- Jürgen H.April 2023ПоложительныеBeautifully maintained, partly small pitchesОтрицательныеSanitary buildingSquare with lake viewNice little campsite divided into two halves by a road. The pitches are well maintained, but the access roads are a little narrow. Some pitches have a beautiful view of the lake.
The sanitary building on the main site is very small, but clean. Unfortunately, the showers, washbasins and toilets are all in one room.Перевод автоматический. - Chris P.October 2019ПоложительныеGreat location on the lake, close to the city center, friendly service. The campsite is open until the end of October.ОтрицательныеSanitary facilities are no longer up-to-date, but ok. There is no toilet paper.Simple campsite in a beautiful locationThe highlight is, of course, that the campsite is located directly on Lake Maggiore. Otherwise, everything is kept simple, apart from a small bar and a mini-market, where you really only get the bare essentials (but bread roll service), the campsite offers nothing. There is a pizzeria and a children's... playground next door. The sanitary facilities could do with an update. We were there at the end of October, when other campsites in the area have long since closed.Перевод автоматический.
- Caspar S.August 2019ПоложительныеThe landscape, the lake, the climate, nice people.ОтрицательныеMosquitoes, zebra mosquitoes.Iconic squareVisited by many regular guests. Very nice staff. Good stores nearby. Mega scenery. Very clean and absolutely quiet at night.Перевод автоматический.
- Daniel F.September 2018ПоложительныеLocationОтрицательныеNot very correct in our opinion2 times and unfortunately not againThe campsite is quiet and beautifully situated. Although not directly on the lake, it is only separated from the lake by the lakeside promenade. However, the exit is on the side away from the lake, but you can also go directly out onto the lake promenade via the pizzeria. The staff were friendly on our... first visit. Also on arrival for our 2nd visit. We wanted to stay for 2 nights and paid straight away. IRRTUM! Unfortunately one of our 2 dogs got sick and we had to leave after just one night. We told him this in the morning when we went to get bread rolls, but the manager (very unfriendly) didn't want to know anything about a refund for the 2nd night, even though the campsite was almost full and more arrivals were expected at the weekend. It's clear that we won't be going back to this campsite under these circumstances. We also had the misfortune of getting the pitch right at the chemical toilet emptying station. In the morning, one camping guest after another arrived and we had to watch and listen as they emptied their toilets with the door open while we were having breakfast - not very appetizing! The pitches on the side are sandy, which makes for a lot of dust when it's dry. I wouldn't want to be on it when it's raining, especially with dogs. Too bad about the otherwise beautifully situated place.Перевод автоматический.
- Carsten C.June 2018Положительныеgreat location, nice little beach, good restaurantsОтрицательныеCycling inadequate, no dog walking facilities.Nice little placeVery nice location, we were on the reception side as it was still low season and the rest wasn't open yet. Everything was very friendly and clean. Reception also has a small bar and bread rolls can be pre-ordered. Otherwise, the supply in the village is feasible but only in a small supermarket that carries... the normal needs. The pitch is on a slight slope, but a wedge should be enough to get the WW straight. But everything is very tight, with our 7.80m WW nothing could be done without a mover. Dogs are allowed, but it's not a dog paradise on the lake, no opportunities to run around unless you go up into the mountains. Cycling only for hardened cyclists ......... No cycle paths on the lake, but lots of trafficПеревод автоматический.
- Michél K.May 2018ПоложительныеLocation to the lake, sanitary facilities absolutely clean, well-kept grounds, good value for money.ОтрицательныеPlots too small.Beautiful place and friendly staff. The site is divided into two areas. One directly on the lake and a smaller area separated by a cul-de-sac. We ourselves were in the small area. The whole site was beautifully laid out, well maintained and the sanitary facilities were absolutely clean. There is a lack of shopping facilities in the immediate... vicinity, but this site is all about relaxation. The only drawback is that the pitches are incredibly small, which can be a bit oppressive in high season. The view and location to the lake are perfect. We were there with three adults, one child (3) and a car with caravan. We would come again at any time in the low season.Перевод автоматический.
- Ilona K.April 2017nice vacationCampsite right on the lake, friendly team and clean sanitary facilities. All in all...we really enjoyed it.Перевод автоматический.
