Very comfortable and clean sanitary facilities, very well-kept pitches and paths. The canoe rental on the Schwentine belongs to the campsite, we went on a very nice canoe trip to the... Rosensee. The Kirchsee itself (part of the Schwentine) is very close to nature, perfect for canoeing but not very attractive for swimming. The nearest restaurants in Preetz can be reached on foot along the lake in 15 minutes.Tradus automat.

What I liked best was the feeling of being welcome.MinusuriThere's really nothing to complain about on the pitch. The access road is quite narrow, which is well compensated for by strict arrival and departure timesThe perfect campsiteWe were guests for a week with our Camplet tent trailer. Despite our rather late arrival, we received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home. Unfortunately, it was too wet and above all too cold to paddle, but this made it obvious how well laid out and maintained the pitches are. There was... no water anywhere on the pitches, even in heavy rain, and you could get to the tent with clean shoes. We know this differently, because operators often don't put that much effort into maintenance and design. On two days we had a visit from our grandchildren, aged two and four. We were able to experience how child-friendly the campsite is. There is no large, dangerous road nearby and the size of the site makes it easy for children to navigate. There is even a children's toilet, spotlessly clean like all the facilities. A large public playground is a three-minute walk away. We also saw children's vests for paddling, but it was too cold for us with temperatures just above freezing. Although dogs are allowed, you won't find their droppings anywhere. There is a really good dog run on the opposite bank. The way there is a beautiful walk of just under 1 km, which leads over the Wehrberg bridge.
The town center of Preetz is just as dense, always along the Kirchsee shore, where there is a fairly large weekly market with many regional products on two days. The small town even has a movie theater.
It wasn't the first time we've camped here and it won't be the last. Maybe the children will even stay overnight! - Nicole E.September 2022PlusuriClose to the city, 20 minutes to the Baltic Sea, small and cozy, top sanitary facilitiesMinusuriNONERepeat offenders and we will be back!!!We are repeat offenders and always enjoy coming back to the Laas family and their daughter Nicole Ehm, who will be taking over the business. The site is small, family-run, laid out like a park and it's just a 10-minute walk to the center of the cobbler town of Preetz. There is a weekly market on Wednesdays... and Saturdays. The train takes you from Preetz station to Kiel in about 20 minutes and you can explore everything there. Great cycling routes, even Plön is not far away by bike. As we ride e-bikes, we even cycled around the Großer Plöner See lake from Preetz. A dream! We cycled to the Baltic Sea via the villages in about 1 hour, had an ice cream and fish sandwiches for refreshment and then ended the day in the Bootshaus restaurant right next to the campsite. What more could you want? We also took our dog with us and he even received a small gift from the owners.Tradus automat.

Our pitch was idyllically situated in the countryside, very well maintained and we were able to relax straight away.
Electricity, water, waste water and showers are included in the price, so we... didn't have to worry about anything.
The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean.
We would come here again at any time and can only recommend this lovingly run family business.

It's easy to arrive and immediately feel at home here. Nice operator family, where everyone does everything (registration, site maintenance, boat rental, return service of the boats, help if you need help and... the technology sometimes spins) we have already had everything and were always supported with words and deeds. A little attention for people and animals at registration, which made us very happy. We like to cycle and are always delighted with the great surroundings. We also enjoyed exploring the water by boat, which is a really good change of pace. We have nothing negative and will definitely be back!Tradus automat.

Canoe rental right next to the campsite. The town center with plenty of shops is easily accessible by bike and on foot. Also the train station, from where the surrounding towns are easy to visit.
Small restaurant with a small menu. Good price-performance ratio....
You can also take your food to the pitch and return the dirty plates.
SAT reception was not possible on our pitch.
Nice, clean sanitary building. A second building near the restaurant.
Conclusion: Anyone who would like to visit a well-kept site, surrounded by nature and could do without the TV from time to time, will feel at home here.
Those interested in entertainment and parties will not have any fun here. The modern sanitary block offers individual wash and shower cubicles where privacy is really available. We didn't have to queue or wait long one morning. The campsite is divided into sufficiently large plots by lots... of hedges and shrubs and the site is really nice and green overall with lots of trees etc. For children, the play and climbing tower with swings offers plenty of opportunities to run around and the site is well laid out. Bread roll service and friendly, helpful staff round off the impression. It quickly feels personal and familiar. We always like to come back!Tradus automat.
- Mathias U.July 2021PlusuriThe biggest advantage is that the operators always try to find a solution. A very small site with very few permanent pitches, almost only pitches for campers. The site is wonderfully laid out with plenty of shade but also enough sun, the perfect mix. For such a small site, there is an excellent infrastructure with a bread roll service, a small mini restaurant run by the site and a very extensive boat hire service. There is even a disposal station for the chemical toilet where you can get the cassette completely cleaned again for a small fee.MinusuriThere is relatively little on offer for small children. Nevertheless, there is a small playground with swings and a slide. If you go back a bit along the rather narrow access road, there is a large playground in the residential area.what is missing?I think five stars is absolutely appropriate for the size of the site. Everything is very clean and tidy and is maintained and managed with great enthusiasm by the operators. The damage done by the operators is a bit Nordic, but they made everything possible for us even though we had quite a booking... hiccup and had to change pitches again. All this in the high season when you don't really have to worry about supplies. Even in the small restaurant not all seats were available due to Corona, we were able to take the food to the pitch on reasonable plates. A big compliment and a big thank you at this point. I don't normally write a review, but the positive impression of this pitch made me decide to do so.Tradus automat.

The site is in a quiet location and you can also find peace and quiet here.
The pitches are large and well laid out.
The sanitary facilities are cleaned properly... every day and are quite new and nice. They are virtually small, complete bathrooms with WC. I think that's really great!
The attached boat rental is also very nice and helpful, which was great for us canoe novices.
With our own stand up paddle board we were quickly on the water as there are plenty of places where you can get to the water. (Right next to the boathouse)
The pick up service for canoe and crew is great so you can only paddle in one direction if you like.
The restaurant, "Bootshaus" has good food and is a good place to go if you are hungry or thirsty.

We stayed here for a week, paddling, cycling and going for walks were a great way to switch off from everyday life. The family business owns the campsite, the canoe center and the restaurant. You can see the attention to detail in many of the little things.... The bread rolls come from an excellent (in the truest sense of the word) baker, the restaurant kitchen places great emphasis on quality, the sanitary facilities are up to date and very tidy. What you should know: the (chemical) toilet cleaning is exclusively biological (chemicals are prohibited) via a "butler". Currently costs 2 euros/per cleaning. We approve of this, but you should be aware of it. We will recommend this place to others and if the opportunity arises, we will gladly come back ourselves.Tradus automat.
