Actually just the peace and quiet

For two adults with dog in low season almost 50€ for nothing. No WLan on site, restaurant rarely open and very expensive, sanitary facilities are clean, new, standard not modern, only cold water in the sink, pitches on meadows, muddy when damp, unlit paths at night, sauna not usable
Beautiful but too expensive
For people to hike, beautiful, good air and quiet.
Disastrous approach to the site. In the restaurant next door cheapest food from 22€.
What I loved was the café on site with its always fresh and varied cakes and pastries.
Many of the advertised themes such as spa on the square etc. not there or available....
No shopping facilities within walking distance.

Overall, you should consider whether you want that for the price. The advertised 31€ is not correct, but only for a single person on a small pitch.

The campsite was a tip from a friend and we were not disappointed. Well-kept facility, of course there is still something to do here and there, but considering that the previous owner did nothing for years, there has been a lot of work on maintenance and renovation. This could also be seen in a television report on SWR. You can watch it on YouTube - just enter the name of the campsite and watch. Of course, the sanitary facilities are outdated but spotlessly clean. Very nice and courteous operator couple. Very good café with gluten-free cakes. They baked a special cake for my husband because he is gluten intolerant. Where else can you find such spontaneous and courteous service. We've never had anything like it. And it was so delicious. The restaurant is also mega. Top cuisine and really reasonably priced. Great seats, even the terrace seats are simply idyllic. One thing is clear: we'll be back.

And nothing comes to mind. If we didn't know what the place was like before, we would probably write about the sanitary facilities here. But knowing how much money the renovation cost, which the couple didn't expect, it would be totally out of place to complain here.
Short trip to a beautifully situated campsite in the countryside
Have actually mentioned everything in the advantages. Campsite highly recommended for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers. Here the guest is still king

A dream in the countryside
This campsite is in a wonderfully quiet location. It has everything you need. The staff are mainly members of the owner's family and are extremely friendly and helpful.
The site was taken over from the previous owner who fell ill in 2021 and still has some construction sites, but these do not disturb... the operation. The sanitary facilities could also be modernized, but are spotlessly clean.
If the sun has been shining on the lake long enough, you can also swim in it.
The access road urgently needs to be renewed by the municipality. It is very narrow with passing bays and has a completely potholed surface.
There is an unreserved recommendation for this site

Beautiful campsite
Everything was perfect Pitch spacious with electricity water on site. Sanitary building partly brand new and super clean. Small shop for daily needs, a coffee shop with delicious cakes, a country inn food highly recommended. And everyone there is very friendly and courteous. There is still a lot of work to modernize the place will certainly be great when everything is ready. From us a very clear recommendation for the place we like to come back!

Campsite in transition
You can tell that things are changing here. A breath of fresh air has been blowing here since the new young operating couple took over in 2021. Reception with Waldcafé and Vinothek have been renovated and modernized. The new country inn has great cuisine, reservations strongly recommended. Unfortunately,... the Waldcafé and restaurant are only open at weekends.

The groundsman personally accompanies every guest to the beautiful large pitches, and everyone is very courteous and friendly.

The wash houses are very clean and functional, but a bit outdated. According to the operator, this issue will be addressed soon. The dishwashing and laundry room is well equipped with spacious sinks and a dishwasher. There are also several washing machines and dryers.

For children there are two smaller playgrounds, a large trampoline and go-karts for hire.

There are also several rental accommodations, from chalets to small wooden huts.

A bathing beach/lawn by the lake is planned for the near future, as well as pitches with a sauna and/or hot tub.

It was the perfect destination for a short trip for us with only a 40-minute journey, and we are already looking forward to seeing what's new on our next visit.

The path to the washrooms from the terrace seats is quite adventurous in the dark because it is unlit It's a shame (although understandable) that the restaurant is not open during the week WLAN is only available around reception
A hiking dream
Contrary to Uwe's comment, I didn't find it at all difficult to hike around the site: There is an easy-to-understand trail map right at the entrance, and the trails in the forest are generally well marked.
The food on offer is delicious, both for those with a sweet tooth and for the "savory" ones. During... the week, however, you need to be proactive. Perhaps you could point out what is on offer in the surrounding villages if they are open during the week? This also applies to other shopping opportunities (e.g. for various local specialties?)
The well-stocked bakery cart is unfortunately only on site for a very short time, so late risers will have to hurry.
I was easily able to compensate for the lack of Wi-Fi with the books on offer in the "book cell".
Reading instead of surfing....
I personally found the shower cubicles lacking a (dry) shelf for my washing utensils. Apart from that, I found the sanitary facilities and the washroom appealing and functional.
The path to the terrace pitches is very adventurous in the dark and would need lighting. Luckily there was no new moon!
For me, this place is a good "discovery" - even for more often!

Wonderful location, lots of shady spots, very friendly operators, cleanliness, sensational food (reserve in advance), bread roll service, great importance is attached to sustainability and environmental awareness.

The narrow road to the campsite is in a desolate state and should be urgently improved. However, this is not the responsibility of the campsite operator. (public road). No hiking/cycling route description. Without Google Maps or comparable hiking apps, you are hopelessly lost in the forest area.
Dreamlike
If you (your car, caravan or motorhome) have survived the access road to the campsite without any damage, nothing stands in the way of a wonderful stay.
The operators and staff are very friendly.
The food at the Landgashof is outstanding. We have rarely eaten so well. You can tell the quality of the regional products.
We will definitely be back.

An absolutely idyllic campsite, which was taken over by a new owner in August. Very friendly and courteous team around the young owner couple. We were given a very friendly welcome, as if we had known them forever. We were then taken to our pitch by golf cart. It used to be a permanent pitch, but that didn't bother us. Unfortunately, you can see that the site had probably not seen any renovation or major maintenance until the new operators took over, which is now gradually being carried out. There are several sanitary buildings/rooms, unfortunately not all of them have been renovated (yet). The building we used had the charm of the bathrooms of an old youth hostel :-) which was not a disadvantage for us. It was cleaned several times a day, even if there is still a little room for improvement, but they are already working hard on that. It is also possible to order bread rolls for breakfast in the morning, some of which can be picked up warm at reception. Furthermore, there is currently (still!) a very small restaurant, which is to be supplemented by a kind of country inn (currently still under renovation). Currently a very small menu, prices reasonable, quality of food very good, even a greeting from the kitchen is served before the meal. Home-baked cakes are also on offer. All in all, I can recommend it if you don't have high expectations, these young operators are working hard, with commitment and love to make the 80,000 square meter site a beautiful place. I spoke to the operator about the "little things" that I didn't like, she took a lot of time and took everything on board, even though the campsite was full and therefore very busy. We will definitely be back and look forward to the next time.

Great place with potential
Great place with a very nice team. The site was only recently taken over by the current operators. They are busy modernizing the site. If all the ideas are implemented, e.g. private bathrooms, this will be a top site with a very beautiful location on the lake. The surrounding area offers beautiful hiking... trails and there is also a lot on offer in terms of gastronomy. The sanitary facilities are currently old but very clean.
The pitches are very large, you don't sit on top of each other.
I will definitely be back.
