- Steven J.September 2015ПоложительныеCentral location, lively Corte, hiking paradise, the real CorsicaОтрицательныеNone foundAbsolutely recommendable place in the heart of CorsicaUpdate 2015: As always, everything was fine. Unfortunately, the pizza chef was ill and the oven remained cold. Get well soon. Spent a few days at CP U Sognu for the 6th time in June 2014. It was wonderful again!!! The sanitary facilities are certainly not up to Northern European standards. However, in... the low season (May/June) and also in September there are sufficient numbers and they have always been clean. In addition to sitting toilets, there are also standing toilets. The showers are ok and nice and warm. The reception was very friendly as always. However, dogs are probably not allowed because of the cats. The barrier is closed in the evening from 9pm. Then no more vehicles can enter the site! You can choose your own pitch. The CP is not parceled out. It is also a little uneven in places. You should have wedges with you to compensate if you sleep in a bus or camper van. There are very nice niches on terraces for small tents. However, you cannot take a car to the tent there. Electricity taps are only available on the middle "island". A road leads around it. It's not ideal because it's like standing on a traffic island. If you stand to the left or right of the path, it's nicer for my taste because it's quieter and more intimate. But then the cars inevitably drive over the power cable - well, yes. In any case, you should have a cable drum with at least 50m. There are some shady deciduous and olive trees under which you can relax. Great view of the surrounding mountains and the citadel of Corte. There is a cozy, small restaurant with a few dishes to choose from. You can also get your baguettes and the weather forecast for the next few days there from 7am. Breakfast is available for €7. Everything else is only available in the supermarket in Corte. There is also a pizza baker on the campsite (to take away). Once again this year, it was delicious and not too expensive at €8. There are also numerous restaurants in Corte, which is definitely worth a visit. It's about a 15-minute walk there. The Restonica stream with bathing spots is just around the corner - a trip to the Restonica Valley with Melo and Capitello Lake is a must for hiking enthusiasts anyway. Leave early by car, otherwise the parking lot at the top is full. In June 2014, the last road bridge at the top was torn away by masses of rubble. This extended the hike by approx. 40 minutes (there and back). Parking fee for a VW bus €5. Not forgetting the car-free, wildly romantic Tavignano Valley (starting point for the hike directly below the citadel at the bridge). And even the east coast with its miles of sandy beaches (Aleria) is no more than an hour's drive away. It takes just as long to reach the super beaches of Ostriccioni and Lozari on the west coast. Excursions to the Asco Valley, Scala Santa Regina or Bozio are tempting. A trip by train to Vizzavona and from there an easy hike to the cascades is also great. Anyone who gets bored here is beyond help. This is certainly not recommended with very small children, as the hikes are not "without" and the numerous river bathing spots can only be reached with a bit of scrambling. You shouldn't expect the water to be at bathtub temperature, even in midsummer. It is nice and refreshing! All in all, a highly recommended place!Перевод автоматический.
- Paul T.May 2015ПоложительныеFriendly welcome, close to the city, good starting point for bike, climbing and mountain toursFriendly, rustic, close to the cityWe stayed at this campsite for three nights. The reception was extremely friendly. We immediately felt at home. The sanitary facilities look very rustic, but were always clean. It's a shame that there is no hot water at the sinks. The town is within easy walking distance. The campsite is also an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours.Перевод автоматический.
- Karl M.July 2014ПоложительныеCentral location, beautiful view, nice operator.Cozy place in a great locationWe stayed at the U Sognu campsite for 3 nights in July 2014 and really enjoyed it. The place is rather simple, rustic and cozy. The welcome was very friendly by a gentleman who only spoke French, which was no problem even with our poor knowledge of French. However, the owner also speaks English and was... very friendly and gave good tips on what to visit and when. She has several cats that run around freely on the site. This is why dogs are not allowed on the site. The cats didn't bother us, as they just lay on the paths or ran back and forth between the forest and the house, but weren't interested in the campers at all. You can choose your own pitch, but if you also want electricity, you are somewhat restricted as there are only power distributors on the main path. However, this is not a problem if you have enough cable. There is a special car-free area for tents, which is separated by large boulders in front of which you can park your car. As the site is situated below a slope, there are also some very nice terraced pitches for tents, at least for the smaller ones. There are some sunny and plenty of shady spots throughout the site, most of which are under an olive tree. The sanitary facilities are located at the far end of the site, and there are also two small huts on the site, each with a toilet and 2 washbasins. There is also a supply/disposal point for motorhomes at one of the small houses. Although the site was very busy during our stay, the sanitary facilities were always clean and tidy. However, this is not a 5-star sanitary facility, it is quite rustic and not really modern, but has a lot of charm with the simple stone walls and exposed roof tiles. Opposite the reception you could buy very good stone oven pizza in the evening, which was freshly baked there. There was also a small bistro where you could get fresh bread and croissants in the morning or have breakfast.Перевод автоматический.
- Stefan S.July 2014ПоложительныеCentrally locatedVery unfriendlyPrices simply arbitrary. Our 7-year-old son was spontaneously charged as an adult by the patron (after we had already been quoted a price by the site manager and our large tent was half pitched). Furthermore, we were asked to move our car 3 times during the pitching of the tent in the rain. Absurd would... be a harmless description. I actually wanted to stay a little longer in the area, but I have the feeling that they don't want any guests here, at least not us. My wife finds the sanitary facilities very disgusting (smell of cat urine in the sinks etc.), I don't know what cat pee smells like and would simply describe them as basic.Перевод автоматический.
- Frank T.July 2014ПоложительныеClose to the city, swimming in the Restonica Gorge, hikingBeautiful spot at the entrance to the Restonica GorgeThis is the third time we have stayed here. It's in a great location for visiting the town of Corte or the Tavingano and Restonica gorges. The site is clean and the welcome is friendly. In the evening, the site operator bakes a very good stone oven pizza, which you can buy for little money by Corsican standards. The site has a V+E for WOMOS. The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. A rustic place, gladly again.Перевод автоматический.
- Karl J.May 2014ПоложительныеCentral location with a view of the citadel.ОтрицательныеNo dogs allowed.Nice and quietBeautiful, centrally located site in Corte on the road to the Restonica Valley. The site is not parceled out, you look for your pitch under olive trees, especially for tents there is also a very nice terraced part above the other pitches. Cars must be parked on the central circular path, so that the... tent pitches remain car-free. Electricity is only available in the part within the circular route. The sanitary facilities are simple and functional, but were always clean and were cleaned at least twice a day. Hot water only in the showers. There is a small bistro on site where you can also buy wine and bread in the morning (from 7am). From 7pm there was pizza from the wood-fired oven. Very friendly staff. From 9pm to 7am the gate is closed and you can't drive onto the site and no more guests are accepted. Dogs are generally not allowed on the site.Перевод автоматический.
- Hermann E.May 2012Groundsman moderately friendly, sanitary facilities very simple, hardly maintained, very close to the city, citadel and old town within easy walking distance, place not unkempt,Перевод автоматический.
- Achim U.August 2011Unfortunately very unfriendly owners (not allowed to visit with the whole family! The owner: "This isn't a museum here"?!!!). This is not resolute, but simply unfriendly. Never experienced this before in Corsica. Dusty and little shade in the lower part.Перевод автоматический.
