- Milan P.July 2023PozitivnoLocation and environment of the campsiteNegativnoPRICE!!! Owner, unwillingness, supervision, thanks to the owner bad atmosphere.Never again Camping am SeeI'll start with the positives-beautifully located campsite, nice romantic setting, possibility of swimming in the lake, plenty of shade.
But!....thanks to the fact that the owner is an old, grumpy old man, everything else is wrong - starting with the reception where there is no price list, checking in... takes an awful lot of time, you have to put your tent/caravan in the place exactly designated by him, you can't have your car/motorbike by the tent - you have to park by the gate. We were moved 3 times during our stay with the customer who had our spot-where he had placed us-reserved. He even moved my son's tent once by himself without us being present. The gate of the camp is closed from 21:00 to 09:00 i.e. if you want to leave the camp earlier in the morning for a hike, cable car, ferraty -you are out of luck-grandfather will not open the gate earlier even after a request the day before-with the fact that he eats breakfast until 9 in the morning, again no sign that it is so. It used to be that cars were parked outside the gate from 7 !
Otherwise for the whole campsite 4 men's toilets- 1 of them closed, no urinal, 4 showers per token for 2E, totally inadequate if the campsite is already partially full. A bonus to finish - the campsite is 100% more expensive than usual in Austria.
It's a shame that a campsite in such a beautiful setting, ideally located, is being degraded by a senile owner, hopefully when his children take over it will be better, we will definitely not be going back sooner!Samodejno prevedeno. - Dénes B.September 2022PozitivnoEnvironmentNegativnoStaff attitude. The prices. The rules7632 Pécs Fazekas Mihály utca 26They replied to our first email in English, and then to our second email in English, in German, even though they are supposed to speak 5 languages, so one of our German-speaking friends called them and arranged everything. Our requests (most important: a camper with a tent on the lake), which we had... asked for and paid for in advance, were not met. The showers are token based, even the cold water (one person per day can only buy one token) impossible time limit rules (e.g. the campsite closes at 9pm and no one is allowed in or out until the morning) etc. The Receptionist is the owner of the campsite and she needed as much kindness as a rag rug. On arrival she told us to go to reception. By the time we parked the bus he had disappeared and we had great difficulty finding him. At the reception, we were about to feel that we should be happy that he was dealing with us, and he explained his prison-like rules which he followed to the letter. Finally, he took us into the "swamp", where we wanted to put a sheet of mud in front of the bus so that we wouldn't be covered in mud, and then he started shouting at us.
As we found the above unacceptable, we finally decided not to stay at the campsite. Despite the fact that they had not fulfilled the agreed conditions, they refused to refund our money and we did not even receive an invoice.
In short, a rip-off specialising in ripping off tourists, with an unacceptable attitude and rules.
Everyone should stay far away!Samodejno prevedeno. - Jan K.August 2022PozitivnoAllNegativno-The most beautiful campsite under the AlpsA magical and aesthetic place! Nice and helpful staff. We had a beautiful place overlooking the lake.Samodejno prevedeno.

- M. S.June 2022Pozitivno- the location directly on the lake - the park-like squareNegativnoSee commentsAbsolutely sick operators, but beautiful place- crazy operators who stalk you and reprimand almost every camper
- No photos allowed
- Absolutely overpriced and disproportionate
- showers not even included in the price
- Comprehensive rules and regulations are handed out and adherence to them is strictly enforced
- No rolling out the carpet on the... gravel
- Gauntlet run at every minute and under constant observation
- Operators are definitely not philanthropists and you wonder why they let people into their "park" at allSamodejno prevedeno. - Reka S.August 2021PozitivnoIt is in a beautiful location!NegativnoRude owner, military strictness, over-regulated, impossible to relax, they won't leave you alone, they are always watching to make sure you behaveNever again!Worst camping experience of our lives! We came from far away with small children, they knew we were coming, we paid a deposit. Unfortunately, we didn't know that after 9pm you can't drive in or out of the campsite. We parked in front of the gate, packed up the important things in the blind darkness,... set up the tent somewhere, carried the sleeping children in and went to bed. We had a trip planned for the next day, so we left early in the morning, figuring we'd report back in the afternoon. When we got back, the pegs of our tent were sticking out of the ground, so it was lucky it hadn't collapsed... It turned out that we couldn't put it there (how could we have known in the dark?) They wanted to make us pay extra money, because the tent was supposed to be in a VIP area... We didn't let them, but we moved to the right place.
