The campsite has been and is currently being modernized, which currently has the disadvantage that there are construction sites and there is currently no market. The expansion... of mobile homes is being driven forward.
It was very loud in the area of the apartments, which could sometimes be heard far into the campsite, apart from that, very quiet despite the size of the site (low season!)
The sanitary facilities are already very modern, beautiful, well planned and always clean. The cleaning team is extremely attentive.
The same applies to the reception team: very friendly and service-oriented.
(In the low season) you have the option of choosing your own pitch from a list provided by reception (ask if necessary: I initially had an allocated pitch, which was the worst possible option for me as a tent camper = completely stony).
The plots are bordered with relatively young plants, some of them are being newly planted and are therefore not usable. The subsoil of the plots varies from stony to grassed over. Overall, the site is very nicely designed.
The campsite currently (!) also has pools, a restaurant (breakfast, dinner), a bistro (in the afternoon), various sports facilities and a small modern playground. However, I did not use these. There is also a fruit and vegetable stall with very friendly staff, where you can also buy a "divine" truffle cheese.
There is a bus station directly in front of the reception and a direct connection to Rovinj. There is also a regular boat taxi service to Rovinj.
The town can also be easily reached on foot or by bike and is definitely a must-see. The hinterland offers several walking and cycling paths.Samodejno prevedeno.- Helmut G.August 2022PozitivnononeNegativnoPitches not as big as indicated unfriendly staff overbookedA total failureWanted to spend our vacation at the Amarin campsite this year. Had booked a standard pitch as our caravan is 8m long and the standard pitches are suitable for caravans larger than 7m according to the booking portal.
The pitch allocated to us was already half occupied by the caravan on the neighboring... pitch and an additional tent. In addition, the neighboring pitch was already partially occupied by another camper.
The boundaries of the pitches are not clearly visible and the operators do not care if they are not respected.
We complained about this at check-in and the ladies at reception were really annoyed and tried to find us a replacement. We pointed out again that our caravan was 8 meters long. The replacement pitch turned out to be too small.
We said this at reception, whereupon we received the rather unfriendly reply that we had only booked a standard pitch.
Visibly annoyed, we left again after 2 hours.
The friendliness of the staff left a lot to be desired.

At first glance, you are overwhelmed by the size of the area, but you quickly find your way around. The staff also explained everything precisely at check-in. Our pitch was located between... olive trees and was very idyllic. There were 2 sanitary facilities in the immediate vicinity, which were always clean and well maintained. You can be in beautiful Rovinj in 10 minutes by car. There is also a boat cab from the site, but we didn't use it. Sun loungers only free of charge in a certain area. However, as a group of 4 we didn't have to search for long.It was great!It took a little longer at check-in and check-out because there was only one person at reception. Apart from that, everything was explained to us very well and we also received great help (electricity didn't work but was fixed immediately).
- Large pitch with plenty of shade
- very good breakfast buffet... and also the dishes in the pizzeria restaurant Kandela (for the equivalent of 10€ - 15€ you can also eat very well anywhere in Rovinj +5€ drink)
- very nice clean beach
- very close to the beach (about 100m from the superior pitch)
- clean clear water great for snorkeling (but unfortunately we didn't find much)
- Cab boat (with 30kn in one direction a bit expensive but worth it)
- Dolphin tour with sunset and drinks for 120kn was also very nice
Clear recommendation, will definitely visit there more often at this price!!!

