The vacation was actually supposed to take place at Easter. After the outbreak of the pandemic, it couldn't be canceled, but postponed. So we postponed to October. Now there's another travel warning with corresponding... quarantine rules. Again the reaction is negative and 90% of the costs are retained without providing any service. The pitch will probably be rented out a second time. Other providers can also be fair, but it's strange that de Krim can't and hides behind the terms and conditions.
That's how you scare away customers. The whole thing has nothing to do with an alleged 4 or 5 star campsite. When it rains, the paths are so flooded that there are holes everywhere and you can't... get to the wash house without rubber boots. The comfort pitches are now also full of holes. Despite information from the reservation, nothing has been done about it for years.
The wash house should also be urgently renovated in the meantime, some doors don't close, no electricity in between as fuses fly out etc.

The facilities at the campsite and vacation home park are excellent (new indoor pool, bowling, restaurant, pub etc). Location in the quiet part of the island, wide beaches in the immediate vicinity. - Marcus K.October 2018PozitivnoIndoor playground, swimming pool, large supermarket, many delicious restaurantsNegativnoOld wash houses, private sanitary facilities without heatingFirst time on Texel - De Krim recommendedWe were on Texel for the first time in October and opted for a pitch with a swimming pool and indoor playground because of the October weather. We didn't book, but chose a pitch on site. As we were not impressed by the sanitary blocks, we chose a pitch with private sanitary facilities (shower, washbasin... and toilet). Unfortunately, the private sanitary facilities had no heating, but luckily it was still pleasantly warm in October this year. The site itself is about 2-3 km from the sea, but you can easily cycle to the sea even with small children (cycle paths everywhere). There are plenty of restaurants and the supermarket is very large and reasonably priced. The indoor playground is very large for a campsite and sufficient for children up to about 10 / 12 years. The swimming pool has 4 great slides plus a toddler area. The large outdoor playground is also great and there is also a laser game hall and mini golf in the neighboring hall under blue light. We had a great time on Texel and we also loved Camping De Krim. There are also small playgrounds with climbing frames and slides in front of some pitches.Samodejno prevedeno.

We wanted to upgrade from camping to a 5-star luxury hotel and chose De Krim near De Cocksdorp for the start. The Trekkershut was very nicely furnished. Having breakfast together outside had a certain charm. We liked the down-to-earth... start to our life together and were glad that Camping de Krim was the right place to start. Everything from a supermarket to a restaurant is available. And the proximity to De Cocksdorp is also a bonus point.Samodejno prevedeno.

It's a bit away from the sheltered dune area and it's a 30-minute walk to the beach, but it's easy to get there by bike. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the WLAN is ok, the comfort pitches are attractive and large. Cars... are not allowed on the site, but the parking spaces are close by. A place with shortcomingsThe first thing we noticed was that there was no cycle path between the road and the square. So you juggle around 500 meters with a heavy trailer on the hook next to families with small children who have only been on a bike for a few weeks. It gets even worse on the site where there is virtually no demarcation... (and no rules) on the road. The site itself was quite nicely laid out. The individual camping zones are separated by tall trees and bushes. De Krim is a very large vacation park. There is a small supermarket, a market place with bistros and an indoor play hall, a large outdoor play area, a gigantic swimming pool and so on. It's actually all quite nice once you've arrived without having hurt anyone. But now comes our big but: the dear dogs. No, we are not dog haters! It was peak season, of course. But we didn't expect such a large crowd. Nor did we expect such indiscipline on the part of the owners. You constantly see dogs running free and doing their business where they are standing and walking. To be fair, there are poop bags everywhere on the site and they are used. We have seen dogs defecating in the sandpits in the playgrounds. We saw dog owners cleaning their dogs in the family sanitary facilities in the baby bath and so on. The highlight was that my wife was suddenly bitten by a large dog when she went for a walk. As for the peace and quiet, we may have been a little unlucky when booking. There are places with small playgrounds in front of them. It was actually quiet from 21:30 to 22:00. On our pitch, people liked to shoot hard balls until almost 23:00. Well, we left our 2-year-old son on the pitch from 7:00 in the morning to wake up the little Van der Vaarts. The beach was not 2 km away as stated but a good 4 km (the park alone is 2 km long). We will probably not come back. Too many compromises at too high a price. The fact that you have to pay well in advance also annoyed us a little.Samodejno prevedeno.

The place itself is ok. You don't get much of an island feeling from the sea, the site is too far away from the sea for that, but we knew that. We didn't realize that De Krim is apparently a mecca for dog lovers. It felt like there were almost as many dogs... as people. Unfortunately, they also leave their droppings on the paths etc.. In the evening, the dogs bark until midnight. The dog poo is not nice for children running around, especially if the children still have respect for dogs. But the swimming pool is really great. The bowling alley is great, the restaurant offer is not really convincing. We would come again because Texel is really great. We were very surprised by the large, yet manageable resort. Everything was very well maintained and clean. What stood out in particular were the super friendly staff, who always had a smile on their faces for everyone. Remarkable. The swimming... pool was a real hit with our two children. 4 slides and a large pool with bubbles and whirlpool. Everything was clean and in top condition and the climbing hall can only be reached through the restaurant, which means that parents can sit in it and relax, as the kids can't run off. The pitches were large enough and easy to reach with a trailer. The supermarket had everything you need, the restaurants had the typical dishes and good quality. Prices were typical. All in all, a great vacation on a very beautiful island. We will definitely be back. Hopefully in better weather.Samodejno prevedeno.

The washrooms could be better heated. The absolute highlight:... there is a professional dishwasher that cleans everything in 3 minutes. And it's free of charge!