After that I don't remember how we got to the point where we said we'd had enough, we weren't staying. They were yelling and screaming at us about everything. Our tent is too big, it sticks out a few inches more behind the hedge, we put the rubbish in the wrong place, the car is in the wrong place, the kids are too loud etc etc. We paid for 3 nights but only stayed for 2. They wouldn't give us our money back, we finally got that one out, but they called the police to make sure we paid that one too!!! Crazy!!!! They don't treat their guests like human beings! Everything is over regulated so you can't relax here! They keep watching to see if you follow their stupid rules! And it's expensive!Samodejno prevedeno. - Karel F.August 2021PozitivnoThe place is undoubtedly beautiful, well-kept and clean.NegativnoImpersonal to negative behaviour of the staff.Rating am SeeHello, we can still draw on previous evaluations from years ago today, in 2021.
In the beginning, my daughter made the remark "Are we going to sleep in the cemetery?"
Grandpa Omniscient, as the kids and I called him, keeps a watchful eye on any footsteps. Checking into the camp is like passing the military... academy entrance exam. I'm not really curious about a staff member repeating a total of five times that we are to sleep in this exact spot and that he will come check it out. An omniscient person checking on how we play Man Don't Be Angry and getting angry that we play it in a covered wooden cube on the camp side doesn't make me happy. Chips for cold water and to top it off paying my brother 55Euros for one tent, two kids a car and me, so get ready for that. However, the attitude of the owners is really discouraging and I would recommend to look instead for a campsite in Hallstatt, where the hartusing savage is friendly and will advise, help and advise as a result. Happy travels. KarelSamodejno prevedeno. - Jurry V.July 2021PozitivnoThe surroundings, beautiful natureNegativno*The unfriendly owner *The price-quality ratio (53 euros per night, 2 persons) *The tiny places, with no view, but asking money for it (lake view, not so) *power connections very unprofessional (dangerous)Very customer unfriendly campsiteVery unfriendly host at this campground. Never experienced like this before. And we have been camping for over 35 years.
The price/quality ratio is very skewed.
Between noon from 12 to 16 hours not welcome and you are not helped either.
Payments only cash, no pin.
Poor facilities for power connection.... The pole where we got our electricity from was of the 6 power points 2 usable, the rest broken or without fuse.
Small sites, with NO view of the lake, while we paid for that!!! No disscussion possible, this is how it is.
Nothing is allowed at this campground, everything must.
My advice, drive on to a nice campsite, there are many more fortunately!Samodejno prevedeno. - Mira B.September 2017Not recommendedDespite its exceptional location, this site has no charm whatsoever and is also outrageously expensive. You should think carefully about whether you want to stay on this campsite with your motorhome. For 3 people and a 7m long motorhome we paid €61 per night in the low season (!), plus extra money for... shower, electricity and water, the latter of which was not even directly at the site. We were also charged a €50 cancellation fee as we had arrived 2 days later than originally booked, even though we announced our late arrival by email well in advance and the campsite was completely empty. During our entire stay at this campsite, we were treated extremely unfriendly by the landlord and staff. The organization of our stay was more than unprofessional. We recommend everyone to be careful and to read carefully what is offered on this campsite and especially at what price.