- Cornelia W.August 2020PlusuriLocation directly on the Ardeche (lake before the barrage, canoe slide, current area after the barrage), good infrastructure on site, delicious pizza, beautifully landscaped pool areas, great sanitary facilities on your own pitch on the new pitchesMinusuriNot well equipped for large trailersBeautiful, but be careful with larger trailersThe pitch, which is actually great for large caravans, has a few disadvantages that detracted from the enjoyment of the vacation and which could actually be remedied by the campsite:
We had booked a pitch on the new part of the site with its own bathroom and kitchen directly on the pitch.
On arrival,... you have to cross the Ardeche over a single-lane bridge directly in front of the campsite. As described here several times, it is not possible to turn right with a larger vehicle. It would be desirable for the campsite to make this clear. After registering at reception, we were told that we would have to reverse out of the driveway to reach the rear of the site. Unfortunately, it was not possible to turn around on the pitch. So we had to unhitch, move and hitch up again in front of the campsite in the traffic. We don't understand why you can't be spared this, for example by being welcomed by an employee in front of the campsite so that you are directed to the pitch first. Especially as we had specified the arrival time in the APP to within half an hour. The new pitch is nice, but you have to move again if the surrounding tents on the neighboring pitches have set up to the edge of their pitch. Then the bend is too tight for a large caravan. The young vegetation on the pitch provides very little shade - but that can still change. We really liked the shower - great water pressure and any temperature possible. The sink and small seating area are also very nice. There is no supply and waste water for caravans, which is a bit of a shame and looks more like tents were assumed to be the users here. It is also not possible to leave via the designated route, because once the car has passed the lockers, you are already so close to the abyss that you would not be able to get the camper van out without being unhooked. We were only offered the exit through the building yard, which is more suitable for caravans, when we asked. What a pity!Tradus automat. - Benjamin B.July 2019Plusuri-Very friendly, helpful staff -Gorgeous new premium pitches -Beautiful location on the Ardèche -Great pool areaMinusuri-Really none found. Questions/problems (arrival/departure) are dealt with or helped immediatelyFantastic campsite on the ArdècheDuring our trip to France this year, we spent a wonderful week's vacation here. Both we and our kids (aged 7 and 9) had a great time here and there was so much to experience. We had one of the new premium pitches, which were easy to reach even with a large trailer and really left nothing to be desired.... The pitch was huge, with its own sanitary block, outdoor washbasin, electric barbecue, garden furniture, parasol and sun loungers and was separated from the neighboring pitch by beautiful planting. The staff were all very friendly and always extremely helpful. The pool area is incredibly beautifully designed and we also liked the indoor pool. There is also a store and a restaurant on site, but we didn't try these. The lower pool was also nice and especially on hot days it was easier to get a place here than at the upper pool. The campsite has a great location right on the Ardèche. Here you can swim, canoe directly from the campsite, go fishing and of course explore the stunning surroundings. A trip through the gorge with stops at the fantastic viewpoints is highly recommended, as is a visit to the Chauvèt Grotto or the Cascades du Sautadet. We felt incredibly at home here and would visit this place again at any time. Now to the approach: you should never turn right onto the bridge, especially if you have a large vehicle and an oversized trailer. You can drive straight on and "turn" at the traffic circle in the next village, then you come back to the intersection described above and turn right, drive the specified curve and can then simply drive straight over the bridge without any problems.Tradus automat.
- Michael M.April 2019PlusuriVery well-kept complex with a wide range of leisure activitiesMinusuriDepending on the selection of the parking space by a main road running opposite the site, according toWell-equipped and typical YELLO pitchAs is usual with the sites in the "Yello" chain, this is a complex consisting mainly of mobile homes with an adjoining campsite. The sanitary facilities, which are spread over several buildings, are very well maintained and equipped with huge shower cubicles with their own washbasins compared to other... campsites. Coin-operated washing machines provide everything you need. A heated small swimming pool (up to 190 cm deep!), a paddling pool and three Jaccuzis are available alongside a generously equipped children's playground. In addition to the obligatory bar and restaurant, there is also a small supermarket with fresh bread. The site is located directly on the Ardèche. Due to its location in a bend, there are many riverside pitches available. The pitches are separated by high hedges and vary in size from 80 to 100 m². The ground can be stony, especially near the banks. Many trees provide shady spots. The pitch prices include electricity. However, the busy road connecting Ruoms and Vallon runs along the other side of the shore, which can make it noisy during the day right next to the shore pitches. Wifi is generally available free of charge, but cannot be received throughout the site. In the high season the campsite is packed, so you have to live with the usual restrictions. The staff were friendly and courteous. Small update 2019: In the meantime, fast and good WLAN is available free of charge on the entire site. Unfortunately, I have to confirm the difficult approach for large caravans; these may have to be separated and the caravan maneuvered separately to the pitch.Tradus automat.
