Between the towns of Opheusden and Kesteren, in the centre of the Dutch region of Betuwe, lies Recreatiepark De Markplas. This is a holiday park with a wide range of facilities and old fruit trees on the grounds, which are …so typical of this area. More than a third of the grounds are water, so there are numerous opportunities for swimming, boating and fishing. Good to know: Sunday rest is still observed at this campsite, so arrivals and departures are not possible on this day. Spacious pitches and luxurious accommodation: The well-kept holiday park has paved paths leading to the accommodations and spacious pitches. The pitches are flat and grassy. There are paved areas for motorhomes and caravans. It is possible to book a pitch with its own sanitary facilities. If you are looking for rental accommodation, you can choose between a luxurious holiday home and a safari tent, designed for two to eight people. Swimming fun in the lake and hiking with alpacas: a lot happens at this campsite around the lake. You can go fishing, take a stand-up paddle board or glide across the water in a boat. On warm summer days, it's wonderful to swim and sunbathe here. If you're looking for an activity out of the water, take a walk with the alpacas that live on the premises. End your day at the restaurant. You'll find Molen De Zwaluw just a five-minute walk from the campsite.
