- Gu B.May 2024PozitivnoBus stop directly in front of the campsite, nice friendly staff, beautiful large site, surrounded by a large parkNegativnoonly worthwhile for trips to DublinA good place to visit DublinGreat place near Dublin.
Staff all very nice and helpful.
Surroundings are great for a walk.
Little infrastructure.Samodejno prevedeno. - Peter K.September 2023PozitivnoVery large pitches with their own electricity, water and waste water connections, Asphalted pitches, large showers with really hot water, Lienbus stop in front of the campsite, Hop on hop off bus to Dublin departs from reception in the morning and returns from Dublin at 16:00NegativnoThe prices criticized in other reviews are unjustified. The pitch is within the absolute average of all pitches visited in the last three weeks.Ideal for large caravans and motorhomesWe can't understand the sometimes negative reviews. After 3 weeks on the island by car and large caravan, we can say that the campsite is definitely one of the best. Road noise is not audible in the caravan, but it may be different in the tent. We don't really care whether the sanitary buildings are... old or new, the main thing is that they are clean! There is no reason to complain in this respect. The water in the large showers is almost too hot and of course good for washing up.
The pitches are well maintained, the lawns are mowed and the hedges trimmed.
Incidentally, the pitches are big enough for large caravans with awnings. The car can still be parked easily. All in all, we are very satisfied and feel very comfortable here this week.Samodejno prevedeno. - Herr D.July 2023PozitivnoLarge plots Friendly staff Good connection to the bus to Dublin (travel time approx. 50 minutes)NegativnoNo WLAN Showers cost extra and are rarely with hot water Expensive, pitch with 3 persons 50€ Traffic noise from the highwayJust about okay, poor price-performance ratioThe site is well suited for a Dublin trip, with some restrictions on comfort. Unfortunately, it is no longer up to date, with WLAN only in reception and outdated sanitary facilities. The site is therefore simply too expensive.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Mobie V.March 2020PozitivnoStaff / Transport / FacilitiesNegativnoRabbitsShort StayWe found the staff to be super helpful and the facilities very good. Transport to the city is a doddle.
- Antonio F.July 2019PozitivnoconvenientNegativnononeGREAT FOR VISITS TO DUBLINCampground positioned for visits to Dublin. Bus stop outside campsite (45min);ticket only with coins!!! Spacious campsite well organized for the many guests.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Martina H.June 2019PozitivnoSuper pitchesNegativnoNot exactly cheap and a bit too loud, not the best sanitary buildingHuge beautiful pitchesAnd that's about it. Well suited as a starting point for Dublin tours, as a bus leaves from in front of the campsite. It is relatively noisy due to the large road nearby, but this only bothers you if you spend the whole day there. The sanitary facilities are not very appealing, although there are plenty... of them. 30 € + 2 € for the shower is a steep price, but because of the location there are hardly any alternatives for visits to Dublin. Showers are roaring hot, unfortunately you can't regulate the water temperature! Everything is pretty outdated. As mentioned at the beginning, great large pitches with hedges.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Günter K.May 2017PozitivnoClose to the city. Bus in front of the entrance.NegativnoSanitary in need of renovation and too expensive.Ideal for visiting DublinThe site is located right next to the highway to Cork. The traffic noise is audible throughout the site. The sanitary facilities are no longer up to date and at €2 per shower are far too expensive! The pitches are asphalted and bordered by hedges. Each pitch has electricity and waste water. 5€ for electricity a bit expensive.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Thomas S.August 2015good placeGood, very clean site near Dublin. Ideal for sightseeing Dublin. Good shopping facilities nearby. Store could be much better equipped in terms of camping items.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Bernhard K.June 2015PozitivnoBus connections to the city center, free WifiNegativnoTraffic noise near the street, technology in the sanitary area and Wifi susceptible to interferenceGood for visits to DublinAlthough the square is a little out of the way, the bus stop directly in front of the square makes it ideal for Dublin visitors. The hop-on hop-off bus also picks up guests directly from the square in the morning. The street noise in the rear area is no longer disturbing. Those looking for a bit of peace... and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the city will find it in the directly adjacent Corkagh Park. The site is spacious with partly parceled out pitches. The sanitary facilities are average and unfortunately you need shower coins for the showers. It was particularly annoying during our visit that no hot water came out of the shower after inserting coins (boiler breakdown). Wifi is free, but often overloaded or unavailable for other reasons.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Harry R.August 2014PozitivnoLocationGood to go to DublinThe campsite is located on the highway, but is still not noisy and suitable for visitors to Dublin. We stayed with 3 children and a tent: everything was great.Samodejno prevedeno.
- pe z.June 2013Beautifully laid out site with large pitches, clean sanitary facilities, bus stops at the site,Samodejno prevedeno.
- M. W.May 2013Execelent, fast & cheap connection to Dublin. Easy to reach, shopping malls in surroudning. A bit noisy from traffic if you are on the top side. Otherwise great for visiting the city and surrounding area of Dublin / East IerlandSamodejno prevedeno.
- Andreas B.September 2011The place itself was very good, also suitable for large motorhomes and caravans.the location is actually quite good because it is almost dierekt on the highway.unfortunately you hear this from time to time, but if the stellplatzt is in the back area is actually no longer a problem.behind the square is... a huge park.to the nearest supermarket (similar to "real") it is about 5 minutes by car. An Aldi is about 1 km down the road. From the morning (about 10 am) comes the "Hopp on,Hopp" bus that goes directly to Dublin and back in the evening around 5 pm. The toilets were not the newest but quite ok, which unfortunately could not be said of the shower cubicles, except for the disabled shower which was ok. But all in all a nice campsite from which you can get everywhere quite wellSamodejno prevedeno.
- Sibylle H.October 2010The place is very nice, the staff nice and helpful, the location in front of Dublin ideal to explore the city (bus often leaves 50 meters from the entrance) on the other hand you are also fast - by car in the very worth seeing countryside.Samodejno prevedeno.
