We spent a short vacation there with our 4 year old and felt very comfortable. Access to the campsite was easy. The size of the site is very pleasant. The really large pitches are partly gravel and partly grass. In heavy rain, this can mean a... deep floor. However, the alternative would be to stand on concrete. Nobody wants that either. From the CP you have a beautiful view of Freudenstadt and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, a high-voltage power line runs above the campsite. This affects one or two pitches. If this bothers you, simply look for a pitch away from it on the satellite image. The barefoot park near the campsite is highly recommended. There is a restaurant on site and you can buy bread rolls at reception. There are also numerous farms in the area that sell their products. Larger shops can be reached in a few minutes. The sanitary facilities were super modern and nice. There is a children's bathroom for the little ones. There is a nice children's playground and a small pool in summer. Wellness and massages are also offered, but we didn't use them. There is a dishwasher and a toilet cassette cleaning machine, which we really liked.
Conclusion:
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, as the complex was well maintained, beautifully situated and the sanitary facilities were modern and clean. We would love to come back. The price-performance ratio was also okay. Our large pitch was easily accessible and clean. The modern sanitary facilities were always clean and everything worked....
The pool was clean and we used it almost every day.
We especially loved the lovely dog Bella, who you just had to cuddle whenever you met her, including in the morning when you picked up the delicious rolls for breakfast.

It's dusty everywhere, on the toilet paper holders trash cans even - which is very disgusting - on the door handles, and the dust... is not just a few days old.....that has accumulated in a few months ... Everything is smeared, you can literally see the bacteria jumping...and you don't really want to touch the handles with your hand...The doors and walls inside the toilets are totally splattered and smeared
This is probably because water is sprayed into the toilet and this water is then everywhere, so when you have "cleaned" you can't go to the toilet until the bowl has dried by itself, you don't know a cloth. The dust that lives on the toilet paper holders, boxes etc. is then a wet dust for an hour, but it dries and then sticks all the better😀
It would also be useful to wipe over the ceilings with a broom once to remove the old cobwebs + animals that are already hanging down
Also, the week we were there was not vacuumed or swept, the stones, leaves, dirt from the first day lay in the shower + and anteroom of the toilet, so that it always crackled nicely when running
I don't usually black anyone but in this case I think it's quite mean to the places that keep their sanitary facilities clean, I wouldn't say anything if the place was rated 2 stars but this place definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars!!! It has a very nice location on the heights above the village with a great view, about 100 meters from the site is the Königskanzel from which you can see from east to west forever.
The owners, the Eiermann family, are very friendly and helpful... in all matters.
The sanitary facilities are very well maintained and always spotlessly clean.
The access roads to the pitches are good, only parking can be a bit tricky and I have had to tell many a desperate caravan driver on campsites in the south that they should do some driving training, but even if that doesn't work, Mr. Eiermann helps.

Depending on the pitch, you can look over the hedges or directly into the valley to Freudenstadt or Dornstetten. The pitches are large, but the access roads are somewhat smaller. The campsite is... larger than indicated on the map on the website. The permanent camper pitches have been cut out. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The sanitary buildings (old and new) are top clean, especially the new building is very commendable! There is no supermarket on the CP, but a great cake and local (limited time).
