"Great campsite close to the city - Checking in was a bit chaotic. We were allocated a seat and when we wanted to move into it, it was already occupied. So we went back to reception and were allocated a new place. In the afternoon, a couple came to us and explained that our place had been allocated to them. Long story short, as there was no other pitch available, the couple joined us on our pitch for one night and moved into their own pitch the next day. After this confusion, we really liked it. The wash house is cleaned several times a day and there are plenty of showers available. The staff are friendly and very eager to help. We didn't use the pool, but it was very busy. As the hospital is nearby, the rather loud ambulances can be heard all day (and all night). The bus stop directly in front of the complex is great, from where you can easily get to the metro and then into the city

"Good for a visit to Rome - Good base for visiting Rome and staying for several days. We rode our motorcycle to St. Peter's Basilica in about 20 minutes. Buses leave from in front of the site. The sanitary facilities could be better maintained. For example, some taps were broken and had not been repaired within a week. In addition, some of the clothes hooks in the showers were torn off or the door lock was defective and had also not been repaired within a week. The grounds are laid out with lots of greenery and this is regularly cut (often from 8:00 in the morning). The staff are friendly and provide information. The store on site is well stocked.

"Camping in Town - The campsite, consisting mainly of fixed bungalows/mobile homes, is close to the city center and very well connected by public transport to all the sights in Rome. Breakfast/dinner is offered on site, as well as information on excursion destinations, tours and maps for public transport. There is also a pool with adjoining bar. On the other side of the street there is a large grocery store and fast food restaurants. The noise level is okay. You are in a big city, with an adjacent hospital on a main road to Rome. The pitches are large enough to set up a trolley and table/chairs. Power supply further away in places. Fresh water supply and waste water disposal not available at the pitches. There is a sanitary building on the site, but only the ladies' section is open. Containers with WC (5) and separate shower (6) are available for men. The men's sanitary building is closed off, there were no signs of building work/renovations and the temporary toilets have been there for some time. The cleanliness, but mainly the container solution, is below service area level. Extremely small, with no storage or hanging facilities in the showers. I can no longer recommend this site for male campers who are dependent on the sanitary facilities. As soon as the possible renovations are completed, this site will actually be perfect for exploring Rome.

"Ideal campsite to explore Rome - We stayed at the campsite for 5 days with our caravan to explore Rome. This campsite is ideal for this as you can be in the Vatican in 20 minutes by bus or bike. The campsite is well maintained and clean and has a nice pool which is open from 10am to 6pm. There is also a large supermarket opposite and a restaurant on the campsite. Free and fast WLAN is available throughout the campsite. The only thing that was a bit annoying at night was the noise from the nearby roads.

"Good for culture and sightseeing - Good campsite for exploring Rome. Bus stops in front of the CP. Large store opposite. Tickets for the bus can also be purchased at the campsite.

"CP ideal for visiting ROM. - May 2019: Reservation worked out. Restaurant on site has unfortunately lost a lot of quality compared to 2017: food below average; in nearby steakhouse you eat much better!!! Shuttle bus: unfortunately you can't rely on the information provided by the lady at the information desk in the morning regarding the return times, the nice lady also gives these times in writing, but if you are unlucky, you have to wait up to 1.5 hours for the shuttle bus....! The sanitary facilities are very clean; -------- May 2017: Ideal place to explore Rome. The staff are all very friendly. Everything is clean and well maintained. The pitches for campers range from small to large, with/without shade. The shuttle bus, which runs several times a day (from 08:00 every hour) for € 3.00 (there/back) directly at the campsite in the direction of the Vatican (CIPRO stadium), is very practical. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day, but the many youth groups (staying in the chalets/bungalows) sometimes leave their traces behind.... and have loud parties until the early morning! You can't ignore the street noise of Via Aurelia - but you are in the middle of Rome. Restaurant on site has very good dishes and reasonable prices. Spent 6 nights on this campsite.

Only a few kilometres from our accommodation hu Roma camping in town lies the Eternal City of Rome, capital of Italy and epitome of the Dolce Vita. A jump to the magnificent buildings of antiquity is possible from us at …any time! Every corner of this city holds works of art and monuments of unique beauty. But Rome also offers entertainment, tradition and delicious food! Here you have the opportunity to experience the spectacle and colourful hustle and bustle of the Eternal City up close, but to spend the night in a relaxing oasis of peace at the gates of Rome. Camping in Town Hu Roma Camping in Town is a large campsite - mainly with rental accommodation. There are a variety of mobile homes to rent, from basic facilities to luxurious designs. The pitches range in size from 35 to 90 m² and are located in the front part of the site. The campsite's sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. There are also sanitary facilities for people with reduced mobility. Rione Restaurant and Bar Our restaurant is the ideal place for your breakfast, an aperitif in the evening or one or the other regional Roman or Italian dish for dinner. Pool bar To cool down between two dives! Supermarket At the campsite you will also find a brand new market stocked daily with fresh produce and groceries, toiletries, sun cream and freshly baked bread! You are sure to find what you need. Semi-Olympic Pool (Open from May to October) Our 250 m² pool with a depth of 120 cm is the ideal place for diving, swimming, playing ball and sports with friends. Whirlpools (Open from May to October) Use our two whirlpools to relax together with your friends and, why not, make new acquaintances! Basketball/football court There is always time for a game of basketball or football among friends! Outside the campsite's quiet hours, you can always venture out for a game. Balls are available at the reception. Billiards During the restaurant's opening hours, you can enjoy a delicious beer and play a game of billiards! To play, please contact the restaurant. Playground In our playground, the children can let off steam at any time while you relax.

We are in Rome... ...just a stone's throw from Piazza San Pietro and the Vatican. G.R.A. (Rome bypass) exit 'Aurelia' Roma Centro (white sign). Immediately before pedestrian overpass, enter side street, campsite on the right after approx. 50m. Well signposted.
