Otherwise the shine is off. Fenced in by old, weathered caravans and only partially usable sanitary facilities, the "better" pitches are out of reach for caravans. The place itself is small and cozy. The site managers are very nice. Speak good English. However, the sanitary facilities are to be criticized, very unkempt and dirty. There was only one mixed bathroom, which was not cleaned at all. There were garbage... cans in front of the supposed ladies showers. Showers defective and partly not lockable old buildingfriendly owner, unkempt facilityWe wanted to get to know the Bay of Kotor and came across this campsite because it was well rated in the CP guide. We were greeted by the extremely friendly owner who spoke good English. He helped us set up the caravan and gave us useful advice. But then we slowly came to the realization that we wanted... to leave very soon: the toilets were in a disastrous state, both structurally and in terms of cleanliness. Some of the showers were out of order and some could not be locked. There was no privacy screen in the women's washroom and the same room was used for washing dishes! Toilet paper was sometimes available for the men. Almost the entire site was surrounded on its outer perimeter by ancient and rotten, obviously abandoned caravans. It gave us a slight junkyard atmosphere. The positives: 50 m to the concrete beach, restaurant right next door. The toilets and showers are cleaned every day and are well adapted to our western expectations. The owner of the campsite is Uros and he is so welcoming and friendly. He gave us some usefull... tips about what we can visit in the region. He speaks English fluently so this is a big point knowing that this is not the case at most other campings. From the campsite you have a mignificant vieuw on the see with its steep mountains. In front you can diner in the best restaurant of Bijela. We ate there almost every day because not only was the food very delisious, also the vieuw was spectecualar.
