You can walk to a great beach in a few minutes, ideal for dogs too. The ladies at reception were always very friendly and helpful. You can buy fresh bread rolls in the supermarket in the morning, but the village of Vroudenpolder is also within easy reach where you can go out for a delicious meal and do some shopping. Daniel R.August 2019PozitivnoDirectly on the dunes to the beach with no road in between.NegativnoChild safety, dealing with guests, sanitary facilities!Never again Roompot!1. receptionists unfriendly with requests. 2nd restaurant: complained about one of four beers... Answer: "That's not possible!" Then one of eight pizzas so burnt that it tasted like coal.... Answer. "That's the way it has to be!" 3. bouncy castles on asphalt with drempels without fall protection. I counted... 6 injured children in the first 30 minutes!!! 2 of them were mine. My 9 year old daughter came into the restaurant bleeding. None of the staff (the receptionist was "Daniela") even asked if our daughter needed help! The injury to her foot is still there, so she can't go into the water. My 5 year old son has a bruised rib from falling on a jamb. See photo. When I got the car to pick up my daughter, several crying injured children, some by strangers, were carried to their parents on the pitch! 4. on departure, a waste disposal vehicle blocked the exit. Sitting in the car, I was shouted at to drive past. I refused with a hand signal because it was too narrow. When I got out to take photos, the driver of the truck came up to me and shouted at me with the words "You don't have a driver's license, you asshole!". He then immediately banged his stomach against mine. Only when I pushed him back and threatened him with the police did he let go, but continued shouting in Dutch. There is a video of this. The head of the police station "Daniela" was called in. She showed no interest in the situation and did not intervene! Even my question as to whether it is in the interests of Roompot to treat guests in this way was only answered with a shrug of the shoulders and a terse reference to the fact that this is an external company. Instead of responding to the insult and the physical attack, the tenor was that I hadn't left by 11 a.m. and therefore it was my own fault. It is true that it was already 12 o'clock. But it was natural for me to wait at the exit until the waste disposal truck had cleared the exit. That's not the point. It's about the attempted coercion to take the risk of driving past, the insult and especially the assault (I felt very uncomfortable and threatened and that's enough for the offense of assault)! The site only deserves the one star because of its great location directly on the dunes with no road in between and the free use of the indoor pool at the beach resort. But that's about it. I have been visiting Zeeland for over 30 years. I have also visited the Roompot Beach Resort many times. I have never experienced conditions like those at De Zandput. The treatment of guests in particular is appalling. The condition and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is just an addition. On complaint. Noted. The larger pitches are really spacious and definitely recommended. The beach is right behind the campsite and you can reach everything else by bike. Managed by Roompot. This means you can easily book online and the access card is sent... to you in advance, which means you can go straight to the reserved pitch without having to check in. I think that's brilliant. And yes, the sanitary building is old, but everything is in order and clean. Lots of dogs and it's true, there are apparently no rules and no separate run. They go everywhere. The smaller sanitary building was always spotlessly clean. All in all, a quiet site that offers plenty for the kids. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's at least a 15-minute walk to the beach. But then you end up on a real dream beach.... There are many enchanting places in the surrounding area, e.g. Zierikzee, Middelburg, Westkapelle..... Everything is just right here, the operators and staff are very friendly and helpful. Top sanitary facilities! Environment for cycling very good. Good for parents with children in the appropriate season, as there is animation and lots of other children on the site. The campsite is located directly behind the dunes and the (super) beach is a short walk away. The grass pitches are slightly sloping and separated by half-height hedges. Nicely laid out overall. Although the site was quite full, it was still relatively... quiet. There is a new small sanitary building at the back of the tourist area which is reasonably clean. However, the large sanitary building is getting on in years and not very inviting. Overall, the site is always an option for us.Samodejno prevedeno.

The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, the reception staff are sometimes overwhelmed, but the small supermarket stocks the essentials and everything else can be bought by bike (5 min.) in... nearby Vrouwenpoldern. The beach can be reached by bike in 3 minutes. The sanitary facilities are ok and in my opinion always relatively clean. I don't know what it looks like in the high season. In any case, this site is great for dog owners! Enough contacts and you can go everywhere. The super beach is only permitted for dogs on the left of the campsite, on the right only from October or before 9 am or after 7 pm. What more could you want?Samodejno prevedeno.

