"Showplace - This is how camping works. The reception can speak German. The entrance to the campsite is via a barrier with license plate recognition. The roads to the individual pitches are well signposted, but difficult to drive on for wider or longer vehicles. The pitches are large and consist of a mixture of gravel and sand. As there is no separation from the camp neighbors, you have to orientate yourself by the trees (all feasible). The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. There is also a toddler pool and a water playground for older children. The campsite has a family feel thanks to the many long-term campers who already know each other well and are happy to welcome newcomers into their circle. We felt very comfortable here, although it should be noted that a 4-star rating is not enough for this campsite.

"Nice place, good for cycling - The site is easily accessible and open in winter. The indoor pool is small, but you can swim laps. Due to the many trees you have to be very careful with the Womo (3m), but in summer you certainly have a lot of shade. Beach and Lidl are easily accessible by bike. Great cycle paths in the nearby nature reserve. Better not to eat pizza in the restaurant. Deep-frozen product!

"15 minutes walk to the beach via a busy road - Larger pitches are occupied by permanent campers, despite booking very early and giving all the dimensions of our caravan (length, width, height) and car, we were offered a pitch where we could just about park the caravan and car, awning was unfortunately not possible due to lack of space. We also didn't appreciate the advice to walk around the campsite on arrival and see if there was a pitch that would suit us better, as we were tired from the journey and didn't feel like walking around a larger campsite. Wi-Fi doesn't work, we paid €14 for 7 days for nothing. High kerbs, 6 amp electricity, approx. 15 min walk to the beach via a busy road, approx. 40 min walk to the town. Sanitary facilities are clean, staff very friendly. Restaurant and small store available. It is worth taking a boat trip to the caves (22 EUR per person) The weekly market is not worth it, only pirated copies of everything you can think of (bags, belts, clothing) and two !!!! vegetable stalls.

"Super place - This beautiful, quiet campsite with approx. 170 pitches is located on the outskirts of L,Estartit in Catalonia. Coming from Torroella de Montgri, look out for the signs on the road after the town sign. Reception will provide you with a map of free pitches to choose from. The campsite has a store, restaurant, indoor pool and sauna. Playgrounds and sports facilities are also available. The two sanitary buildings are modern and the showers can be used without tokens. Car wash area, disposal for motorhomes and washing machines + dryers are available. Daily fresh bread and friendly staff make your stay on one of the pitches with water and drainage connections a pleasant vacation experience. The beach is approx. 500m away and there are two supermarkets in the immediate vicinity.

"Very well-kept place with sauna and indoor pool - We stayed here for 4 days in Jan 2019 on our way south. Can confirm the detailed review below. To add would be the small sauna, which we used twice and appreciated, even if it is overpriced for 2 people at 21€. From the sauna you also have direct access to the indoor pool (free of charge)

"Top place, great operator, friendly staff - We spent the 2018/2019 winter vacation on the site. Our pitch was big enough to comfortably place our caravan across. Despite the awning, there was still enough space to park the car and even sit there with the chairs. However, we also had to see how drivers of large motorhomes had to maneuver quite a bit to be able to park their vehicle. The clientele was international - French, Spanish, Dutch, English and German. The site is also used as a stopover for travelers heading south or returning, which occasionally caused a bit of disturbance in the morning, but wasn't really disruptive. The campsite and the outdoor areas were constantly cleaned and maintained. The same applies to the wash houses. Everything was in good condition and well maintained. If there was a defect in any of the facilities, this was rectified immediately. The indoor pool was an important place to start the day during our vacation. The water is pleasantly warm, the swimming pool and changing rooms are also clean and well maintained. The outdoor pool was not in use, but also made a nice impression. The mini market has the most important things. Bread, rolls etc. can be bought there from 8.00 am. If the display is sold out, you only have to wait 10 minutes or come again and new rolls or crossaints are baked. Entertainment for the guests is also provided during the winter months. We took part in a hike to the Castell de Montgri led by the boss. There are Spanish lessons twice a week with Martha in the snack bar area, as well as AquaGym 3 times a week in the indoor pool. We can't rate AquaGym now as we didn't take part in it, but the Spanish lessons were fun. My daughter told me right after the first lesson in the evening that I actually wanted to be "siete" (7) back and not "ocho" (8). Hola Martha! The snack bar opens in the evening from 6.00 pm where you can order pizza etc. or have a drink at the bar. The drinks prices are not overpriced in my opinion, for example a 0.3 cerveza at €1.70. A small group quickly got together through the Spanish lessons and met there for a quick beer in the evening. Greetings to Antonio, our barman and all-rounder on the square. The restaurant opens at 7.00 pm. The dishes here change daily, so you should order in advance at reception. We made use of this twice and were not disappointed. The food was plentiful and delicious. One drink during the meal is included in the menu price. Others are charged at normal prices. The menu itself is not overpriced at €13.00 per person. Further activities are displayed on the mini-market or reception notice boards. Excursion destinations such as Pals or Besalü can be reached quickly by car. Shopping facilities such as Carrefour (Torroella), Supermercat or Lidl are also in the immediate vicinity. We assume that there will also be more options in L'Estartit in the summer months. We definitely saw a few stores on our bike tours (Spar supermarket etc.) but they were closed. The pedestrian zone itself was no longer lively. There were still a few pubs in the marina area that were open. There are several hiking and cycling trails. We received a corresponding route map at reception. The site was also visited by some four-legged friends. It's not far to the beach and there's a wonderful beach area where dogs are also allowed. All in all, the vacation was over far too quickly and we would like to thank the Pla family and all the staff. If we are allowed to, we will gladly come back ;-)
