As it had been a few years since we last reviewed this site, we wanted to see if anything had changed in the meantime.
Unfortunately, no.
The reception was nice and we were allowed to choose a place on the site.
However, a look at the lower sanitary building made us decide to look for another campsite.

Allegedly because an event was taking place. But that was not the case! For us the price was arbitrary. The place was also not well maintained! Many holes in the paths and in the meadows. But this summer 2015 we were very disappointed. There are numerous dilapidated caravans on the site that are inhabited by obscure people. The sanitary facilities are old and rotten and are besieged by at least 100 if not more Sinti and Roma who are camped in... the rear, not immediately visible part of the campsite. I called from the car during the journey and asked if we could get a pitch. I was given very friendly information in German. On arrival the friendly welcome continued; unfortunately my wife and dog had to leave the reception... immediately as the restaurant and reception are one area. The adjoining supermarket is well stocked and, like the restaurant and reception area, everything looks quite new and very clean. Breakfast is offered from 06.30am to 09.30am (Sunday 07.30am to 10.30am). You rarely see that on a campsite. The pitches are large enough and where we were, they are equipped with electricity (Schuko plug) and water/waste water for 4 pitches each. Unfortunately, I only had 6m of waste water pipe with me and I would have needed 9m. We paid SEK 360 for a caravan, car, 2 adults, 1 dog and electricity. The sanitary buildings (2 of them) are both old and rated correctly in the ADAC camping guide 2015 with 2 out of 5 points. The slightly larger building opposite the reception deserves more points in the tenth range that must be deducted from the lower, smaller building. There is a clear need for improvement in both sanitary buildings. Apart from that, many craftsmen were busy with improvement and renovation work on the entire site, which made a very positive impression on me and confirmed the positive overall feeling. Incidentally, I noticed in the morning that the meadow at the entrance area was very full of motorhomes. After a few meters you have an intoxicating view of the lake from the cliffs and after a few steps of Jönköping. The latter is an experience at night. The campsite itself is expensive. Once you have left the impressive entrance area with little personal... staff behind you, you will find terraced pitches. These are still quite ok. The sanitary block is dirty, smells of urine and is simply an imposition. At least the showers are free. The kitchen area is framed by the men's and women's toilets, which does not whet the appetite in terms of hygiene. The hotplates are broken and there are old cobwebs on the ceiling. Even on cooler days, the garbage area develops a sweet smell of garbage and the disposal point for camper vans was located in a large puddle of apparently undrained water. In addition, you can constantly hear smouldering road noise. A large play area appealed to the children. So far the only plus point apart from the location. The toilets and showers are older and certainly not enough when the site is full. The cleanliness was ok. What was not at all was the cleanliness of the kitchen. Rainhold K.May 2010In 1978, we were in good and friendly hands with our tent on what was then a simple but good site. In May 2010, we were looking forward to seeing it again, but the only positive thing was the reception building and the store, otherwise it was mostly a muddy, dilapidated site. We thought it would be enough... for one night, but ended up in a scrap yard where it didn't look any better in the container sanitary facilities. At 6am the Eastern European 'guest workers' were reloading scrap right next to the tourist pitches! We were the first to leave in the morning, earlier than ever before. Better to drive a few kilometers further than spend the night there. Attached is a photo of one of the sleeping quarters right next to the reception.
