Very friendly operators who take very good care of their guests.MinusuriIf you are looking for absolute silence, you may feel disturbed by the adjacent road.Beautiful small campsite by the lakeWe (two adults, one 6-year-old child) enjoyed our time VERY much!
The view of the lake, the opportunity to make a campfire in the evening, the very friendly operators, the great mini golf course, the boat rental, the delicious pastries and the peaceful atmosphere all helped to make the vacation a complete... success.
There is also plenty to experience away from the campsite: Visits to various glassblowing workshops, trips to moose parks, great bike rides through the woods, etc.
The adjacent road is audible, but not particularly disturbing.
The sanitary facilities are clean and functional, even if they are a bit old. Use is free for campers (no additional shower chips or similar required).
If you like, you can order bread rolls for breakfast the day before or buy delicious sweet pastries during the day.
The boat rental offers canoes, rowing boats and SUPs by the hour or day at reasonable prices.
The pitches are spacious, so we had plenty of room to set up a table and chairs outside the awning with our caravan and large awning and enjoy breakfast with a view of the lake.

The campsite is a manageable size and in some areas is reminiscent of nature campsites in much more northerly parts of the country.
Pleasant atmosphere, you immediately feel at home even as a solo camper. The campsite is located on a large lake and of course has a bathing area with a jetty and a very good mini-golf course on the campsite itself.
In the surrounding area you can go hiking, cycling, fishing or explore the lake by canoe. There is a small store... in the village. The nearest larger town is Nybro, where you can get everything you need.
I also recommend the Belgian waffles on the campsite.

As the owners are from Germany, there were no communication problems. Great campfire. Children make friends quickly, the site is easy to navigate. Many small and large excursion destinations in the area, for which we also received tips from Romy.MinusuriThe showers could be more modern. I didn't mind, but it's a bit difficult with children if the water temperature is difficult to adjust. However, everything was clean.Summer vacation 2021 for 8 nightsWe had chosen this place because of its location and were not disappointed. We felt very relaxed after just 3 days. You can spend most of your vacation on the campsite if you just want to enjoy the peace and quiet and the lake, but there are also lots of excursion options.Tradus automat.

We were right by the lake, which is of course the first choice. The pitch was hardly occupied and there was plenty of space. The sanitary facilities were ok and clean.
Then a so-called "cuddle camper" arrived who said we absolutely had to take part in his family... life. At our request, he asked us to stand as it is generally customary, as there was plenty of space, he called the groundsman who was of the opinion that we simply had to accept this.
He didn't know the customs of mutual respect. It was probably about renting out the pitch in any case.

In the situation you have described, mutual respect starts with respecting the so-called "camping rules" that are customary in the country. Whether a motorhome is positioned forwards or backwards on its pitch does not matter, at least here in the country (and in many others), as long... as sufficient space is left to the neighbor.
Our pitches at the edge of the lake are a good 8m wide.... they stood with their vehicle backwards on the right-hand boundary of the right-hand pitch... the guest they described as a "cuddly camper" chose the pitch to the left of them and parked his vehicle on his left-hand boundary.... There was about 11-12m of space between the vehicles.
They even rejected his offer to move one space further to the left, even though there would then have been almost 20 meters of free space between their vehicles, on the grounds that they wouldn't let them look at their plates..... The guest should follow an old camper law and park his vehicle backwards.
We regret that we did not meet their requirements for "properly regulated site regulations" and wish them better luck in the future when choosing their vacation destination.Tradus automat. - Heiko B.June 2020PlusuriLovingly maintained by friendly German-speaking operators. One evening they even fired up the sauna for us and provided a small wooden hut for 2 rainy days. There is a lot of greenery around the campsite and in the evening you can hardly hear anything from the highway! We would love to come back to experience many beautiful sunsets and can warmly recommend the campsite!Tradus automat.

There are two very nice moose parks nearby. In the middle of the glass kingdom you also have the opportunity to buy beautiful souvenirs. If you want to relax with waffles by the lake, go fishing... or pick mushrooms and berries, you should definitely try this place out. We were lucky and got a pitch right by the lake. Please note: you have to stand "lengthways", but this is an insurance requirement and is often the case. So you can't sit under the awning and look out over the lake. The operator is nice, but... I've never experienced it any other way in Sweden. So far, everything is wonderful. We found the pitches very cramped, we've been vacationing in Scandinavia for 25 years, but we've never had neighbors so close. It wasn't so nice because you involuntarily watch each other all the time. We found the noise from the road very annoying. It is very busy and very close. What we didn't like at all was the kitchen. We found it poorly equipped and dingy. Otherwise, we like to cook in the central kitchen areas on vacation, where you can chat with other campers, find out news and get good tips. Here we didn't. The toilets and showers were also dingy. We don't mind old buildings, but please keep them clean. There was dirt in the corners, on the pipes and it was really unpleasant to have to clean up with a squeegee after showering. There is mini golf and a boules court. Apart from the adjacent road, it was very quiet. The road didn't bother me personally. You could order bread rolls in advance. What I didn't like so much was the shower.... Shower curtains are not my thing. There were two showers per gender. One shower was lockable with a small anteroom, as usual. The other only had a shower curtain. When you had finished showering, you were practically standing directly in the anteroom. That was definitely not enough privacy for me. Thank goodness the other shower was always free. But it was clean. I would have liked a bit more cleanliness when washing up. Old splashes were not removed from the walls. The draining grids were totally filthy. There was an old garbage can next to it. Overall, however, we still felt comfortable.Tradus automat.

We've just seen that we haven't left a review yet! We've been coming to you for years and have never rated it! Well, the repeat rate should speak for itself! The site is on a busy road, but that has never bothered us before. If you want absolute peace and quiet, you should probably... try your luck 800 kilometers further north, but you'll miss out on other amenities, such as the accessibility of many great destinations in the Orrefors area! Regarding the cleanliness of the kitchen area, I would just like to say: Dear complainers, you're messing this up yourselves! If you cook or wash up, you should just clean up your mess and it's fine for the next person - simple, isn't it? You can't expect the operator to stand behind you with a rag and clean up after you!
