- Lilian F.June 2024PlusuriPrivate bathroom is old but somehow a good idea.MinusuriI can't find any at the moment, except that there is no village within walking distance.Very niceVery nice staff one is separated with green trees that gives private ferry.Tradus automat.
- Burghard F.June 2019It couldn't be cleanerThe friendliness of the ladies at the reception, the small store with its own wine and olive oil and the possibility to buy bread, ice cream, fish, meat and vegetables from traveling vendors makes this place in Punta Bracetto without services such as sunbeds etc., but clean.Tradus automat.
- Torsten K.September 2018PlusuriLots of peace and quiet Own WC beautiful, uncrowded beachBeautiful place at the end of the worldWe were looking for peace and quiet, which we found here. There wasn't much to do around the campsite. A beautiful beach and a small village with a simple bar and pizzeria at unbeatable prices. We'd love to come back.Tradus automat.
- Stephan B.September 2018Plusurigreat location good beach Delivery service at the campsiteMinusuriexpensive no restaurant loudBeautiful, expensive, loudThe location is great, the beach is great, but no restaurant, no market, not even a café. The delivery service on the campsite is of course cool, bread rolls every morning directly in front of the caravan, that's something. and having your own toilets is also a good idea. But overall it's expensive and the campsite itself is quiet. But what's the point if the disco from the neighboring Coralli campsite bangs on until 1 a.m. every night?Tradus automat.
- Roland C.May 2018PlusuriQuiet, beautiful sandy beachMinusuriSomewhat remote, small pitchesWell-kept and with a beautiful beachWe came to the campsite to relax for 2 days after a 2-week tour of Sicily. The Scarabeo campsite is very suitable for this. The campsite and the beach are well maintained and pleasantly quiet. The operators offer many extras such as the possibility to rent a car by the hour or a pizza delivery service.... In addition, a baker comes by daily and on some days there are sellers of fruit, fish, meat or ice cream. The Maximarkt listed on the information letter from the CP is not recommended and the stores in Punta Secca are still closed in May or no longer exist. The nearest larger stores are Despar and Superconad in Santa Croce Camerina, 6 km awayTradus automat.
- Jörg T.September 2017Plusurifriendly staff, well-kept, lots of shadeMinusurionly hard courts, no snack bar, hot water in shower only with token, loud sprinkler system at nightwell-kept campsite, no snack bar, hardly suitable for guests with tentsThe campsite is well maintained and the staff are friendly. It's right by the sea. But that's it for the advantages. The campsite is hardly suitable for guests with tents as there is not a single grass pitch. In addition, the sprinkler system comes on at night, so you are woken from your sleep in your... tent. There is no snack bar. Nor is there one within walking distance; you have to drive about 4 to 5 km to a restaurant. Each pitch has its own toilet, but you have to bring your own toilet paper. Hot water in the shower is only available with an extra jeton. Why are these bad habits finally coming to an end?Tradus automat.
- Patrick S.September 2017PlusuriGreat pitches, well-kept sanitary facilities, private toilet, great beach, nicely laid out, nice staff, not too bigMinusuriA little off the beaten trackIt couldn't get any better in SicilyThe site has been laid out with great attention to detail. The garden landscape surrounding the plots is not only immaculately maintained, but also just as rich in species. Here you will find all kinds of colorful flowers and can also watch bananas grow. The pitches are sufficiently large and level.... The sanitary facilities are in excellent condition and the private toilet is great. This should be available much more often. The beach is fine sandy, clean and big enough. The bread seller comes to the campsite every day and every day there is a different local trader who brings his wares. We liked it, also because the nearest supermarket is a bit far away. Unfortunately, there is also a lack of restaurants in the area, which is completely incomprehensible as one campsite follows another on this stretch of coast. For me, this is completely incomprehensible, even if it is not the campsite's fault. To relax for a while and preferably in the low season with Rabat, this is an absolute top place. Price-performance winner!Tradus automat.
- Friedhelm J.June 2017PlusuriBeach location, friendly staff, each pitch has its own toilet.Minusuri-,-Ideal beach location in the south of SicilyVery friendly operators, German is spoken. Daily mobile bread service and ice cream, several times a week mobile vendors for fruit/vegetables, meat and fish - all of good and fresh quality. Small supermarket within walking distance - German is also spoken here. To the right and left of the Scarabeo are... two other campsites with the same facilities. Excursions to the surrounding area are possible. The area is characterized by greenhouses, which is not "charming" at first. However, there is a quiet bay with a perfect sandy beach. Ideal for a beach holiday.Tradus automat.
