The welcome was friendly. We were accompanied by the groundsman onto the pitch, which looked more like a field after all the rain. At first I thought to myself, that's just the way it is, it's rained a lot. But later I saw that there were also dry pitches... with intact grass. From then on, my mood sank. Obviously they don't attach any importance to giving new guests a nice pitch. We were standing by the lake, but that was it.
After I had booked and paid for the pitch, I received a new invoice some time later with a higher rental price. I found this a little strange, as I had accepted the offer at the old prices. Presumably they wanted to skim off the cream after the other campsite in Krautsand was to be sold and was therefore closed.
The sanitary blocks are a bit outdated, but were always clean. The walls were newly tiled.
In the showers there is no place to put the soap.
The water at the washbasins and also at the sink is only lukewarm even after a long time. In the toilets, parts of the lock on the cubicle doors are broken off.

We would like to take this opportunity to comment again:
- the fact that it takes a while for hot water to arrive at the outside washbasins for washing up is normal due to the slightly longer distance from the heating system of the sanitary building to the washbasins. There would also have... been options for washing up inside the building
- Our sanitary buildings are a bit older, yes. Nevertheless, we always try to keep them clean and to counteract the renovation backlog that has built up.

Our expansion plan for the next 3 years includes a power supply close to the site, as we are making every effort to improve the current situation.
A disposal facility outside the side... building is also planned.

However, the individual briefing quickly had a sufficiently dry pitch ready, which subsequently turned out to be spacious and very well located.
The check-in organization could certainly be improved in view of the long queue after the lunch... break.
The sanitary facilities are clearly getting on in years, but were always clean and well maintained as far as the structural conditions allowed. If you are looking for luxury camping, this is not the place for you, but for those with many years of camping experience it is a nice place with a large bathing lake in the middle and a short walk to the Elbe dyke and Krautsand.

This year we spent 2 weeks at the CP am Leuchtturm and were in no way disappointed. Starting with the check-in, the allocation of our pitches, as well as the daily interaction, the staff was always available and... approachable.
Our pitches (we were on site with 5 camper vans)
had a sufficient size, the electricity connection was close by, only the water had to be fetched with canisters. But that didn't detract from the experience.
The close proximity to the Elbe is ideal for long walks with or without your dog, and the dog beach is directly accessible via the dyke.
Cycling tours on great cycle paths are also possible.
There is a small store on the campsite where you can order bread rolls and buy everyday necessities, and there is also a restaurant, so there was nothing to complain about here either.

The complex is getting on in years. Initial work has begun, but unfortunately it still seems a bit lacking in concept. On arrival we parked in the parking lot instead of stopping at the stop sign. The boss drew our attention to this by saying "that wasn't... so clever".
We had booked 3 spaces for three caravans. The reservation confirmation even showed the space numbers. The senior then wanted to put us in one seat. We then pointed out our booking to him. The answer was really amusing. Paper is patient, they don't have that many seats, we would have to accept that. This would have been the right time to go home! But we met up with friends and then grudgingly shared 2 seats. But we actually had to pay for 3 pitches.
The driveways and some of the pitches are paved with the cheapest recycled building materials, including screws and nails. There is a lot of dust and screws are not compatible with tires.
The wash houses are old and not particularly clean. One wash house was closed due to water damage.
Bread rolls can be ordered until 4pm. However, at 15:45 we were told quite unfriendly that we order too late. We then had to explain to the lady that it was not yet 4pm. Gritting our teeth, the order was then accepted.
We were often on the square before the change of operator, but unfortunately we won't be back now.Samodejno prevedeno.- Herbert S.April 2022PozitivnoLocation, reception staffNegativnoBehavior of the bossStaff and bossNice place, very nice and helpful ladies at the reception, clean sanitary facilities, but: 32,00 € in the preseason, additional 1,00 €/day for a bad WLAN, garbage cans to unlock yourself, and then the new boss, my goodness, how he deals with his guests who bring him the money. After 8 days on the site,... I returned from an excursion at around 7.00 pm and drove to my pitch on the road leading through the permanent camper area. A sign said: "Walking speed applies", i.e. 3 kmh. I drove about 20 kmh as if I was on a play street. There was also no one on the road, as the permanent camper area was almost uninhabited. As soon as I arrived at my pitch, a man on a bike roared up, stood in front of me and shouted at me: "Hey man, tell me, are you still okay, we're on a campsite here and not on a race track, there are children running around. After my comment that there was nobody on the road, especially no children (I hadn't seen a single child on the site during my stay of over a week), he completely lost it and shouted again very loudly as he drove away: tomorrow you get out of the site, and without further ado, otherwise I'll come with the tractor. (I wonder what he meant by that?) We then left the next morning and found another nice pitch, even €10.00 cheaper and with free perfect WLAN. So people, if you are on this site, push your car, otherwise you can't go at walking speed at 3 kmh.Samodejno prevedeno.

That's how we felt during our stay. The reception by the staff was friendly and helpful. We were guided to our pitch by bike. The small lake was conquered by our grandchild in a matter of minutes. We then went to the Oberfeuer restaurant for refreshments. In short, simply delicious.... To experience a little adventure, we simply crossed the dyke to the Elbe. Marvel at the big ships that you don't usually get to see so close. The next day we went to Friederichskoog to the seal breeding station, which is just an hour's drive away and can be easily reached by car. All in all, it was a very nice stay and we will be back. - Thomas G.May 2019Pure tranquillity even at WhitsunWe stayed on this site at Whitsun 2019 as a family with a 3-year-old child and two dogs. The reception and registration was nice and uncomplicated, the site itself is clean and spacious, the sanitary facilities are not new, but were clean and in good condition. There is a relatively large playground... with good visibility and as all the paths are at walking pace, it is possible for all the children to play, run and cycle around without any problems. There are fresh bread rolls every morning and the kiosk's range of products leaves nothing to be desired. The walk, whether on foot or by bike, to the dyke is very short and the beach is very beautiful. You have to walk a few meters to go shopping, but in Drochtersen at the latest you can find everything you know from home. There is no W-LAN and card payment is also not possible!!! We are looking forward to the summer vacation, because the next vacation at the lighthouse is booked.Samodejno prevedeno.

About the prices. You can calculate the prices either linearly or degressively....
The degressive calculation has significantly higher prices for all public holidays and vacation periods, but
certain discounts in the low season.
Good for holidaymakers who are not tied to the vacation periods; bad for all holidaymakers with children who are tied to the vacation periods.
The linear option offers the same price throughout the season. The price is not increased during the vacation period and public holidays, but is not reduced in the low season either.
We have opted for the linear option as we believe it is fairer to the guest overall.

According to the network operator, a maximum capacity of less than 10 MB is possible.
This means that the site cannot even be partially supplied with wifi.
