The sanitary facilities are very unkempt (in the lower part the wall tiles are yellow), some of the doors cannot be locked. The operators are very unfriendly and completely overwhelmed.Big failure!Unfortunately, the campsite has no amenities that are considered to be today's standard. The mobile homes and caravans are crammed together on the pitches so that we had to stand window to window. When we complained about this, we were brushed off in a very unfriendly manner. To date we have not received an invoice for our stay. Very nice, well-maintained pitch with new, clean sanitary facilities. There is a small cocktail bar where we were able to watch the World Cup matches. Once a week there was a chicken grill truck that made the WORLD'S BEST chicken!!! (highly... recommended) There is a restaurant on the beach where you can eat well and also get pizza. But there are also good restaurants in Lacona, the price is ok, the food is good. !! The campsite is not really cheap either, but it clearly stands out from the surrounding "cheaper sites". We've been to this campsite several times and the beautiful beach and well-kept grounds have kept us coming back. What I missed every time, however, was that there was virtually no entertainment in Lacona in the evenings. Lacona is simply a small, not really beautiful place where the *dog is buried*. (at least in the low season) If you want to stroll around a bit or eat an ice cream in a curious place, you have to take the car and drive to Capoliveri or Marino di Campo. The electricity is too weak for a kettle. Unfortunately, the advertised Wi-Fi only works at reception. You have to go to the square next door to do your shopping. We stood with our camper van in the 3rd row under a shade, which was very pleasant given the high temperatures. Electricity directly at the pitch, water unfortunately not. The sanitary facilities were all very clean. The café/restaurant... was great, the cappuccino the best in the bay. The water was clean and the beach shallow. However, we have a Womo that contradicts... the statement "no xxl pitches". I gave them a quick call and explained my problem. No problem, there was a pitch that was suitable for my Womo. However, as it is a sunny pitch, I asked for 6 amps for the air conditioning. No problem, they would provide it for me. So we booked in February. We arrived there on 9.8.2015 and received a friendly welcome. The pitch was great and we were told straight away that we should fill up with fresh water at the service station before we set up on the pitch. Great! However, the 6 amps were not yet available. A quick question at reception and within 15 minutes the air conditioning was running tip top!!! We then had a great time. Many longtime guests who come back every year. No major leisure facilities apart from the beach. Mountain biking and hiking are the order of the day in spring and fall. The pitches are large enough. The nearby restaurant right on the beach, which also... offers all dishes to take away, is great. The children's playground is nicely laid out but is getting a bit long in the tooth - as are the toilets (which are cleaned several times a day). The small bar at the campsite is also great and fortunately is now run by the owners themselves. The store at the next campsite (Talinucci) has everything you need - otherwise take the path over the mountain and shop in the large Conad in Portoferraio - there is a large open counter with everything your heart desires. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful (extension cable, Allen key) and invited all guests to a barbecue at the opening of the season! Free rental bikes, organized excursions with the shuttle bus, hikes,... bike tours, a slow train for the little ones and a very good restaurant! Beautiful beach right next to the campsite, shopping at the neighboring market. Sanitary facilities good and tidy, nice bathhouse for the children.
