Andreas und Petra S.September 2015Ideally located for visiting Le-Puy-en-Velay on footSmall campsite with an estimated 60 pitches at the foot of the town. Even at the end of September, when most campsites have already closed, the site is still half full. The pitches are good sized, on grass and there is a free choice of pitches. Many large trees provide plenty of shade. WLAN is available... free of charge at reception. Despite the nearby road, the traffic noise is low in the evening. However, the site is in the direct vicinity of the town's hospital. Temporary disruption from ambulances and rescue helicopters must be accepted. Unisex toilets without glasses and paper, free showers. According to comments from the site operator, see "roland-1, from June 2014", the sanitary facilities were supposedly completely renovated in April 2015. At the end of September, only the front wash house was open. Nothing had been renovated there. The facilities are old and in poor condition. Would not be a problem but poorly cleaned and broken. The young couple who run the campsite make it very amateurish and laborious. Water points on the site not in operation. Almost in the middle of the city and yet absolutely quiet, shady, park-like grounds. The sanitary facilities are very basic, but everything else is just beautiful.
