facilities Great hiking trails Great play facilities for childrenMinusuriRestricted opening hours of the supermarketGreat vacation during the Easter vacationsHello, We spent a great vacation at de Zandstuve in mid-April. The site is absolutely family-oriented. We were close to the new modern wash house. This also has large family bathrooms. The sanitary facilities were always clean. The swimming pool and the indoor play hall are great for the kids. The site... is also recommended for dog owners. There are bag dispensers everywhere on the site and there are great hiking opportunities outside the site. The pitches are laid out in a circle and there is always a small playground in the middle. The only thing that bothered us a little was the limited opening hours of the supermarket, but Hardenberg was not far away, with all the shopping facilities you need in life. All the shopping facilities you need in life. Including a recommended camping store that also exchanges German gas bottles.Tradus automat.
- Björn K.October 2018PlusuriCleanliness, modern sanitary building, friendly staff, spacious parking spaceMinusurinonevery nice well-kept campsiteWe were there on our fall vacation and have nothing to complain about. Very clean sanitary facilities and friendly staff.Tradus automat.
- Rainer H.October 2018Plusuri- animation - Sanitary buildingMinusuri- Swimming pool too small for older childrenAnother beautiful campsite in OverijsselWe stayed at De Zandstuve with 2 children (4 and 6 years old) during the fall break. As expected, the campsite was already in low season mode, but that didn't mean that anything was missing. Some parts of the site were completely closed off and were being winterized. Didn't bother us as there wasn't... that much going on. We had pre-booked, but without requesting a specific pitch (for a fee). We were allocated a pitch in reception. However, we were allowed to have a look at the pitch and then move free of charge. We then switched to the 'Watergorgels' section. It's a bit further away from the 'center', but right next to the new wash house. And it really is TOP. Super-modern, clean and functional. Each toilet has its own cubicle with ventilation and disinfectant. There is absolutely no unpleasant odor in the entire wash house. The indoor pool was pleasantly warm, but designed more for small children. Only a small pool with a depth of 1.40m. But the water slide is fun. There was no lifeguard. The outdoor area of the swimming pool was already closed. The indoor playground was sufficient for our children. However, there are better facilities at nearby campsites. On the other hand, the entertainment team gave EVERYTHING. It didn't matter how many children were there, the program was offered. As there were a lot of Germans there, they made a real effort to speak German and were very responsive to the children. We had a different experience at another campsite in Holland during the Easter vacations. The proximity to Hardenberg is also nice. You can reach the town center quickly by bike. On the whole, de Zandstuve is perhaps not the best in the area in terms of facilities (with the exception of the new wash house), but it is definitely highly recommended. Also because of the entertainment.Tradus automat.
- Julia R.October 2017PlusuriIndoor playground, indoor swimming poolMinusurinone foundVery nice campsiteWe were on the pitch during the 2017 fall vacations. The arrival was a bit bumpy because we had reserved a pitch in advance and we were not told that we would be standing alone on this field and that the sanitary building there was not open. So we had to choose a place at the new sanitary building in... Buer. Unfortunately, as it had been raining all day, we couldn't move our caravan from the pitch. However, the friendly lady at reception promptly sent a colleague to pull us out with a tractor. Pure adventure for everyone. Once we arrived at the new sanitary building, everything went smoothly. As the pitches had already been prepared for the winter, i.e. new grass had been sown, we were asked to park a little further forward, which was no problem given the ample space available. The campsite is divided into several fields and there are various playgrounds in the middle, really very nicely done. There was an average of 12 caravans on the site during our vacation. The supermarket on the campsite was closed, but there were plenty of shops in the surrounding area. However, you could buy ice cream and chips on the site. Despite the low occupancy, an entertainment program was still offered, great! The indoor playground is very nice and the indoor swimming pool with the super slide is also great. We would visit the campsite again, the price-performance ratio is good here. The Buer sanitary building is new and an absolute highlight, we could only see the other sanitary buildings from the outside, they are very old! However, the site and the sanitary facilities were very clean during our stay and the staff were very friendly!Tradus automat.
- Dirk N.October 2017PlusuriSuper great animation team! Well-kept place, great indoor playground.MinusuriPersonally, I found the flushing hose for chemical disposal in the new sanitary building far too short. But I'm complaining at a very high level hereWeekend on "German Unity Day"We were there from 29.9.-03.10. The pitch was big enough, but unfortunately already prepared for the winter (scarified, fresh grass sown). We were on Bella 30, right next to the new wash house. It really has become a feast for the eyes. Huge family showers, separate children's wash area. TOP. The staff... were courteous and friendly throughout. They obviously enjoy what they do. The only small drawback is the language barrier. But it didn't bother us as we speak a few words of Dutch. Unfortunately there wasn't really much going on, apart from us there were about 7-8 other families, mostly German. Unfortunately, the supermarket and the large family restaurant were closed, understandably... But if you think that everything else has been reduced to low season, then you are very much mistaken. Swimming pool (inside) open from morning to evening, the children's entertainment gives everything. In the evening the story is read aloud even if there is only one child. Every day several events for children (handicrafts, laser games, musical, theater etc. etc.) Absolute dedication and top class! We are thrilled and will definitely be back...Tradus automat.
- Andreas H.August 2017PlusuriClean, children's paradise.MinusuriDutch language only - no German or English.Nice, clean children's campsiteWe are at 'de Zandstuve' from 05.08. - 12.08. A beautiful, clean and friendly campsite. There is so much on offer here, especially for the children. The little ones are entertained all day long. Nice new wash house, everywhere the possibility to wash and spin out something. Unfortunately, only Dutch... is spoken - virtually no English and no German. The public also consists almost exclusively of Dutch people. Although the campsite is packed (summer vacation), nothing is overcrowded or has long waiting times.Tradus automat.