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Katharina J.August 2017NEVER AGAINWe were really looking forward to our stay at the lake: 6 months earlier we had already chosen and booked one of the old gypsy caravans. As it was a birthday present, we wanted it to be something special (one night in the caravan costs a hefty EUR 165!!! WITHOUT breakfast): 1 night in a "luxury" caravan... right on the lake - with its own lake access. Unfortunately, from the first minute to the last, we only had to be annoyed by the operators. We wanted to check in at 3 p.m. but couldn't, even though the caravan had already been cleaned; we had already recognized the caravan during a tour and had already unloaded our towels etc. on the table in front of it. However, we were told that check-in was only possible at 4.00 pm. Our request to give us the key 1 hour earlier was refused without explanation. We should just come back later. So we came back at 7pm and wanted to collect the key. After waiting 20 minutes with several other camping residents, a young employee was supposed to lead us to our car. And then the bombshell dropped: our car had been rented out to someone else while we were away!!!!! Our towels, which we had previously put down, were a few meters away. So there we were, standing in the rain with our wet towels - the young employee went back to the senior boss, who didn't even react at first. What followed can hardly be put into words: the senior boss made a completely pointless and confused phone call to the employee who was on duty that afternoon. We were left standing in the rain for another 15 minutes - the situation escalated when we intervened and voiced our displeasure: the senior boss simply ran off and left us and the other waiting camping guests standing there. When we ran after him, he ran off again and after 5 minutes sent his employee to tell us that we would get another wagon. We were extremely annoyed as we had already chosen a specific wagon 6 months beforehand, which we even had to pay for in advance!!! and our new one didn't have its own access to the lake. What's more, we were literally left out in the rain for almost an hour. Although we spoke plainly to the senior manager that we were really annoyed about this mistake, there was neither an apology from the senior manager nor an offer of compensation. When we checked out the next day, we met the employee from the previous day with whom the senior manager had spoken on the phone: again, no apology was forthcoming. When I expressed my displeasure again, I received the following reply: I had no idea how much work a campsite like this is. You couldn't cope with all the work etc...? ??? WITHOUT WORDS Should someone who says such things to a paying customer actually run a campsite? For God's sake NO, please don't. In response to my final question as to whether he didn't read his Trip Advisor review, he said: NO, he really doesn't have TIME for that! Well, I advised him to perhaps take the time and hope he reads my review. Because the management qualities and customer service at this campsite are just sad. To all readers: If you want to have a nice, relaxing vacation - rent somewhere else!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Tanja M.August 2017NegativnoExpensive, unfriendly and zero serviceNot recommended!Overworked and extremely unfriendly boss, too small and dirty sanitary facilities, cramped pitches, catastrophic power supply, everything pitch dark at night. Bread rolls only from nine o'clock! Extremely expensive!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Jens N.August 2017PozitivnoIf you want / need to stay in the crowded tourist area it is ok.NegativnoNoisy (street), narrow pitches, overworked staff and operator should better open a studio, but not run a campsiteNever again - self-absorbed operator who should not be running a campsiteUnfortunately I have to agree with the negative reviews. The pictures look nice, but as soon as I walked in I had a very strange feeling. Impersonal, crowded, operator overwhelmed and arrogant with his oh-so-aesthetic concept. The space I was allocated was a cheek. My van just fitted into the dark spot... between the trees. I couldn't put out a table etc. Then the road, luckily I always have earplugs with me and my kids sleep everywhere. The bar and staff are all overworked or just "relaxed". What to eat? We don't have, one type of beer, Fanta or Coke? We don't have any. Sanitary far too little for the place and dirty. Actually wanted to stay 2 nights, but left immediately after the lockers were opened at 8am (also much too late in my opinion).Samodejno prevedeno.
