"A C-PL. with a view - A good, clean site at an altitude of approx. 420 m on the outskirts of Navajes. Womo and trailer pitches are mainly to be used "upstairs". There you can enjoy the wind and sun (under a tarpaulin roof). Swimming pool is large and well used. Many permanent campers. We did not use the restaurant. The town with train station for Valencia and old town are about a 10-minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants and mercados in the town. The site is well frequented.

" - An interesting area that is well worth a detour. If you want to get away from the big Spanish cities for a while, Navajas is well worth a visit. The pitches are partly shady and partly very sunny (new part of the site). The pitches are also quite small and can be reached via a steep access road. The sanitary facilities are not nice - at least those on the old part of the site. The site is dominated by permanent campers. According to the signposts, the site seems to be a good starting point for cyclists. As described, the site is not a jewel, but the rural region is not to be sneezed at. The village has a traditional feel and is not at all impressed by tourism. It also has a train connection to Valencia.

Profil

The Altomira campsite is located between the Espadán and Calderona natural parks, 25 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea. The pitches are located in the upper part of the campsite. They are laid out in terraces with views of the Palancia …river valley and the mountains of the Sierra Espadán nature reserve. The pitches are between 60 and 100 m2 in size. They have electricity and water connections. Our pitches are prepared for rain so that no puddles form. The ground is heavily compacted to prevent mud. The pitches are filled with round-grain gravel to avoid injuries. We recommend bringing tent nails for hard ground. Tent nails can also be requested at reception. Just 50 metres from the campsite, in the municipal sports centre in Navajas, you will find the following facilities: tennis court, front tennis, basketball and indoor football. The restaurant in Navajas – Altomira has a calm and relaxed atmosphere. In its spacious dining room, you can enjoy very good lunches and dinners. On the menu, you will find everything from the best and most varied rice dishes, which have made the restaurant famous in the region, to the best grilled meats, a variety of fish and some of their specialities. We also have a cafeteria with a table for breakfast, lunch or tapas; as well as two outdoor terraces and a large and fun playground where the little ones can play and have fun to their heart's content. There is a lovely swimming pool with a separate pool for toddlers (50 cm deep), surrounded by sun loungers. Here you can relax in the shade of the pine trees. Children can also enjoy themselves in a play and sports area. There is also an entertainment programme in high season. Excursions and guided walks are also offered. From the campsite, there are some lovely walking and cycling routes along the so-called ‘camis verdes’, paved paths over former narrow-gauge railways for mining. There is a bicycle repair shop for camping guests with their own bicycles. Very handy if your bike needs repairing.