- Wolfgang P.August 2016Small and charmingA very small campsite where every space, however small, is used for parking. Really large mobile homes will not find a suitable pitch here, but everyone else will. The operators and their staff are very friendly, the sanitary facilities are simple and clean. You can buy the essentials on the site, and... there is a small supermarket about 400 meters away. Access to the lake is through a small garden gate, then a few steps along the promenade and down the stone steps and you are at the water's edge. The site is located between two dead ends, which are very busy during the day because many people use them to find a parking space and access the lake. It's not very quiet during the day, but it is at night. To sum up, I really liked the site, it is small, manageable and has charm.Перевод автоматический.
- Hans V.August 2015ПоложительныеUnbeatable price/performance ratio.ОтрицательныеWithout a vehicle you are stuck or you have to take the bus.Still always happy to come backBeautiful campsite, very nice location, unfortunately often noisy during the day due to garden engines and at night constant unnecessary driving back and forth by young people in their cars.Перевод автоматический.
- Michael B.July 2015ПоложительныеDirectly on the lake, great shore/beach, small CP with everything your heart desiresОтрицательныеYou have to bring your own toilet paperSimply super...We (a couple in our late 20s) were looking for a small village and a small campsite on Lake Maggiore and came across Camping Lido. A small, cozy campsite right on the lake with a great shore and plenty of space to relax! The pitches are sufficient for normal campers and caravans and really great! Plenty... of water points and electricity connections and well-maintained sanitary facilities. There is also a freezer for your ice packs. The only thing to remember is to bring your own toilet paper, there is none here... If you want to relax and are looking for a sleepy little place with a very small campsite (probably around 70 pitches) right on the lake, you absolutely have to come here!!!Перевод автоматический.
- Sascha S.September 2014ПоложительныеVery nice location, good price-performance ratio, many leisure activitiesОтрицательныеVery small pitch with tight bends and small pitchesWe would come here again at any time...We decided to go on another short trip at the beginning of September. Initially, we had only planned a trip to Lake Lucerne. However, the weather there quickly persuaded us to move on. Plan B was then the campsite on Lake Maggiore. We have not regretted it. We didn't feel any of the unfriendliness at... reception that the previous reviewer mentioned. On the contrary, they made every effort to find a suitable pitch for us. The location is really great. As long as you don't have a huge motorhome on the pitch in front of you, you always have a great view of the lake. The pitches without a lake view are also a little cheaper. We also found the calculation of the pitch fee very simple. There are no hidden costs such as buying shower tokens or charging extra for electricity. There is a package deal (2 people, pitch, car, electricity, water) all included. We were only charged per day for the dog. On the subject of dogs... There were a lot of dog owners there and in general they are well-disposed towards four-legged friends. Not only on the campsite but also in the town. However, if you want to give your dog some exercise, you have to walk a bit further. We always went for a longer walk in the mountains. There are lots of bag dispensers for dog waste throughout the promenade area in case something should "happen". Unfortunately, they were all empty, but I put this down to the fact that we were there very late in the season. I think they are stocked again in the high season. In the off-season you have to expect that the green areas will be worked on from time to time with brush cutters and hedge trimmers, but that has to be done at some point. However, the noise was kept within limits. The church tower....lach, yes, it starts ringing in the morning, but with a bit of humor you can even find it charming. We spent three days trying to find out what time it was. Once again on the subject of dogs: On the promenade there is a sign every hundred meters saying "No dogs on the beach" but apparently the Italians have a different relationship to prohibition signs than we Germans. First of all, no-one obeyed and secondly, no-one felt bothered. This may be due to the low season, but I think as long as you have your pooch under control and he doesn't run wildly over all the sunbathing areas, he is tolerated. It goes without saying that they must be kept on a lead. There is not enough space for youth groups at Camping Lido and the pitches are more suitable for small caravans or mobile homes. You will have difficulties maneuvering with larger campers. You might be able to get in, but then out again...uuaaaa...because you have to maneuver around a pitch at the bottom end of the site in a tight bend and then in serpentine lines past the sanitary building. A large Knaus, although unhooked and equipped with a mover, had a hard time. The sanitary facilities are really clean and spacious. There are hooks for hanging up clothes and the like in both the showers and the spacious toilets. There is even a hairdryer on the wall and if you forget your toothpaste, there is a dispenser. Waste is separated, there are different garbage cans for glass, organic and residual waste. Everything is emptied regularly, not just on the campsite but in the whole area around the lake and in the village. Shopping on the pitch for the essentials is possible, the bread roll service in the morning works perfectly and for everything else there is an Alimentari in the village. Everything can be reached on foot in a few minutes. It's not worth driving into the village from the campsite, you're already in the middle of it anyway and parking spaces can only be reached via detours due to the many one-way streets. Walking is much more relaxed. Hiking is also very good here. Suitable footwear is recommended because even the circular routes that are declared as "easy" are not that easy. There is always a steep climb to start with (gasp) but once you reach the top you are rewarded with a fantastic view of the lake and Luino opposite. If you don't want to cook yourself, you can indulge in all kinds of delicacies in one of the many restaurants. From the inexpensive trattoria to really fantastically prepared culinary delicacies, everything is on offer. And, in my opinion, at reasonable prices. All in all, I can only recommend the place with a clear conscience. We will definitely be back.Перевод автоматический.
