Unfortunately we had problems with our caravan and so we couldn't enjoy the swimming pool and cycling (we'll make up for it!!). However, we did experience the helpfulness and friendliness of the owner and staff. They supported and helped us as much as they could.... Many thanks once again.
What we liked was the way the corona situation was handled. Everything was exemplary, including the information about the current situation.

We had a very nice pitch by the large pond. Very green and quiet to relax. There are several playgrounds and lots to do, especially for children.
The swimming pool is also very nice and there is a good Greek restaurant.
Conclusion: The best campsite for children! The Heidenau vacation center near the A1 is no longer an insider tip, I think. It is a large, well-kept vacation area with short-stay campers, permanent campers... and mobile homes. There really are all kinds here!
We liked the large heated pool the best, you can sit at the Greek restaurant with delicious giros and feel like you're in the south. Really great.
But the children's action pool is also a real hit, we hadn't seen anything like it before. With lights and music and water slides. You can't get the kids out again.

As we had already learned on the phone, we found a sign with a telephone number at reception. We called there and the barrier was opened immediately and the way to the tourist pitches was explained... to us. These were idyllically situated around two fish ponds. We found an electricity connection right next to the site and the sanitary building was modern and very clean. The proximity to the highway probably attracts many short-stay campers and the owners have adapted well to these guests. Some of the pitches can be used as coupled sites. The next morning we were able to buy good bread rolls in the store by the swimming pool. The formalities in the morning were uncomplicated and very friendly. There wasn't much to see of the staff and when there was, it was very unfriendly. I don't want to talk about the tourist pitches... - that was impossible, I've never experienced that before. The sanitary building was still quite passable in comparison but the disposal of faeces was the biggest mess - it was simply tipped into the waste and the remains of the previous campers were still visible on the grate (you wouldn't believe it if you hadn't seen it). The modern swimming pool doesn't really fit into this wilderness. The whole place, with a few exceptions, consists only of permanent campers and I would rename this place a LAUBENPIPER--SIEDLUNG because who wants to spend their vacation in this wilderness? After the arduous 15 km journey😉 we moved into our short-stay camper site, connected the electricity and water and off we went. The great outdoor pool (1 pool) is open even in April and the Greek restaurant is very good. Only a 24-hour stay for us, but it felt like a week. The site is well suited for this as it is close enough to the highway. Unfortunately, the pitches are at the far end of the site and the access roads to the pitches and some permanent pitches look very "unkempt". The pitches on the lake itself are spacious... and well located and make a good impression overall, especially if you are on a short trip. The sanitary facilities could be in much better condition to improve the overall impression... the old building directly on the lake is far too small and doesn't make a good place to stop! The new building has dark damp patches on the ceilings and I fear that this could soon lead to mold - in any case, it doesn't make you feel comfortable. The area for the permanent campers looks much better maintained in large parts and this is probably where the operator's focus lies.
