"Great nature camping - We felt very comfortable here. The operators were very friendly. In the low season, the campsite was hardly visited. That's why one of the sanitary buildings was already closed. You could order baguettes the day before (very tasty!). Great site with large pitches, some of which are very spacious. You hardly notice your neighbors. Also beautiful view to the east. The approach to the campsite through the village of Aigues-Vives is very narrow; wider vehicles have to be careful. Surprisingly, during the day you can hear the road (D625) that goes through the village of Aigues-Vives; there could also be noise from the go-kart track nearby - but this is probably also due to the wind. But it was quiet at night.

Profil

Camping de la Serre is located in the southern French department of Ariège, at the foot of the Pyrenees. This small family campsite is very sustainable and has spacious pitches with plenty of privacy. During your holiday, you can get …active in the sports field, while the children can play in the playground with lots of wooden play equipment. And after a day in the Mediterranean sun, you can cool off in the swimming pool. Or you can enjoy a drink, a good book or a puzzle on a lounger with a parasol. Camping de la Serre is spacious and almost completely surrounded by nature. The pitches are located on terraces. Due to the separation by trees, hedges and winding roads, you have a lot of privacy on your pitch. The pitches are well maintained and are (mostly partly) in the shade. In addition to the pitches, there is the option to rent a chalet or lodge tent with a private terrace. The sanitary facilities have a family room and a separate baby sanitary facility. Sustainability is a top priority at Camping de la Serre, which is why most of the products in the small camping shop are locally produced. To give the campsite's international guests the opportunity to get to know all these delicacies, a market with local products is organised every Thursday. There is also a large barbecue so you can taste what you have bought. You can also get fresh bread rolls at the campsite. For larger purchases, you can visit the surrounding villages such as Laroque-d'Olmes (5 km).
