However, the site is correspondingly full on a nice weekend.
There are a few nice pitches for camper vans/camper buses. However, all the other pitches are very narrow and there is hardly any space....
We were surprised by the unfriendliness of the staff. When registering (we came with our bikes and tents) I was asked in an unfriendly manner: "What do you want from me? You're not even here with a tent".
When I then told them that we had made a reservation and that my tent was mounted on the back of the bike, nothing came back......
The modest store has completely exorbitant prices. It's normal and understandable that it's a bit more expensive than in the supermarket. But not such exorbitant prices as this store.
Card payments (EC and credit cards) are generally not possible. However, there is an ATM on site.Tradus automat.
Kurt W.May 2020Plusuri- Non-parceled pitches - Swimming in the lake - Barbecue areas directly on the lake - approx. 1.5 km on foot to the shopping facilities in Walenstadt - ideal for bike tours towards Weesen at the other end of Lake Walen or towards Flums, Mels/Sargans, Bad Ragaz or Vaduz (L) - Many hiking possibilities in the Flumserberge or with the Palfriesbahn in the direction of Alvier. - By boat from Walenstadt across Lake Walen - Stand-up paddling, rowing, kayaking etcMinusuriAs with many Swiss campsites, the ratio between permanent campsites and tourist sites is 2:1 rather 3:1. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but clean, hot water for showering, for washing up you have to pay 20 centimes with an ancient meter.Beautiful campsite right at the upper end of Lake WalenThe campsite is located directly on the "upper" shore of Lake Walen, right where the Seez flows into the Walensee. In summer. It has relatively few caravan pitches. A little more for motorhomes, but they are not allowed directly on the lake. The site is quiet, although the main road and the SBB line are directly above it. The site and the sanitary facilities are clean. The groundsman was authoritarian and unfriendly and assigned two small pitches at the normal rate where it was not possible to fully unroll the sun blinds. Our wishes were not listened to, although there were plenty of free pitches. The sanitary building is a long way away and makes a clean but somewhat outdated impression.Tradus automat.

- Andreas D.May 2012Recommended as a stopover. 2/3 of the site is occupied by permanent campers. We were there in the low season. Therefore, the reception was only sporadically present. The catering also failed, but it was also only about 15min. to the bakery / kiosk in the village. The sanitary facility (one) was no longer... the youngest, but very clean and well maintained. It should also be mentioned that the main road runs quite close to the campsite. But in the evening the view over the lake is 5 stars+. Attention: In the event of wind/thunderstorms (which often occur), the awning must be additionally secured, otherwise it will be gone.Tradus automat.

- Henk V.August 2011Het is een rustige en erg fijne camping in een prachtige omgeving. Je kunt in het meer zwemmen/vissen tussen de bergen en het sanitair is netjes en schoon. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is prima. We kwamen zelfs te laat aan en werden nog vriendelijk ontvangen, we mochten gewoon de volgende dag betalen. Super!Tradus automat.
