We received a "rustic" but very warm welcome and were directed to our pitch by phone without any complications.
The catering facilities above the campsite are highly recommended! We were initially skeptical due to the wide... range of dishes on the menu (pizza, German cuisine, Greek dishes...), wondering whether they had a lot to offer but didn't really master any of it. BUT: we were proved wrong, everything was really delicious and there was a fantastic view over Lake Sorpe for free. However, you should book in advance.
You can hire boats to paddle across the lake, and you can also go walking there (although unfortunately the dying forest has also arrived there in the meantime).
The sanitary facilities, on the other hand, are totally outdated, but at least they are clean. We don't think that the local authority, as the operator of this campsite, will invest much more in this respect, as the pitches are increasingly giving way to vacation homes, which is really unfortunate for us as seasonal campers.

The Nordic family park is located directly on Lake Sorpe and is particularly popular with families, couples and sporty guests.
There is a volleyball court here and the outdoor center with its high ropes course is right next to it.

Sailing and fishing boat rental on site, restaurant "Meilenweit" tasty and nice, incl. bread service on order. Showers and washbasins old but clean, the latter only with cold water. WC renovated, clean and good.... Camping toilet disposal is also available. Everything within easy reach, short distances. The water is very stony and partly mixed with broken glass - be careful with dogs and children. It was a bit noisy as you are directly below the road, but only during the day. The toilet block was cleaned well, but unfortunately the campers themselves... are the ones who mess it up. Swimming is tolerated, but too rocky, lido was too far for me, was certainly also full. The staff were always very nice and helpful. The location also leaves nothing to be desired. The sanitary facilities are hopelessly outdated, the pitches are partly on a slope and therefore totally crooked and there is... no disposal facility for the chemical toilets. The shore of the lake is very stony and the water is often difficult to reach, depending on the water level of the reservoir. There are no shopping facilities on site, apart from ice cream, confectionery etc.. On the other hand, the restaurant is really good, both for sitting and enjoying and for eating. So if you don't expect too much and just want to get out and about, this is the place for you!Перевод автоматический.