- Heike H.April 2019Plusuri- Super clean and spacious sanitary facilities - free WLANMinusuri- No free choice of pitch (only 3 pitches to choose from, although the campsite was 80% free) - Retention of the identity cardbeautiful place on the ArdècheUpdate April 2019: The campsite is still great and impresses with its clean sanitary facilities at all times. Another advantage is the free Wi-Fi (for 1 device) at the pitch. Another new feature since our last visit is the indoor pool in the Jardin area. What bothered us this time, however, was the reception... at reception. On our last vacation, we announced our maximum vacation duration on arrival. We were given a map on which the reserved pitches were marked - we were allowed to choose our preferred pitch from all the others. Not so this year! The site was a maximum of 20% full, but we were only given 3 pitches to choose from. It was also not possible to specify the maximum vacation duration, but the minimum. If I'm on vacation in the low season, I want to be flexible and not have to specify my definite departure date on arrival or alternatively go to reception every day and extend my stay by another day. As a further annoyance, the identity card was withheld and not automatically handed over on payment but only on request, I almost left without it and had to go to reception again!!!! As we have been guests several times, have a Yelloh Village Club card and all our details were saved on the computer, I cannot understand this procedure at all. It is a shame that this experience left us with a negative memory of our stay. May 2011: We have been to this campsite several times during the Whitsun vacations, but this time it was in the absolute low season - only 3 pitches were occupied. Therefore, only one sanitary building (heated) was open. This makes a very good impression, large individual shower cubicles with washbasins, attractive tiles, very clean toilets and toilet paper available. The campsite is divided into 2 areas (approx. 200 m apart): 1st Rivière quarter: pitches and mobile homes, 2nd Jardin quarter: mobile homes. Both areas have a beautiful heated swimming pool. The Rivière district has a reception, supermarket, entertainment and tennis courts. The Ardèche region offers a wide range of activities for nature lovers: Canoeing, climbing, caves, many nice villages. Thursday is the market in Vallon and Friday in Ruoms.Tradus automat.
- Martin S.August 2017PlusuriLocation, excursion destinations, gastronomy albeit expensiveMinusuriSanitary facilities, size of the pitches, narrow and dark pathsWhere there is light, there is also shadowAccess to the site is adventurous with a long trailer, as the bridge to the campsite is very narrow. The access to the site itself is narrow and there is no waiting area. Paths on the site very narrow, sometimes direct access to and on the site not possible, had to uncouple and move. Pitches vary in... size, but tight for larger Cravan with awning and car on site. Catering on site is good, but expensive. Pool area on CP side ok for adults, for kids you have to change to another area by access code. The location and view of the campsite is very beautiful due to the Ardeche flowing past. Overall, the price here is too expensive for a 5-star category site, as the pitches and sanitary facilities are not up to scratch.Tradus automat.
- Irmgard F.July 2017PlusuriBeautiful areaMinusuritoo narrow, outdated sanitary facilities without toilet seat, poor WLANNo 5 starsThe approach to the campsite leads over a small bridge, over which turning caravans cannot get through without hitting their tires on the high kerb. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The paths on the site are unlit and very narrow, making it difficult to get to the pitch. We were... lucky and got a large one with a view of the Ardeche. Our neighbors paid the same and could barely fit their normal sized trailer on their pitch. WLAN did not work on the pitch. The site has 5 stars, but at 5 stars I see Le Brasilia in front of me and Soleil Vivarais can't hold a candle to it. The sanitary facilities are clean, but outdated and correspond to 3 stars at most. The washing-up water was mostly cold and the sinks were the size of dolls. The 5 stars may be justified for the mobile home shares. The hiking tour with a local guide is highly recommended. It was simply super interesting. The area offers many interesting destinations.Tradus automat.
- Silvia S.July 2017PlusuriLocationMinusuriNarrowness, prices in the restaurantI am a little disappointedWe have been using Yelloh Village campsites for years. And this is the first site that has not convinced us. The ratio of mobile homes to pitches is approx. 2/1. It is a 5-star site and offers everything a 5-star site should offer. But: The "streets" on the site are very narrow. The pitches are very... different in size and shape. There are 2 parts of the site: The actual site, where mobile homes and pitches can be found. There is a pool with 3 whirlpools, a well-stocked supermarket, a bar, a rather overpriced restaurant (the only option for take-away is pizza, the cheapest costs €12), tennis courts and 4 sanitary blocks. 2 of them are a bit older, but in good order and clean, 2 of them are relatively new, but are located in the middle of the mobile homes. Then there is the 2nd part via a small road, on which only mobile homes are located. This part is completely hidden behind a high wall and can only be entered with the appropriate code. On this part you will find the "fun pool", the snack bar, massages and much more. From both sites you have good access to the Ardéche, where you can also hire canoes. It is essential to take appropriate water shoes with you, as the entire bank area and the river itself are very stony. All in all, it was ok, but at Yellohvillage you get the impression more and more that the mobile homes are more important than the pitches. There is also no possibility for caravans to stand anywhere in front of the barrier when arriving or departing at night.Tradus automat.
- Daniel M.August 2011I spent this camping together with my son on the pitch. My parents stayed in a cottage for the same 2 weeks. Apart from the restaurant, everything was great. Staff were always friendly, small defects were fixed the same day, great leisure facilities, quiet from 11pm. Finally a great summer vacation. We will be back again. PS: I spent my summer vacation there not only in 2011 but also in 2012.Tradus automat.
