Gregor K.August 2024PlusuriGood sanitary facilities, bread roll service, sufficiently large pitchesMinusuriYou can't open the windows in the toilets and showers.Space with a good price/performance ratioChecking in is so uncomplicated! You simply drive up to the lockers and they open automatically. You look for a suitable parking space and fill in the registration form. After 3 p.m., the owner collects the registration forms, and after a short time she brings you the tickets for the sanitary block.... What a service. You have until 5.30 p.m. to put the bread roll order form in the designated letterbox. The rolls are then placed on a shelf near the entrance in the morning. Unfortunately, the rolls are not as crispy when the humidity is high.
The gray water disposal and fresh water supply are located behind the barrier. P
From the pitch you can quickly reach the spa gardens and the town. Soest, with its beautiful old town, is also only 5 km away, which is no problem by bike.
Checking out is just as uncomplicated as checking in. You have to check out by 11.00 am. After that you can stay on the pitch until 5 p.m. if it is not reserved. You put the tickets for the sanitary facilities in the designated letterbox on departure.

very clean. I... couldn't order bread rolls at the moment
because of Corona.
Gas bottle exchange was cheaper on the pitch
than in the hardware store.
The pitches were partly gravelled.
Also parceled out by small hedges.
Electricity consumption was metered.
I didn't need the car at all.
You could walk through the spa gardens to the town or
also to the thermal baths. This is recommended.
The town is quite nice in places.
A few restaurants were open.

Registration was quick and we were able to move into our reserved pitch quickly. The individual plots are large enough and separated by 50 to 60 cm high hedges. Unfortunately, the ground is only sparsely covered with grass, i.e. mainly gravel.
The sanitary facilities are fairly new and were always pleasantly clean. The shower rooms are spacious.

Positive: You can choose your pitch yourself (office hours only until 11:00 am) and then fill out a registration form on display; payment is made by 11:00 am on the day of departure - ideal procedure in Corona times. Electricity is charged moderately according to consumption (€0.50/kwh),... but I did not use it.
The proximity to the spa clinics is favorable - this also seems to be the main purpose of the reasonably laid out site, but there are also permanent campers there.
The site is quiet unless the heaviest agricultural machinery is thundering along 15m away at harvest time (as farming depends on the weather, including at night of course).
I can't comment on the sanitary facilities as I didn't use them (self-sufficient caravan with waste water tank and own power supply)
Negative: The manager, who turned up at 5pm during the registration process (see above), made it clear that a "personal fee for the use of the sanitary facilities" of €4/person/overnight stay was payable, regardless of actual use. I expressly refused to be given a sanitary key for the reasons mentioned above - and not just because I am so poor: I like to use my OWN beds, toilets and showers.
During my stay, I studied the price list on the website; in fact, it literally states:
"Person/night (with use of sanitary facilities)** = €4.--", the asterisks are explained below: ** Self-sufficient motorhomes have the option of not using the sanitary facilities. In this case, you will not receive a key for the sanitary building and the personal fee will not apply. For motorhomes without the use of sanitary facilities, the pitch then costs €10.00 per night plus electricity according to consumption and the municipality's visitor's tax.
A pitch for motorhomes therefore costs €10 per person, for caravans €14 per person, e.g. for 3 people: €10 for motorhomes, €22 for caravans per night!!!

Jürgen Gechter G.May 2018Plusuri- Very clean, new sanitary building - Quiet and well-kept - Unbureaucratic registration - Friendly ownersMinusuri- Showers and sinks on the 1st floor via stairsThe somewhat different placeA little irritated by the reviews, but due to a necessity we drove to this place, and ... were thrilled. Admittedly, it takes a bit of getting used to and you first have to ask at the information board how it works. But then everything is really easy. You put your registration in a letterbox, as well... as your bread roll request. The access cards for the sanitary facilities are then brought to you. You never actually see anyone in charge, except on departure. The site is clearly laid out in 4 rows. The pitches are big enough for large motorhomes and caravans with cars. You can drive on the site from 7 a.m. to midnight and, thanks to the written registration, you are not tied to reception times. If it gets crowded, there is an alternative meadow available - with electricity, of course. The site is clean and well-kept. We didn't notice anything of the alleged railroad line, not even during the day. The passing road is rarely used and it is absolutely quiet in the back row. The site is intended for campers who want peace and quiet and want to visit Bad Sassendorf and Soest. A guest card for many discounts in these two towns is included in the price. Campers who want entertainment, a daily personal welcome and leisure activities are more likely to miss out. It's not a paradise for children either. The sanitary facilities are the highlight. Brand new, extremely clean, everything available, generously sized. The only small disadvantage is that you have to go to the second floor to shower and wash up. However, disabled toilets and showers are also available on the first floor. You can only get into the building with the above-mentioned access card. Apart from the bread roll service and a mini-market at reception, there is no catering. Unfortunately there is no restaurant, but a few hundred meters in the village there is everything your heart desires. We were very satisfied and would come again. A word about the different prices: Motorhomes that are self-sufficient, i.e. whose owners do not need a toilet or shower from the site, pay less than caravans and camper vans. So it is by no means the case that caravan drivers are at a disadvantage, because the price is the usual price for a pitch. Only the self-sufficient camper van drivers get a cheaper pitch if they do without the use of the sanitary facilities. That's ok. It's a shame that social envy is coming to the fore like this. Overall, we were satisfied until we realized when paying the bill that we were being asked to pay for services for which motorhome visitors are not charged. My comment in this regard was dismissed with the remark that otherwise the cost calculation would not work out. To prevent this example from setting a precedent, I will avoid this site in future.Tradus automat.

On arrival we were able to choose a pitch and then get access cards to the sanitary block. The office is staffed from 8 - 11:00 am. But that's enough. The access to the pitches is good and clear. The sanitary block... is clean and tidy. It is a pity that the showers are on the upper floor and there is no washbasin in the cabins. There is also no toilet on the upper floor. The cleaning cloths in the washrooms for cleaning the washing areas are a good idea. The pitches are very easy to access and large. The campsite was very busy on the Whitsun weekend, so we only just managed to get a pitch. The campsite operators are very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, the pitches were too narrow for caravans, as you can only park the car crosswise... in front of it if you want to pull out the awning, but they were very deep, gravelled and super level....(no annoying maneuvering until you are standing straight) The only thing wrong with this place is that there was fresh water/drinking water only at the entrance in the sanitary building or at the mobile disposal for cash... for Wowa in the rear pitch area a long way...nevertheless... Operator always nice and helpful! If you are looking for peace and seclusion despite the narrowness of the pitches, this is the place for you. What should also be noted is the crowd... on this site. At times we had the feeling that we were staying in a retirement home for campers. There was no upper limit to the size of the motorhomes! Motorhomes with trailers containing wheelchairs, walking frames and other equipment were not uncommon. Motorhome drivers who have probably been on the road for 70 years and can only hold themselves upright with 2 crutches are also not uncommon. But we all get older. After this stay, my wife ordered me to take away my driving license in good time!Tradus automat.