We were initially impressed by the small size of the site and the proximity to the beach! First the good: Pitches are well sized, camping store is well equipped, the site itself is clean, relatively close to the North Sea beach (10-15 minutes on... foot, 5 minutes by bike), beautiful beach. Now to the negative: The sanitary facilities are extremely old, not always clean in high season. The path to the beach is littered with mines (dogs and horses), the employees are mainly students or pupils who do a vacation job and convey a feeling of disinterest. The restaurant is not recommended, only frozen food and overpriced. Although the campsite belongs to the Roompot Group, we have the feeling that it is getting worse every year. In addition, the place gets more expensive every year but nothing changes!!! The... supermarket and the possibility of getting supplies on the campsite are limited by the range of products and the high prices. - Andreas T.August 2014PozitivnoThe location in the dunesNegativno-Cleaning of the sanitary facilities (mold) -Use of the Vakantiecard at the pavilion not possible -Animation does not deserve its nameOnce a classy place....I have been coming to Camping de Zandput for 15 years now. Not again after this vacation. The condition of the sanitary facilities leaves more than a little to be desired. Mold on the ceilings and walls (health hazard). Only after a clear conversation with a receptionist was the gross mold in one of... the three sanitary buildings removed. Cobwebs and spiders in the toilets have apparently not been removed since the start of the season (we were there in August/September). The beach pavilion has also seen its best days. You could still find leftover food and drinks from the previous days on some of the tables. However, the campers sometimes grab the cleaning cloth themselves and clean up. The Vakatiecard issued could only be used to pay in the "restaurant" (open until 8pm) but not at the beach pavilion, as there is no internet access. The children's entertainment picked up the children by car in the morning. I.e. the receptionist drove across the park by car. Koos the rabbit sat in the open boot and the children walked or rode their bikes behind or alongside. The fact that there were no accidents was nothing short of a miracle. Furthermore, the entertainers didn't make a particularly enthusiastic and enthusiastic impression. Next year we'll be going to another place in the area. Nevertheless, we will see how this place develops. The location right next to the dunes is great.Samodejno prevedeno.

- Nicole S.August 2013The location and the proximity to the beach is very nice and we have been to this place several times. Unfortunately we were very disappointed this year. Even at the reception you had the feeling that the people were very overwhelmed with their tasks, just as in the restaurant and in the beach pavilion... (the service was very slow, often miscalculated etc...) The animation team was very listless and attracted at most children up to 6 years. There were no attractive activities for our children aged 10 and 13. We also had to realize that unfortunately nothing was renovated in the facilities (sanitary facilities, restaurant). It's a shame, we always enjoyed staying here and hope that it will be looked after soon. Because at the moment the price/performance ratio is simply not right.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Frank T.July 2013Over the last 3 years, the place has been getting worse and worse. Janitor and service staff dismissed and replaced by totally overstretched external service providers. Garbage piled up stinking in the main area. No more supervision so that reckless campers could do what they wanted. Clueless students... in the restaurant, no reception. Conclusion, was once a top place, since the Roompot group took over the place it has gone downhill. After 10 years, I will be looking for another site next year.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Fritzi H.October 2012We were there in the first week of the fall holidays and the place is in a good location and is also well maintained, although there were many dogs there, I did not find a single dog turd (we have a dog ourselves) you can go for a walk and take the dog to the beach. As it was a vacation we assumed that... there would be some entertainment for our boys 13 and 15 but this was not the case. The reception was only manned briefly in the morning. Once there was a power cut and you couldn't reach anyone. The store had no more choice and what was there was all for sale at half price, so there weren't even any eggs. The opening hours were very reduced, but they didn't stick to them either, they just crossed them out and closed them, so you stood there and had to drive to the next town Dohburg or Kamperland to do your shopping. Stupid for motorhome drivers. Yes, and last but not least, the sanitary facilities.... don't always have to be the latest, but the facilities are getting on in years....They were cleaned superficially, but that was it. There are covered outdoor toilets and they are full of cobwebs and dirt on the partitions and the ceiling, which could be cleaned daily with a broom, but this has probably not been done for years. There were also 2 indoor toilets for the ladies and none for the men, but as it was already quite cold, you could only leave them with frostbite on your bottom. As I said, there were 2 indoor toilets for the ladies, which were used a lot because of the cold, but unfortunately they have a direct connection to the shower and so it always smelled horrible when you were in the shower. All in all, I would only visit the place again in the high season and hope that there is more on offer then and that you don't have to freeze to death in the toilet.Samodejno prevedeno.

Lots of traffic but still pleasant because our part of the site with comfort pitches is well laid out and away from the "public traffic". Through the dunes about 5 minutes to the super wide beach a dream. Restaurants spread across the beach. This was not the last time we were here.Samodejno prevedeno.

Average but clean sanitary facilities. Shopping facilities for the essentials are available, take-away food is fully acceptable.
