We received the succinct answer that we had to cancel 45 days before the T and that a refund of our deposit of €115 was therefore not possible. When I set up, I find dog excrement, cigarette butts, dog chewing sticks and crown lids from the previous person.
I approached reception: There's nothing we can do. We have an extra... note in the description that the place is to be left clean.
Cleaning ?? No way! No, if then do it yourself.
An imposition for a 5 star place.
No recommendation.
Of course the restaurant is also closed. Only open from Wednesday.
If open only with reservation.

And the tone with which we were treated on departure today was annoying. In response to a friendly question, we were only shown the terms and conditions, unfriendly and not at all solution-oriented.

Xy X.October 2022PozitivnoLocation at the AlpseeNegativno?Square with lake and mountain viewsThe Wellness Camping am Alpsee looks as if it was redesigned a few years ago.
The reception building has a modern design. On the first floor you will find the reception and a lounge, as well as information documents about the surrounding area and all the sanitary facilities. On the upper floor there... is a sauna and relaxation room and a small swimming pool, which is located above the restaurant and camping store. The restaurant was not open during our stay. The kiosk sells various magazines and newspapers, fresh vegetables and baked goods as well as drinks.
Although we had a pitch in the first row of pitches by the lake, we were separated from it and the lake path in between by a fence, so we were able to access the lake through the central gate like all the other campsite guests. Consequently, you don't necessarily need a pitch right by the lake. The sanitary facilities were always sour during our stay, they are quite new and modern but basically standard, nothing more but also nothing less.
There are various hiking and cycling trails directly from the site, some of which we made use of. Pool availableNegativnoQuite full and sometimes narrow spaces, no privacy, no privacy No gastronomyGreat location by the lakeWe were on our return journey and booked this site for an overnight stopover because we were curious about this 5*star campsite. We had just returned from our vacation in South Tyrol from a fantastic 5*star camping resort and were visibly disappointed here. The site is impressive because of its location... on the lake and its cleanliness, but a five-star classification for this alone is simply not justified. At best 4* stars.
The "sanitary building" is clean but totally tasteless, a "better" hall with large, black pipes under the ceiling. Unfortunately the private bathrooms were fully booked, I would have liked to have had a look. The site was quite full and everything was "paved over" with motorhomes, caravans and tents. Close together and therefore unfortunately no privacy.
We wanted to try out the restaurant, but no luck. No cook available and therefore closed until further notice. The kiosk is overpriced, but has a nice assortment.
1 night / 2 adults / 3 dogs 79€ I'll leave it at that.

The reception is nice and friendly.
The pitch is nicely laid out with separation by bushes.
However, with a larger caravan (mine is 8 meters) I can imagine that it could be quite tight....
Depending on where you stand, the location is very nice with a direct view of the Alpsee.
The site is right on the footpath by the Alpsee, which creates a special atmosphere as you can watch the sunset from the site in the evening.
I didn't use the wellness area.
All in all, a lovely week with a high relaxation factor. Hiking options are easily accessible on foot, or alternatively after a few minutes by bike/car.

Was... nun? Wir haben uns trotzdem entschieden zu bleiben und die teuren 46 EUR pro Nacht zu bezahlen. Wir haben dann das sonnige Wochenende genossen,aber es war einfach zu voll und wo zu viele Menschen auf einem Platz sind, leidet die Erholung.

Otherwise, the kiosk offers a small selection... of food, drinks and toiletries. The infinity pool has a great view over the campsite and the lake. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. But this is manageable and I assume that modernization work will also be carried out here.It is definitely a 5 star place!We were very positively surprised, as many reviews were probably before the modernization. Restaurant, wellness area, store, sanitary facilities, staff etc., really everything was great. We will definitely be back as we can combine hiking, cycling and SUP.