- Heiner K.July 2017PozitivnoOld park, interesting surroundingsNegativnoTechnology-averse, overburdened and unfriendly operators.Never seen anything worsePower supply with cable reels, toilet disposal defective, water for the motorhome tank costs, showers cost. Showers dirty. Showers without hot water. No disposal for waste water tank, only cash payment! Unfriendly operators, extremely poorly organized, quickly overwhelmed. Pre-order only with advance... payment. Place full of kitsch, Rome and 20s clutter. Lack of space because their old and kitschy train carriages have to stand alone and in the best locations. Tourists are exposed to street noise. All together the biggest imposition we have ever encountered in Europe, which has been criss-crossed for years.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Walter K.August 2016PozitivnoAmbience and flair exceptional, well located, friendly staffNegativnoPrice/performance ratio, sanitary facilities overwhelmed, sometimes also the staffFlair with optimization potentialIf you can afford to stay longer, this is THE campsite for the Salzkammergut! It is well situated in terms of transport links, yet quiet and there are plenty of options for guests. You can also lie on the beach in front of your own pitch right by the lake and chill out. The sanitary facilities have been beautifully designed, but are only of limited practical use.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Jörg E.August 2015Negativnonone.We have never seen a more beautiful campsite.Camping in a fabulously beautiful, stylish garden in beautiful surroundings with a magnificent mountain backdrop on crystal-clear Lake Hallstatt. And just a few steps away is a well-kept nudist beach. On the site itself: fine dining with exquisite wines in a stylish ambience. Everything was even better than expected!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Mike F.August 2015PozitivnoThe stay at the "Danjgo". Enjoy an excellent breakfast on the terrace. Make sure you order the evening before, otherwise you won't get anything.Negativnothe crunching gravel at the entrance to the sanitary facilities, which makes it impossible to walk quietly at night.Camping with ambienceWe felt very comfortable there for three days. We could hear the family's artistic hearts beating. The love for detail was visible everywhere. Especially in the beautiful carriages from different eras of the traveling peoples.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Slavka S.August 2015Pozitivnogood location, nice surroundings, wifiNegativnohigh price (41,5 euro/1 night - 2 people, car, tent, electricity - we shared with others because there were no more sockets available)anti-criminal orientationAfter our extensive experience of camping in Corsica, we wanted to spend 1-2 nights at this campsite. We were surprised by the little pro-criminal attitude: tarpaulin under the tents not acceptable, towels to hang on the tents... I was most annoyed when a young couple had travelled 500 km and they were... not given space to pitch their tent at about 22:00, even though there would have been space... A coffee in the bar costs 2,9 euro - even without a bill. Wifi is available at the bar without charge We will definitely not go to this campsite again.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Gernot E.August 2015PozitivnoApart from the noisy main road, beautifully situated, amusing facilities.NegativnoExpensive, not particularly accommodating operators, sanitary facilities too smallPoor price-performance ratioVery full in August 2015 and only a few showers/toilets. Despite very high prices, 50 cents are still charged for cell phone charging (if you get a socket). Always long waiting times at reception, pitch was very damp. Too few parking spaces for cars.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Johannes K.July 2015PozitivnoTop location! An experience + campsite for people with sense, art appreciation and enjoyment! Ideal to escape from stress and relaxExceptional ... the campsite ambience + beautiful circus wagons for hireHave you ever been to a campsite with an art collection? An "experienced museum" ? Anyone looking for the extraordinary should spend a few days here! Relax and unwind in the foreground! Enjoy breakfast in the small bistro cafe, which is created with love! We spent a long weekend there and will definitely... be back !!!! You have to "experience" the owners (real artists and studied art historians) .... One likes it, the other doesn't. Friendly, courteous, also lovable! They radiate a coziness and tranquility and design their park campsite according to their own ideas! Have a look at the website and gallery. The bistro terrace invites you to cozy hours The place is located directly on the shore of the UNESCO World Heritage Hallstatt / Salzkammergut / Dachstein Mountains with a beautiful lake. Pitches directly on the lake have direct access to the water! Ideal campsite for excursions to the Dachstein mountains, mountain railroad and great trips to the Salzkammergut region and the Hallstatt salt mine!!! We thank Carola, Lea and Lorenzo - a "devilishly nice owner family". Greetings from the heart! Ps! Some ratings and criticism are not correct? But everyone feels "favor" just differently!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Владимир С.June 2015PozitivnoNoNegativnoHigh price No stores nearby and overpriced on the premises.Expensive campingI was in this campground in June 2015 during my motorcycle trip. The territory is very small, well-maintained, on a beautiful lake shore. There are old motorhomes on the territory. I stopped there to climb to the panoramic platform "five fingers".The owner said that it is nearby, however, had to walk far... and long. There are no stores nearby. In the evening I wanted to buy alcohol at the campsite, but the price is exorbitant.Meters away 300 meters in the restaurant beer was cheaper.Shop in Obertraun closes at 18.00. It was the most expensive camping for the whole trip - 25 euros per night in a tent. The owners are always looking after you, not a pleasant experience. I do not recommend, if only as a last resort.Samodejno prevedeno.
