- Brigitte W.July 2024PlusuriThe wonderful swimming pool right next door with free use, very nice staff at the reception! The new restaurant on site (Italian), very good but expensive! Appetizer beef tartar 24 euros!MinusuriPlaces not maintained, high weeds at the water points, it smelled very strongly of canal near old wash house, on the main path, on the main path 3 lamps of 4 pcs. broken, very dark in the evening to the wash house, without lamp difficult, and that with a price premium 50 euros!!! Water connection on the pitch with 2 campers, but no drainage of water, so into the meadow, normal pitch 45 euros, no water connection on the plot, without discount!New campsite with many defects! Premium pitch 50 euros per day for 2 people! The site is very nicely located, close to the lake, for swimming for young and old, many restaurants, great bike rides, BUT the prices are very high, and access for larger caravans or mobile homes is sometimes very difficult because the access roads to the site are very narrow! For caravans with cars,... even the Premium pitches are not bigger and so the cars are parallel to the road and some of the cars look onto the road and so the access is very narrow.
Pitch Premium 50 Euro caravan and 2 persons, you have a water tap on the pitch for 2 campers, but everything around is very wet, only meadow and unfortunately it is not well maintained, high grass, normal pitch 45 Euro, water point not at your own pitch!
You get the Burgenlandcard, but unfortunately no discounts on the boat trips, so not many people!
BUT I have to say that the people at reception, whether male or female, were all VERY nice! And helpful! Thank you!Tradus automat. - Jochen V.May 2024PlusuriNothingMinusuriEverythingShit campNever again, I'm so disappointed, it's not possible, I'm so disappointed with this camp, no, it's not possibleTradus automat.

Thank you very much for your review! This is very valuable for us, because the well-being of our guests is our top priority and we will do our best to follow up on your recommendations or act on them immediately!
Our campsite is constantly being improved and modernized (for more details... see www.gmeiner.co.at). We are always happy to receive constructive suggestions for improvement! Please send us an e-mail with these to office@gmeiner.co.at
Your Storchencamp TeamTradus automat. - Roland S.July 2021PlusurinoneMinusuriallDisasterReception unfriendly, pretending to be friendly, already displeased at the third question
I have nothing against children's noise, but in the playground there is an ancient "pedal boat car" on which the children romp around and jump - I always think a troop of construction machines is approaching, it... makes such a racket
The campsite warden is nowhere to be seen, he could put some oil on the pedals.
I love birds and birdsong, but it's just pigeons and choughs. The cooing of the pigeons starts at 4 a.m. and continues into the morning, with the occasional call from the Kautz keeping things quiet.
There is virtually no visitor parking, you can only park in front of the barrier for a maximum of 30 minutes if you know it's there. But you still get the threat of a trespass notice.
The only access to the water is in the Rust Canal, where an excursion boat passes through several times a day, showing little consideration for paddlers and swimmers, so you have to make sure you find shelter in the reeds in good time, otherwise they will drive over you. There is no warning about this
Residual waste is thrown into huge dumpers and lies there freely without a cover for days until it is removed, the stench spreads over the entire campsite in good winds
So that was certainly the last time I saw this campsite, I won't miss it!Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Storchencamp Rust October 6, 2021Dear Roland S.!
Thank you very much for your review! It is very important to us to provide our guests with a pleasant atmosphere and a relaxing vacation. We will follow up on your recommendations in terms of "staff".
Lake Neusiedl is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in Europe! ...pure nature... at Lake Neusiedl is therefore part of our concept ;)
You will find a visitor parking lot directly after the barrier at the lake entrance. (More details at www.freistadt-rust.at/tourismus/nuetzliches/parken-anreise/)
The beautiful lakeside resort (which you can visit with the free Neusiedler See Card as a guest of our campsite) is right next door and offers undisturbed bathing pleasure.
We have already taken steps to improve the "garbage dump".
We thank you for your constructive evaluation and if you have any further suggestions, please send them to us by e-mail to office@gmeiner.co.at!