- Sabine V.June 2014Положительныеclean waterОтрицательныеbad, narrow roadsnever again !!!We were at this campsite in June 2014, the employee at the registration desk was rude and bad-tempered, we also had to pay tourist tax on departure, which was not acknowledged to us,Перевод автоматический.
- Manou S.June 2014Положительныеlarge pitches very cleanОтрицательныеBad without a car, as shopping facilities are far awayclean campsiteNice quiet campsite - there are sunny and shady pitches. The sanitary facilities are very clean. You can buy bread rolls at the small snack bar - unfortunately there is little choice of food. Unfortunately there were no shopping facilities nearby. The small beach at the campsite was clean and well laid out. We had no problems with our dog on site.Перевод автоматический.
- Frank M.May 2014ПоложительныеLocation, peace and quiet, cleanlinessОтрицательныеThe pitches could be a little bigger.Small great clean campsiteWell-run campsite located directly on Lake Maggiore. The campsite is quiet and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The campsite is sheltered in a small bay. The village of Canero is only a few minutes' walk away. Only a few minutes from the campsite there are beautiful hiking trails into the hinterland. You should allow a little more time for the hikes than indicated. The campsite is definitely recommended.Перевод автоматический.
- Friedbert R.October 2013For me, the most beautiful place on Lake Maggiore, in a great location, quiet, central, small but everything you need within walking distance. I always enjoy spending my vacations at this campsite. I've been coming to Cannero to camp for 30 years now.Перевод автоматический.
- Ute R.June 2012ПоложительныеLocation, car can also take a break. Friendliness.ОтрицательныеToo narrow for large motorhomes/caravans. Clarify exactly what is possible beforehand.Great place with a view over the lake to the mountainsWe were still here with a tent. The tent was large and just fitted on the pitch with the car. The pitches are slightly terraced. So we had a great view of the lake. The campsite is in a beautiful setting. The town of Cannero with its stores and restaurants is within easy walking distance. There were... bread rolls and a few other things to buy at the campsite. A small seating area in front of the kiosk. Beer and wine can be enjoyed here. You can set off directly from the square. Cross the main road and then it's time to gain altitude. The reward is great paths with fantastic views. The Val Grande National Park can only be reached by car, while Switzerland and other places on the lake are easily accessible by boat. For us, this is the most beautiful place on the lake. Lake Maggiore is not suitable for cycling, at least not at this point. The road has to be shared by everyone from trucks to pedestrians.Перевод автоматический.
- Hans S.April 2012Slightly sloping site facing the lake in a beautiful location on the shore, within walking distance of the small historic town worth seeing, suitable for a 2-day transit as well as for a relaxing vacation.Перевод автоматический.
- SNOECK J.March 2012I first went to the Lido campsite in the 1970s and loved it so much. Then every year I came back as a couple and with kids until 2012 ... Camping Lido has evolved and improved every year. Bravo.Перевод автоматический.
- Regula P.October 2011Beautiful, inexpensive, clean, small place. The small store offers everything for daily use and the prices are very fair! The beach is beautiful. The area is also ideal for beautiful walks.Перевод автоматический.
- Jürgen K.May 2010The campsite is beautifully situated on the beach. The pitches are large enough on grass. No problem on the campsite even with a dog. Toilets are kept very clean by the operator. There is a pizzeria next door where you can eat well and cheaply (pizza from 6 euros). The only annoying thing is the nearby church tower, which bangs all night and gives a concert at 7am. Really annoying!!!Перевод автоматический.
