"Cause of caping - We had a good weekend overall. But there are things that can be done better. The place we had tilted to all holes did not get the cart flat so we had to lie with a slope. Wi-Fi does not work. Poor reception on the mobile so Wi-Fi is a must. But a good rating on the restaurant.

"Quite nice, but loud and cramped - We spent 9 days on this site. It was very noisy on arrival (very crowded, lots of people, live music in the restaurant), but fortunately it quietened down a bit. What bothered us was the somewhat unkempt impression you get when you walk through the grounds. In particular, the area between the petting zoo and the restaurant could be tidied up more often or why do you have to store old stuff like chairs, broken canoes or fence elements next to the restaurant? The seating area in front of the reception was also uninviting because the tables were mostly dirty. And the seats around the petting zoo suffered from the unpleasant smell. You also have little privacy as you stand close together and there are lots of people around, also because the beach is a public bathing beach. We briefly considered whether we should look for another place, but as we were traveling a lot and there were also advantages, we stayed. For example, the sanitary block was very new and clean, the kitchen was well equipped for everyone to use, the staff are very friendly, there is a store that offers everything a camper needs and the location by the lake is really nice, you can even find quiet corners in the evenings and mornings. All in all, I would say that the site is really suitable for families with children (lake, mini golf, fun pool, ice cream parlor, petting zoo, jumping pillow, paddle tennis, fitness facility). For us, the place was just too big, too crowded and too loud, but that's personal preference. We especially enjoyed the excursions to Trollhättan, Uddevalla and the Hunneberg. The forest path along the lake to Vänersborg is also very beautiful. And by the way, the campsite also offers a regular shuttle to Vänersborg on a little train.

"Too much hustle and bustle - Basically a beautifully situated place that loses value due to many factors. These include (in our time) a much too small sanitary building, the public access to the beach that goes right through the middle of the square, loud in the evening, eternal party and loud music. Who likes it o.k. We ended our visit after one day and got back the money we had already paid for the 2nd day. At around €34/day, it was one of the most expensive places we visited.

"Large, confusing campsite - This is the right place for anyone who likes a good time! However, not recommended for those seeking peace and quiet. Even in the low season, we were bombarded with loud music late into the night. And although many travel guides say that moose can often be seen here, let's be honest, with such loud music that can still be heard even in the middle of the forest, every moose runs away

"good place by the lake - Direct access to the lake with bathing trans (public), nice snack bar/restaurant at the lake with civil prices (Swedish standards), we had a marginal pitch, that was good; pitches partly quite narrow and close together, sanitary facilities in order and clean, many extras for a fee (water slide for children, mini golf, boat...).

Ursands Camping is nicely located by the lake Vänern, about 3 km north of Vänersborg. Here at our camping is a nice beach where you can go swimming, or if you like fishing you can walk down to the lake …and try your fishing skills. There are excellent running tracks in the forest where you can go running, or why not go for a relaxing walk in the forest and enjoy the tranquility swedish natur has to offer. Have a go at our mini-golf circuit or let your children play at our large playground. There is a grocery store at our camping area, or why not try the restaurant and café which have full service bar. Halle- and Hunneberg, together with Vänerparkens public water theme park are close and fun day trip destinations. Welcome to a family friendly Ursand!