Your Storchencamp TeamTradus automat. - Lisa B.July 2021PlusuriThe friendliness of our fellow guestsMinusuriWrong description: There is no wifi outside the reception. The reception is a narrow room without the possibility to sit down to log in. The luxury mobile homes described in this way lack a TV, coffee machine (available for a deposit) and comfortable sun loungers. And as already mentioned, without WiFi.FakeReception staff without heart brain and charm.
No luxury in the Mobil Home.
Overpriced!Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Storchencamp Rust October 13, 2021Dear Lisa B.!
Thank you for your suggestions! Camping means freedom, relaxation and closeness to nature. These are the basic features of our corporate concept and therefore we have decided to offer WLAN exclusively in the reception area and not to implement TV sets.
Unfortunately, due to repeated theft... and vandalism, we had to offer valuable inventory against deposit.
We look forward to receiving further helpful tips to improve our concept and thus the feel-good factor! Please send them to us at office@gmeiner.co.at
Your Storchencamp TeamTradus automat. - Sabine K.July 2021PlusuriClose to the town of Rust, but a bicycle would be an advantage Close to Lake Neusiedl, lido and bike ferryMinusuriCurrently no shopping facilities on site, except the bakery. There is currently a construction site in the entrance area, which makes access a bit bumpySmall but nice campsiteThe campsite is very well laid out, the premium pitch with electricity and water connection is large enough and surrounded by hedges and lavender. The sanitary building was only opened in spring and is large, bright and clean. Unfortunately there is still a building site at the entrance, which makes... the access road a bit bumpy. However, this is only temporary. There is also no supermarket or restaurant on site. This will probably be taken into account during the renovation work. The nearest town (Rust) can be reached via the access road. A bicycle is recommended. In the immediate vicinity there is a lido with access to the lake which can be used free of charge with the Neusiedlersee Card. All in all very appealing. We would love to come back.Tradus automat.Răspuns de la Storchencamp Rust October 13, 2021Dear Sabine K.!
We are glad that you spent a relaxing vacation with us and that you were satisfied with our NEW sanitary facilities! As you have already mentioned, the renovation and beautification work is underway and will be completed during the low season in order to offer our guests an appealing... feel-good ambience in the next season 2022.
Some time ago we decided to stop offering rental bikes (for organizational reasons). Nearby bike rentals are available. Please do not hesitate to ask our staff for further information!
The NEW restaurant is still looking for a tenant (more details at www.gmeiner.co.at). We are in the starting blocks and look forward to offering a wonderful restaurant ambience by the lake and regional culinary delights next year! Let us surprise you! We look forward to your visit and your feedback next time!
Your Storchencamp TeamTradus automat. - Thomas W.September 2020PlusuriNew sanitary facilities, very nice. Close to the lake with direct lake access at the back of the site.MinusuriUnfortunately no catering possible as there is no restaurant. There is also no kiosk. But in the morning there are fresh pastries from 07:00-10:00.All newThe sanitary facilities have finally been renovated this year and are now modern. The staff on site are always eager to find a solution and remain friendly. The pitches are large enough, even for larger campers. Your Storchencamp TeamTradus automat. - Nalani D.July 2019PlusuriThe atmosphere throughout the campsite is great, everyone is nice and happy to help you out. You really make friends there that last a long time. The "streets" are great for children to cycle and romp around on. My sister and I were allowed to ride around on our own when we were very young, as you can find your way everywhere, nothing is dangerous and you can have the most fun that way. Picking up the breakfast rolls directly from the bakery in the morning was a daily goal, especially as a child on foot or by scooter/bike. There's just something about enjoying a nice breakfast near the lake. For children, the site offers a good playground, several places to play ball etc. and a water access with slide into the lake, as well as many secret paths to keep the children's dream away. All the staff are friendly and always ready to help. The sailing school and the adventure pool with meadows offer many fun activities for the whole family. From a large baby pool, to the children's pool with all the attractions in the water, to a deep pool with a large water slide. There are several volleyball courts available, as well as a mini-golf course, children's trampolines and a playground. Boats, stand-up puddles and pedal boats can also be hired in high season. With the ducks, there is always something interesting to look at.MinusuriIn the past, the sanitary facilities were not completely clean, but judging by the pictures, this seems to have improved considerably.Rating campsiteThe atmosphere throughout the campsite is great, everyone is nice and happy to help you out.