You can't relax there, but they probably bring in the money so that the campsite can survive. No consideration is given to campers. They should rethink their concept, the sanitary facilities are run down. Once and never again, I don't know if I'll manage to spend the rest of my vacation here.Samodejno prevedeno.
Bogdan V.August 2019Negativnowifi coverageGood campingFine campsite, but we weren't very satisfied. Pitches are very comfortable, but it is very difficult to find a pitch near the sea. Lot of free pitches are in upper part of campsite which is about 300m from sea. Expensive market and restaurant, in market, there are lot of prices which are about 50% higher... than Lidl, Spar, ... The main issue is wifi coverage, good signal is only on reception and near restaurant. Pebble beach at the pier clean but poor water quality due to boat traffic. Rocky beaches at the hotel and further back in the pine forest quieter and better water. However, only partially suitable for... small children. Swimming pools in top condition (sea water - no fresh water). Sanitary facilities: Probably not renovated since the 90s. The cleaning ladies always strive for cleanliness but cannot be everywhere at the same time due to the misbehavior of some campers (used tampons in the shower/ skid marks in the toilet). Hot water not always available. Children's entertainment and leisure activities: Are available in abundance, friendly and varied children's entertainment for all ages, play hall, excursion boats, cab boat to Rovinj (30kn/ pers.), playground at the neighboring hotel, water bouncy castle. Shopping facilities and gastronomy: mini market for the essentials with bakery available (expensive), restaurant and "canteen" available (buffet and a la carte) with live music every evening. All in all, great campsite, but should use the winter break for extensive renovation (wash houses, access roads littered with potholes and roots, water supply for the caravan only possible at the wash houses.Samodejno prevedeno.

The communication with the campers... regarding offers on the site is very poor. But praise to the people on the beach who organize the excursions. Everything always worked well. There were 5 years between our last visit and this one. As we were very satisfied the first two times, we booked again this time. We = 2 adults, 2 children (13 and 4). We were horrified to discover that... the sanitary facilities were in need of renovation! Toilet seats broken or broken. The hoses and shower heads in the showers were torn off and some of the controls for hot and cold water were no longer there. The door handles are broken and sharp-edged, the shower trays are defective with a risk of injury and the remaining shelves are rusty, broken and not properly attached. I should point out that we are simple vacationers and don't need the big luxuries, but this year we were shocked by the condition. We deliberately visited several wash/shower/toilet blocks to get a broad overview and yes - 90% of the facilities were in a desolate state. It seems as if a lot has been invested in the renovation of the flagship area on the beach with additional pools and renovations. The rest of the complex mostly appears somewhat neglected and in need of repair. The reservation mishaps on the part of the reception (which we also noticed from other vacationers) and the partial unfriendliness will probably cause us to look for another campsite for our next vacation.Samodejno prevedeno.

The place booked for us did not meet our expectations (shade, high trees) this was rebooked without any problems after our own selection. Animation was very poor (we don't need it). Beach and bathing... is generously available, pebble-stone beach but with green area. Cab boat to Rovinj until late at night for affordable money, so you are not bound to the high prices of the place (food / drinks card).missing bike paths on the coast but make it difficult to explore the area. Although the sanitary facilities are not the newest, they were always clean and were cleaned regularly. If they were dirty, they were left that way by the guests. The bathing facilities were varied. The pitch on the beach was shaded by large trees and had a wonderful panorama. The already criticized sanitary facilities are old, but were cleaned several times a day. Only the water for flushing could be warmer. Otherwise, the... campsite impresses with its new pool area and gastronomy, as well as the extensive sports and entertainment programs. The staff are always friendly and very professional. The problem with the access road has been solved, new tarred surface. The noise level on the campsite was up to standard. Only one night it got a bit louder due to the company and sports party of a large insurance group. But you can live with that. If you are looking for a completely quiet place in the Mediterranean region, you should perhaps switch to a smaller site. We visited again for 10 days in June 2018 - we were very satisfied. The sanitary facilities are being renovated - hot water is no longer a problem. The cleanliness is very good as the staff are on site several times. Unclean toilets or showers are the fault of the person responsible. The new hotel on the site of the former neighboring site fits in very well with the overall concept and is also visually appealing.Samodejno prevedeno.

The drinking water supply also needs to be expanded, as does the site lighting.Unfortunately getting on in years!My wife and I, both over 65, were on this course for the first time this year. The site itself is beautiful and a feast for the eyes thanks to the varied tree population. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are actually very old. The cleaning staff were very helpful and managed to keep the facilities... clean despite a lot of rain. The cab boat to Rovinj deserves a special mention. Music from the animation can be heard from afar, site quiet only at midnight. Various sections of beach available, including quieter bays. Sanitary facilities underneath rather poor, but ok... further up. Food in the market really overpriced, selection rather limited. Better to shop in advance.
