A great campsite where service and personal attention prevail! In the year 2004 we got acquainted with this uniquely situated, well-equipped campsite and to this day we stay there throughout the summer season, the last few years on a permanent spacious pitch, enjoying the Westerwoldse nature in all its... splendor. Here we can enjoy relaxing hiking, cycling and even Fungolfing in this wooded nature reserve. Consulting the euro-friendly menu of the farm-style romantic-looking family restaurant/terrace De Gasterij is a must, the friendly service and the excellent meals complete it. The toilet facilities are a separate story...., in a positive sense that is...really super! The years are counting so we too are happy to make use of the Senior Service offered, top! One small minus, there is no swimming pool at the campground, but just a stone's throw away there is a heated municipal swimming pool to which Bronze Oak campers have free access. The village of Sellingen, also called the Pearl of Westerwolde, is located 1km from the campsite as well as the tourist office and tea tasting Noordmee. Some of the museums and historical events we enjoyed visiting: The Vesting Bourtange, The Veenmuseum at Bargercompascuum, Museum Klooster Ter Apel, The Noorder Dierenpark in Emmen, the Meyer Werft at Papenburg Dld. Etc. etc. It will be clear that if we are in good health, we will be back in 2011! Family de Groot Alkmaar
