"The best campsite in the area - I stopped at Bertahof Camping on my Adria-Alpe tour, check-in was totally uncomplicated. The whole campsite is very clean, especially the sanitary facilities. I have rarely been to a better campsite.

"A campsite with top sanitary facilities in beautiful surroundings - Very large pitches with grass and electricity and water connections / very friendly staff / the best sanitary facilities we have ever used on a campsite. The shower cubicles with sliding glass doors are particularly good. The vestibule stays dry (unlike all other campsites). Toilet lid with soft-close mechanism. Unfortunately, the campsite is located directly on the main road in the Gastein Valley. Although it is quiet at night, you can hear the traffic from early morning until early evening. Too bad, otherwise it would be one of our favorite places. The train, on the other hand, didn't bother us at all. The train line is far enough away. The restaurant was only open Thu - Sun when we were there. The Gastreinertal is very beautiful and great for hiking.

Camping Bertahof is an ideal base from which to explore the glorious countryside of the Gastein Valley. The swimming lake lies right across from the campground, while the bus stop is also located right here. The Gastein Valley offers its …guests all kinds of outdoor activities, foremost of which are the fantastic hiking opportunities in summer and the valley’s renowned winter sports amenities. And with so many spas in the region, there is nowhere better to combine an active outdoor vacation with the ultimate spa experience. Ski storage; gas hook-ups on the campsites; individual wash stalls; outstanding cuisine available at our restaurant located only 200 metres away! Ski-shuttle service; bus stop right by the campground: service to Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and to the major ski and spa centers; cross-country trail runs by the campground; swimming lake directly across from our grounds (200 m);
