"Successful vacation, beautiful CP - We were there for 2 weeks with a camper van. We arrived spontaneously without booking in advance and were shown a nice selection of available pitches before we made our decision. Our pitch was deliberately by the fence with a direct view of the lake but without trees. So we worked with the shade of our camper van. And that was good, because it was peak season and therefore very hot. The campsite is mixed with tents, Womos and Wowas. There were mobile lodges with terraces in the back row. Vacation apartments and cottages were at the back of the campsite with modernized sanitary facilities and washing machines. These accommodations had a shorter distance to the supermarket, which was located directly on the street and offered everything but on a small scale, including fresh bread, vegetables, meat, cold cuts and cheese. The hotel rooms were located above the restaurant = reception. The simple sanitary facilities on the beach were cleaned daily in the morning and were therefore clean. There was always enough toilet paper. In front of the beach sanitary facilities there were rinsing and washing facilities, also for dogs. There is a good bar on the beach right next to the campsite with homemade ice cream (max. 6 flavors in daily rotation, at least 3 types of fruit ice cream). The restaurant in the hotel offers an "all you can eat" buffet every day from Tuesday to Sunday for 10-15 EUR, drinks separately. Simple Italian home cooking cooked with love. The cook also shares recipes. Sufficient salad buffet, at least 2 different pasta dishes. Sufficient salad buffet, at least 2 pasta dishes, fresh vegetables, French fries, fresh pizzas (pre-sliced), pudding desserts, cake desserts and/or ice cream from the ice cream counter. 15 EUR were usually charged on Fridays because of the fish dishes. Sorico is a village with 1 petrol station, 1 small supermarket, 1 bakery, 2 pizzerias (we recommend Biffi on the market square), 1 pub and 1 tabbacheria. The northern end of Lake Como is 10 km away, where you can also swim for miles and miles, although the lake at the campsite is also nice to swim in, but this year unfortunately struggled with heavy aquatic vegetation from the beginning of August. However, mowing vehicles were used to cut off the plants. It's just a narrow lake. There are well-maintained cycle paths around the lake, making it easy to make trips to neighboring villages. Every Friday there is a party in the beach bar at the campsite, where music is played until around midnight. However, we didn't find this disturbing and we stood right next to it. The audience/travelers are very international. Many Dutch, Germans, French and Swiss, but also Italians. Dogs are welcome and are also allowed to swim in the lake.

" - The campsite is beautiful and there is plenty of shade. However, the staff is unfriendly. At the buffet, the apperto (martini etc...) was already cleared away at half time, even though I went to eat at 19:45. Buffet is from 19:00 to 21:00 and costs 15€ without a drink. A bit too much because there's nothing special. Motto:The main thing is to eat..... Campsite: Very good Restaurant: Sufficient Staff: Well, I won't go there again.

" - Zuerst als Info: ich habe gearbeitet dort, bin nicht ganz unbefangen. Aber: der letzte Rezensent hat die Sanitäranlagen anscheinend nicht gefunden. Unser Fehler, weil er den Plan nicht erhalten oder nicht verstanden hat, aber er war nur in den einfachen Duschen am Strand, oh je!!! Es gibt auch Richtige, seid sicher!

" - A beautifully situated campsite right at the mouth of Lake Como. The pitches are really beautiful in the first and second row to the lake on a level meadow under shady trees and are large enough so that nobody has to feel cramped. Only a pretty promenade separates the campsite from the lake. The campsite is a little away from the main road on the western shore of Lake Como, so that the noise of cars is only muffled. The sanitary facilities are a bit adventurous: there is a kind of barrack with toilets and showers; the showers are only equipped with a kind of "saloon doors" that allow a view of the lake while showering. All unheated, of course, but the water is warm. There are additional toilets at the hotel. When we camped there, there was no cleaning at any time (it was 5 nights after all). We also got a fair price for this, so we don't want to complain. At peak season prices, however, the price-performance ratio with these sanitary facilities would not be right for me. The campsite operator is very nice, attentive and courteous. All in all a nice place!

" - We liked the campsite. Great length, clean, friendly people. Unfortunately, there was a strange dance evening on Tuesday evening that was hardly used and there was no opportunity for the campground residents to have any peace and quiet before midnight. We found that annoying. This year we'll try out the Bugalows. We are curious. :-)