- Wendelin H.June 2017Plusuri- well-kept, visually beautiful placeMinusuri- Car parking space (outside CP, and without sun protection in June) - Shopping facilitiesGreen, clean, well-kept pitches (2 CP next to each other)Very nice CP but without soul. Staff friendly (lady at check-in) or very unfriendly (lady at reception). Not enough showers when fully occupied. Access to the beach at one of the two campsites only via stairs. Shopping facilities very poor. Car must be parked in a separate parking space separated by the road. Waste disposal also not on the campsite, but only accessible via the road.Tradus automat.
- Robert F.September 2016PlusuriSea, beach, beautiful grounds, hawkers, private WCMinusuriNo restaurantGreen paradise on the sandy beachBeautiful green place right by the sea. The manager is friendly but sometimes a little harsh. There is no store or restaurant, but hawkers come every day (3 different types of bread, ice cream, fish, meat, fruit). You can buy your own wine (cheap) and olive oil (expensive) on site. Everyone has their... own toilet with washbasin, the showers are coin-operated. ACSI pitches are in the rear part, the nice big pitches near the sea cost 6 € more (but are worth it). There is a fairly expensive restaurant and a good pizza place in the village. Or you can eat at the neighboring campsite. You can rent a car directly at the campsite. The sea and beach are great. No entertainment, just peace and quiet Shopping approx. 6km away in S. Croce, a bit borderline with a bike at 34 degrees and uphill, i.e. better to do your shopping on the way there. There is a Maximarkt 300 m away, but it's more of a mini-market. You can get everything for breakfast, but not much for cooking and nothing for barbecuingTradus automat.
- Chris E.October 2015PlusuriVery welcoming, very nice and always with a smile. I will always remember it.MinusuriNothing to say more than perfectWe were received as friendsHello, yes as if we were part of the family, the lady phoned to prepare an apology. Very nice and welcoming people. A very clean campsite with very large pitches, for which I give 12 out of 10. Thank you to the whole family of this campsite. I recommend it without hesitation. Many thanks. A thousand GRACIE. ChrisTradus automat.
- Willi R.October 2014PlusuriClean, well-kept and friendly.MinusuriEvery now and then a dog barks and the shopping facilities could be improved.Would travel here again and againA small, well-kept 2-part campsite. Very neat and clean. The hosts are friendly, helpful and obliging. The proximity to the beach (through a gate) is wonderful. The sandy beach is one of the most beautiful on the island. (My opinion of course) It is quiet and not crowded in the low season. Ideal for older couples with a penchant for peace and quiet. Was here for the 2nd time and will definitely be back after 2012 and 2014.Tradus automat.
- Sigrid K.May 2014PlusuriSeparate toilet for each pitch and all very well maintained.MinusuriIn the low season there is a slight lack of infrastructure in the areaVery good!Very well run, clean place, the owner family is very friendly and accommodating, we had few shopping and eating possibilities because we were here in the preseason, but we still liked it very much.Tradus automat.
- Menachem W.October 2012An absolutely great place with excellent access to the mostly calm sea. The site is very, very well-kept and the owners treat every guest as if they were part of their family. A MUST when camping in Sicily.Tradus automat.
- Stefan H.June 2012The site is not very big, very well maintained and nicely laid out. So far the best we have found in Sicily. The sanitary facilities are very clean but no longer the most modern. But every pitch has its own toilet! However, there are only 4 showers, which may not be too many in high season. The beach... is very beautiful, right by the sea and can be reached without steep steps or paths. It has the finest sand and a wonderful location in a bay. Unfortunately, there is hardly any shade from the trees on the pitches. The only thing available are the wooden frames for mat roofs, which take some getting used to. There is also no restaurant on the site (which can be reached via the beach about 300m away) or store and the immediate surroundings don't offer much either. However, there is a bakery on site every morning and a fruit vendor twice a week.Tradus automat.
- Heiko R.June 2012Scarabeo is the best place in Sicily, a must and no other should be, top location, great staff, great prices, I even learned Italian on the site. Once and again, many thanks for a great vacation. Many greetings from Rudolf the goatee from GermanyTradus automat.
- Wilfried M.September 2011One of the nicest places I've been to, nice welcome, great beach, the place is very attractively designed, almost everything top, only the surroundings are desolate here, huge greenhouses, and there are a lot of annoying flies. I will definitely be back.Tradus automat.
- Peter J.August 2011We stayed at this campsite from August to September. We liked it very much. The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. Although there is no mini market, the supply is very good. Everything is brought to the caravan. There is a lot of agriculture around the site, which also explains the many annoying flies, the only drawback.Tradus automat.
- greg b.June 2011probably the most beautiful place on the otherwise very ugly island. here you can let your soul dangle.Tradus automat.
