The center of Thun can be reached by bus or bicycle in 10 minutes. Good public transport connections.
The facilities at the campsite are very clean and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Good water connections on site. Friendly reception. Some of the pitches were strewn with wood shavings, which made it possible to get in and out cleanly.
The sanitary facilities were good... and were cleaned several times, but they were not sufficient when the pitch was full, so there were waiting times, especially in the morning. The individual wash cubicles lacked a small storage area.
Direct access to the lake, possible to walk to Thun, along the lake. Despite full occupancy and many bathers at the lake, it was always quiet at night.

There are good bathing opportunities for children, not too deep water and a great playground. There are also barbecue areas for use at the front of the lake. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The bistro/restaurant is delicious,... but sometimes a little expensive (e.g. 9 fish crispies from Poland for CHF 18).
If you don't need a permanent parking space, this is still included and you pay for a parking space without using it, so to speak.

Christian E.July 2022Plusuri- Location (landscape, leisure facilities) - Cleanliness of the facilityMinusuri- Motorhomes over 4 tons are no longer allowed on the site - Motorhome pitches far too expensive for what is on offer. - Sanitary facilities too scarce in the season.Attention: Motorhomes over 4 tons are no longer allowed on the site.We had already spent a weekend at the campsite in Thun to visit the Lake Thun Games. Neither the weight nor the size were a problem (6.5 to. 7.8m). For the following games, we had again reserved a pitch for a weekend. For well-known reasons, the games only took place again this year and we were looking... forward to a great weekend on this beautiful site.
On arrival, we were told that only motorhomes with a maximum weight of 4 tons would be allowed on the pitch. Instead of the pitch on the campsite, we were 'allowed' to make do with a pitch by the entrance area. A big disappointment for us as this is definitely not the same as a pitch on the site. Unfortunately, there is still no indication of this restriction on the website. Incomprehensible. No matter how friendly the lady at reception is, it doesn't make things any more pleasant.
The 50m2 motorhome pitches, which are described as gravel pitches, are covered with very coarse gravel, not a trace of grass. An awning can be extended, but in the narrow part of the pitches it is practically against the neighboring mobile home (the pitches are arranged in a circle and very narrow in the part towards the middle. The lake road is right next door, which is associated with a corresponding background noise during the week. The whole thing for the same price as a standard plot of 80-110m2 is definitely far too expensive.
The fact that the kitchen then estimated 45 minutes waiting time for two salads on Friday at 13:30 (the bistro was about a third full) was the last straw.
The grounds and sanitary facilities are very well maintained and clean. However, the number of toilets, showers and washing facilities is definitely too limited in high season.
It's a shame for the site, because the surroundings would be great, there's nothing to complain about.

The lake is very clear and you can go far out, ideal with children. Nice playground.

Starting point for beautiful excursions in all directions with a public transport stop right at the entrance.
The lakeshore invites you to linger. The spacious, well-kept park with public barbecue areas and a large playground for the little ones. Lots... of sun-seekers on nice weekends....
Camping site with well-kept pitches. The sanitary facilities were also impressive. Very clean. Friendly staff and a well-run lakeside bistro.
One drawback, the small store with the same opening hours as the reception. We and the dog liked it. There are a few points that are just a shame:
- The pitches in the best location with a view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau have been obstructed by rental properties, blocking the campers' great view.
- "Car-free" does not apply... to residents of the rental properties. They have a parking space right next to the hut, while campers park their cars in the parking lot outside (which is a good thing in itself)
- Not exactly quiet at the front. On the one hand, there is a large playground just behind a not yet very dense hedge, and on the other hand - and this is even more disturbing - at 8(!) in the morning the terrace of the restaurant is being worked on by a camping employee with a leaf blower (!!!). A note to the campsite management is "taken note of" - but forgotten again by the next morning...Tradus automat. - Patrick R.April 2021PlusuriVery good starting point for numerous activities. New, very clean sanitary facilities, but very limited in number, which leads to bottlenecks. The campsite only has a tiny store, which is integrated into the reception and is available at the same opening times... as the reception, which means no fresh bread rolls before 8:30 am, closed over lunchtime. Very friendly staff.
The pitches are very spacious. The premium pitches are even luxuriously equipped. The campsite is a great starting point for numerous excursions, the bus stop for buses to Thun and Spiez is right in front of the entrance. The bus network can be used free of charge with the guest card.
The public lakeside bistro is attached to the campsite, but we didn't visit it, so we can't rate it.
