Ulrike K.August 2024Pozitivno- free choice of parking space - very nice uncomplicated operators - Restaurant on site (Airnah), the prices are absolutely ok! - beautiful cycle paths - good price/performance ratio - fresh bread rolls (exception: not on the day of rest) - clean siteNegativno- this rather small campsite tends not to be for tall people - wifi available everywhere on the site, but was quite weak (mobile reception worked in all 3 networks) - the wash house is a bit further away (where the permanent campers are), showers and toilets are separate, which I personally like. The toilet house is a bit outdated, but still ok and clean (the shower area seems to have been renovated) - For the electricity you have to have some small change with you to buy it at a column. Prices per kWh are ok. - One road is currently closed, as the bypass runs directly past the campsite, it is a bit noisy.Absolutely okWe were able to use the paddle boats at the pedal boat rental, where they were very nice to us. However, the forebay is boring for paddling and we couldn't go to the main lake due to the water level.
There is also a bakery near the campsite (Heimathafen Grote). This is perfect for children.
The campsite itself is right next to a restaurant and pedal boat hire.
A small supermarket, a swimming pool and a sauna are in the immediate vicinity.

The operators are very nice. A small store on site. The breakfast buffet and the other dishes are 1A. Children and dog friendly. Free WLan. Many leisure activities, including pedal boating, table tennis, hiking and walking, cycling etc.NegativnoI wouldn't know anything about that.Wonderful!As I mentioned above, we were completely satisfied. We had a beautiful view of the lake, nice neighbors and friendly operators. The breakfast buffet and the other dishes were excellent. Both in terms of quantity and quality. The sanitary facilities were clean and well maintained. To my knowledge, they... were also open around the clock. There was a small store on the site where you could buy the essentials. There were also small trolleys available so that you didn't have to lug the gas bottles around when changing.
Various leisure activities were very easy to pursue here. I really enjoyed the pedal boat ride, for example. The walking paths around the reservoir are also well maintained and offer an interesting change of pace.
I would say there is something for everyone. Families with children and/or dogs should also get their money's worth here. To summarize: - Dirty - unkempt - noisy - Expensive - Catastrophic price/performance ratioLoveless Dirty facility/ Only designed for one-time visitorsThis pitch is by far the worst I have ever had to experience. The new area created in 2017 for short-term campers is a joke: - Uneven gravel pitches - Water and electricity only for an extra charge with a coin slot - Dirty and broken toilets - No soap, no paper.... simply nothing! -8-minute shower with... coin slot. -Attention early risers or evening showerers: after 4 minutes the light goes out and you have to walk naked through the shower house to activate the motion detector. - Horrendous prices (approx. 30€ for 2 adults + dog) -Unfavorably noisy location of the short-term pitches (right next to the main road to the dam, and surrounded by heavily frequented parking lots)Samodejno prevedeno.- Michael G.May 2015Pozitivno-quiet location -nice staff -the restaurant with beer garden is very cozy and has pleasant pricesVery pleasant!We stayed at this campsite for 3 nights over Whitsun 2015. At first I had reservations as the pitch was on a large meadow with gravel paths. However, these were completely unfounded! There is plenty of space available! There are plenty of electricity connections, but you have to get fresh water from... the tap. We had a great view of the lake and the dam. However, you should take care of rock pegs beforehand, otherwise you will have a problem! The sanitary facilities are relatively new and were always clean. You have to bring your own toilet paper. You have to buy tokens for showering and washing up. The time for washing up could be a bit more generous!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Petra B.June 2012Separate pitch that resembles a redesigned meadow. The site is located above Lake Sorpe, which cannot be seen, right next to the permanent campers' parking lot and on a slope. This tourist site is deliberately and well separated from the many permanent campers. There are few electricity connections and... no water at the site. The site is partially leveled for motorhomes. There are two sanitary buildings on the permanent camp site, an old, dirty one and a newer, somewhat cleaner one. The chemical toilets in the old building are not easy to use as there is no hose on the tap to flush everything out. The groundskeeper commented on the suggestion to install a hose with the words: "A good camper always has a hose with him" (for the chemical toilet????) Overall, this place is out of proportion to the costs, especially since showers, dishwashing costs extra and there was not even paper, let alone soap or paper towels in the toilets. Well, we won't be staying there again.Samodejno prevedeno.
