There are many people here who have been coming here for decades.
I wouldn't come here in the high season. The place is just too full. around the days of August 15th, the site was heavily occupied, the Corona measures were not observed and no measures were taken by the site operators to improve this situation.
The condition of the sanitary facilities can only be described as disastrous. None of the toilets could be used... because of the waste left behind.
On several occasions, the square was filled with loud noise until midnight due to the cinema being moved outside.
The most serious problem, however, is that an excessive number of dog owners let their animals bark day and night, and people passing by are growled at and barked at aggressively by the dogs. The dogs' droppings can be seen everywhere, even on the beach where children are playing.
Although it is forbidden, dog owners take their animals to the beach and into the water.
Unfortunately, no measures have been taken by the operator in this regard.
There is broken glass and shards of glass on the beach and in the water, which my son and others have injured themselves on.
The power supply has also deteriorated in recent years, with the result that campers' fuses are constantly blowing.
In the restaurant on the campsite, we witnessed the manager repeatedly insulting her staff, and the restaurant was repeatedly unable to deliver the dishes we ordered correctly.
The employees of the campsite speed around the site on their scooters and vehicles as if they were on public roads.
Unfortunately, the many complaints at reception have not led to any improvement in the situation!
Due to the shortcomings listed here and others, we have decided to leave this review to remind the campsite operator to restore this beautiful place to the original state we found it in on our first visit.

Since pets have been allowed, unlike in the past, you are constantly confronted with barking and ugly dogs whose owners don't think it necessary to clean up their pets' mess. They don't even do it... openly, so that you could at least confront them, but secretly: in any case, there are far too many unpleasant and smelly piles of dirt on and around the campsite. And the animals are not forbidden to go into the lake. All three points (barking, piles of excrement, use of the lake) are an unbelievable imposition for the other guests and the reason for this poor rating. What is also an enormous noise nuisance are the action films that are played on the campsite's Dolby Surround system on some evenings, sometimes until after midnight, with the volume turned all the way up - or so it seems. And the whole spectacle for perhaps 20 spectators, half of whom are children who don't follow the action on the screen anyway. As other reviewers have already written here, you need a lot of tolerance in this place! Badly done, very badly done! We cannot recommend this campsite to anyone!Samodejno prevedeno.

The staff are friendly and multilingual. The site and the sanitary facilities are kept very clean. There are more than 20 washing-up areas, but only 4 of them have (lukewarm) hot water (2 of which were defective and... blocked). With this solution, a hot water connection would only be more convenient for fetching water, because inconsiderate campers set themselves up for washing up at the places with hot water and everyone else then has to wait for hot water. The pitches are a bit small for a caravan, awning and car. If the pitch is full and the neighboring pitch cannot be used as a parking space, there is a parking space outside (locked and guarded?). All waste disposal (chemical toilet, but also garbage) is also outside, in front of the pitch. The supermarket is extremely well stocked, the pizza in the campsite's own pizzeria is ok. Unfortunately, at the end of August there is entertainment several times a week with loud music until around midnight, which includes our tolerance. Young people also meet in the evenings and make quite a racket until well after midnight. The site is also not particularly quiet overall because it is very large (many large families, people walking across the pitch and even across the awning carpet, leaf blowers, paths are regularly moistened with water by a tractor to combat the dust).Samodejno prevedeno.

The sanitary facilities were very clean. Great location right on the lake. The next day a lovely walk along the lake to Bolsena (approx. 30 minutes). Small Italian town well worth seeing. We were right by the lake under the trees. It's absolutely quiet here. Of course, the lake was still quite cold. September should be ideal for swimming, when the site is already empty again. The wash house is super nice and functional. There... is a tennis court and probably also entertainment for the children in summer. Bolsena is a small medieval town that can be reached on foot via a path along the beach. Orivieto and other medieval towns nearby are also worth a visit. A trip to Saturnia should not be missed either, here you pass through Pitigliano. Bolsena is also a great place to eat (Super Pizzeria Verde Luna)Samodejno prevedeno.

The positive things first: beautiful location of the site directly on the lake, with nice bathing opportunities and some leisure facilities and very well-kept sanitary facilities. However, there is only a hint of warm water... for washing up. Unfortunately, you are received like a piece of merchandise, sent from the office to reception and then back again. There is hardly any information about the campsite, not even that the beautiful pitches are already rented out by a private landlord. Swimming pool and hot showers cost extra, 10 card for swimming pool gives discount. At the weekend it was extremely loud with a barbecue party at 1:00 am. No security service on the site. We arrived without a reservation and rented a mobile home on site for 10 days. The reception was very friendly. The lady showed us what the mobile home looked like inside and we were then able to decide whether we liked it. As it is still very quiet at... this time of year, we were able to choose which mobile home we wanted. It was very clean and tidy. We stayed in the de luxe. Everything we needed was there. We used the air conditioning as heating, which worked really well. The site was still relatively empty at this time. The supermarket was not yet fully stocked, but we got everything we needed for breakfast. Including fresh Italian bread rolls and cornetti for breakfast. We always buy everything else in the small local stores anyway. The beach is very nice. You can lie in the sand or on the grass. We were usually almost alone. The lake is a dream anyway. There are lots of cultural and sightseeing opportunities from the campsite. Whether by car or by bike. The pizza in the restaurant on the campsite was very good. The pitches are large enough, flat and shaded by large trees. There are several very idyllic stretches of beach with palm trees, dark volcanic sand and impressive sunsets. There are various sports facilities, a children's playground, a modern movie... theater and a well-stocked supermarket. The restaurant offers delicious pizza and pasta and you have the option of eating directly on the beach. Until August 15 on Ferragosto, you can experience real Italian flair with everything that goes with it. Twice a week there is a show program with dancing and music for young and old. The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean, including an area for small children. On the negative side, we noticed the lack of electricity, there are too few drinking water points and you need shower coins to shower. Conclusion: Once you've been there, you'll always come back to Lido Camping Village! The pitches are big enough for our small caravan (in May for any size, as there are very few campers there at the time) and shady, which is more important in... summer. The sanitary block is very good, it's also nice that the entrance doors open and close automatically in cool weather and the block is heated. However, selling "Gettoni" for the showers is no longer in keeping with the times! The supply on the pitch was passable (small supermarket), but in the low season there are often restrictions in this respect. Martin E.August 2012Nicely situated site under trees directly on the lake. Pitches unsuitable for larger campers. Pitches mostly uneven. Large campers are parked on the edge, directly in the sun. With max. 3A power supply, you have to get through the morning without espresso and the whole day without air conditioning. Overloud dico music (65 dB!) on the pitch until 00:15 at night. The centrally located sanitary facilities are clean - unfortunately a bit far from the beach areas. Good supermarket. Restaurant is disastrous. - Oliver S.August 2010Nice shady place directly on the lake with very good clean sanitary facilities, but showers for a fee. A Gettone for 50 cents is just enough. Our toddlers both felt very comfortable so we stayed here for a week. Playground OK, swimming in the warm lake, surfing well. Not really suitable for cycling,... unfortunately the recommended tours are not signposted, so you often get lost. However, the lakeside path to Bolsena is very beautiful and even possible with a bike trailer. Excursion tips: Orvieto, Bagnoregio, Bolsena. Top pizzeria on the access road to the campsite !!!Samodejno prevedeno.
