Manfred v.August 2022ПоложительныеThe complex is close to Edinburgh and yet in the countryside. Excursions to the numerous sights in and around Edinburgh are easily possible. If you want, you can take a regional train to Edinburgh. The site is easy to reach and, as is usual on English sites, offers a mix of hardstanding and grass pitches. The site and sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant, but a small kiosk for the essentials. You can explore the region by bike from the campsite. Also ideal for dog owners.ОтрицательныеIf you are sensitive, you will be disturbed by the background noise of Edinburgh Airport. It did not bothered us because it was very quiet. From our point of view, the sanitary facilities could be larger. Three showers are not enough during rush hour.Clean, central squareIdeal base for exploring Edinburgh and the surrounding area. The very clean facility offers everything
for it. Staff very courteous and friendly. The hard pitches, we had booked one, are full service, i.e.
with access to fresh and waste water. The site is spacious and can also be easily accessed by large... caravans and mobile homes.
Late-comers have the opportunity to get electricity in front of the barrier.

Leave car at Park & Ride (ca.5Km) and day ticket on bus for 4 GBPounds. Clean, well maintained site near Union Canal. PIN number to open barrier at night. Play ground area for young children with sheep in next field! Very nice reception. Book early in the high season as it is very busy. Very good and very clean sanitary facilities. Small store at the reception offers the essentials. 29 GBP for motorhome + electric + 2 adults + 2 children is ok. Disadvantage: Edinburgh flight path.... Depending on the direction in which the planes take off, you have landing traffic (hardly disturbing) or take-off traffic, which is loud from 6 am until 11 pm. If you get a parking space on the right-hand side, it is very close to the road, which is very popular with commuters in the morning. The P+R parking lot nearby (Uphall Station) fills up relatively quickly. Better for trips to Edinburgh: Head for the large P+R in Hermiston (approx. 15 minutes' drive from the campsite), from where several bus routes to Edinburgh and other directions depart frequently.Перевод автоматический.
