- Sandra W.July 2018PlusuriPool + sea, everything accessible by bike, coastal cycle pathMinusurivery fullFavorite campsiteOur absolute favorite campsite, but very full in the high season. You should book in early fall for the summer. It has very nice pitches, but these have had to make way for more and more mobile homes in recent years. The really great pitches are usually reserved by people who come every year, usually... directly in the summer for the coming year, with a great entertainment program, e.g. archery. Morning, afternoon and evening program for children and teenagers. Evening events for everyone organized by the entertainment team or with outside performers (bands, dance groups, magicians, etc.). Several sanitary facilities, the new ones are really chic and there is even a small fitness studio. They are cleaned several times a day in high season. Distance to the sea (beautiful wide sandy beach) and to the village by bike approx. 5 minutes. Several surf schools on site, some of which are German-speaking. You can simply go there and register, although you may have to wait 2-3 days. Good, inexpensive small supermarket at the campsite + pizza, restaurant. Another small supermarket in the village, as well as fruit and vegetable stand, bakery, bicycle repair, 1x weekly dinner in the village in summer organized by a fishing club, various restaurants and snack bars as well as small nice tourist stores and 1x weekly market. The campsite is located on a river where you can go canoeing and has tennis courts, boules courts, several playgrounds, volleyball and basketball courts. Connection to the coastal cycle path, e.g. to Mimizan or Lacanau... or along the entire Atlantic coast (very inexpensive bicycle repair in the village). There are also riding stables, paintball etc. nearby. Excursion and Ecomusée de Marquèze and to Bordeaux recommended. Simply one of the best places... Would love to go there in the low season. Mobile homes are also available in all sizes and price ranges. Here too, it's worth booking early (also financially). An absolutely recommendable place.Tradus automat.
- Esteban D.August 2017PlusuriClimate locationMinusuriPoor sanitary maintenanceCamping too flashyWants to be more Club Med than camping, but doesn't have the means. For example, the sanitary facilities were refurbished but in a deplorable state at the end of the first season (shower locks, toilets broken but not repaired ==> less than half of them usable at the beginning of August!) It's a pity, because it was a very nice campsite, but one that seems to forget the camper.Tradus automat.
- Armin G.July 2014PlusuriNice place, good location, great beachMinusuriold sanitary facilities, sandy pitchesBeautiful CP in a beautiful locationOur first stay at a Yellow! Village pitch. Large site, lots of rental accommodation. Had a pitch at the back by the river above the archery field. It was big enough, without shade. We had even received photos of some pitches from reception before booking so that we could better orient ourselves for the... paid pitch reservation - top service!!! The sanitary units are getting on in years. The "old" units have low water pressure and hot water is very scarce. In the area of our pitch, a new small sanitary unit was probably only built last year (3 showers, 3 wash cubicles, 4-5 toilets incl. 1 disabled cubicle with toilet-shower-washbasin. These were very popular and there were waiting times in front of the showers, but you also got plenty of hot water :-). But there are soap dispensers at the washbasins in every sanitary unit! Supermarket ok, but we got the baguettes and croissants in the morning from the bakery at the entrance to the village (5 mins by bike) - very tasty! Through the village to the extensive beach, with a supervised swimming area. Nice little village. Shopping facilities approx. 10 - 15 km away, but worthwhile. The staff at reception are very nice and very helpful. We had a storm one evening with heavy rain and hail. The CP staff came round and offered to help (digging trenches ...) - great service and you felt a little reassured. The morning after, there was no problem getting confirmation of the storm at reception to submit to the insurance company for claims settlement! The pool area is spacious, but we didn't use it ourselves. Overall worthy of 4*, would stay there again, but only in the same pitch area.Tradus automat.
- Anja B.June 2014Plusuri- Beautiful pool area - Proximity to the sea - Children's entertainmentMinusuri- Playground? - We didn't find one (apart from a worn-out climbing frame)Nice place on the Atlantic- Staff: Top! Friendly and service-oriented. - Sanitary: Getting on in years, dingy, but always clean! (Only the small sanitary unit under the restaurant (very hidden) is relatively new and top! - Pitch: Large pitches, some very sandy (be careful! risk of sinking in!) - Swimming: Great new pool area!... The slides are out of the way, you only slide into a small collecting pool, which wasn't much fun for my kids. - Sea: After a short walk through the village with a few boutiques, surf stores, cafés and restaurants, you'll find a great beach (supervised in high season). - River: Just behind the pitches, a short sandy beach leads to the river, where you can paddle a little and even take part in canoe/kayak tours a short distance from the campsite. Stand-up paddling is also possible from the campsite. The villages - and therefore the larger shopping facilities - are a little further away, but not a problem by bike as they are largely flat.Tradus automat.
- Marion B.July 2012The site is in a very nice location overall, with good infrastructure and leisure facilities. The really great beach with a guarded section can be reached in 10 minutes and there are also many nice restaurants in Contis Plage. The staff are friendly and service-oriented. The sanitary facilities are plentiful... and very clean in the low season. In the high season, however, one or two people manage to leave a cabin dirty despite several daily cleanings. The campsite is very quiet in the low season. In the high season there is more and more entertainment, which sometimes ends later than planned, so that the campsite cannot always be described as quiet. However, the price includes many leisure activities for guests of all ages, so there is something for everyone.Tradus automat.
- Thomas H.July 2011The campsite has four stars, which is completely unjustified. Sanitary facilities: desolate, nothing has been renewed for years, poor maintenance. Pitches: very sandy, often impassable by car or caravan, pegs barely hold. Lots of bungalows, tent/caravan pitches are dwindling. The noise level is very... high before midnight. The entertainment areas (football, boules, table tennis, etc.) are lit up until after midnight and are therefore very busy. VERY LOUD! - Andreas B.July 2010PlusuriCentral location Modern powder system for small childrengood campsite in central locationThe campsite is well located. You can easily reach the nearby beaches on foot. The Pulanage was a good alternative to the rather rough Atlantic, especially for our children. All in all, we have no complaints.Tradus automat.
