- Jonas R.July 2024Pozitivno- If you book early enough, you can reserve pitches with a view of the basinNegativno- too expensive for what is offered - Sanitary facilities should be renovated - If you want to bathe more than your ankles, you should choose a different bayGood location with potential for improvementUnfortunately a little disappointing overall.
Quite a large space, making the atmosphere somewhat uncomfortable and anonymous.
The sanitary facilities need to be redone, the standard and hygiene are very borderline compared to the rather high price.
Unfortunately, there is hardly any water in this... bay. Bathing is out of the question here. (Ok, it's not the campsite's fault, but you should bear that in mind)
Only excursion possibilities (Dune de Pylat, Cap Ferret, market hall etc.) can score points here.
Considering that this was the most expensive campsite on this year's round trip, we were rather disappointed overall.Samodejno prevedeno. - Martin B.April 2017PozitivnoPartly large plots, friendly staffSpring vacationWe had chosen Bordeaux as our destination for our spring vacation this year. As we couldn't find a decent campsite close to Bordeaux, we opted for this campsite. The location was also good for the things we wanted to do. It takes about 1 hour to drive to Bordeaux city center, so you can get to know and... visit the city well. We did that sufficiently. On the other hand, it's a good 1.0 hour drive to the Atlantic coast and the beautiful beaches there. The beach right by the Arcachon basin isn't that great and the beach is dry due to the high and low tides, so swimming isn't possible. However, the site itself is relatively spacious, although the layout of the pitches seems somewhat arbitrary (chaotic?). We had no problems with this in the low season, but in the high season it can certainly lead to discussions. The same applies to the sanitary facilities, which are likely to be very tight in the high season. The site staff were very friendly and the small supermarket on the site was sufficient for the most important things. All in all, a nice campsite with no ups or downs.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Thierry R.July 2016PozitivnoLocation, sanitary facilities, pricesNegativnobeware of shade on some sitesgood value for moneyOn the edge of the basin (be careful, there are tides...), in a good location, with a seafront cycle path that takes you quickly to the town center, which is bustling all day long, and to the lovely esplanade. Good-sized pitches, quiet campsite on the whole, with evening entertainment lasting until midnight.... Very well-stocked and reasonably priced food outlets. Nearby Place de l'étoile with market and excellent restaurant. The sanitary facilities are beyond reproach, the cleanest we've seen since we've been camping!Samodejno prevedeno.
- Nathalie P.August 2014Pozitivnosize of pitch, location of campsite, region, entertainment, very good snack bar (homemade pizza dough!), secure campsite at nightNegativnono clothes racks at children's level in showersbeautifully located campsiteWe are a family with 2 children aged 6 and 12. The pitch was big enough for our large 3-bedroom igloo tent (often too big at other campsites). The entertainment is varied and intelligent. I'd like to thank the campsite for Ophélie's diving baptism and swimming lessons. The staff are pleasant and numerous. One drawback is that there are no coat racks at children's level in the showers.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Wolfgang M.May 2013Quite a large site located directly on the Bassin d'Arcachon, in a sparse pine forest. Friendly staff, clean and tidy sanitary facilities. Well suited for visiting Dune de Pyla, Arcachon and probably also Bordeaux. The water on the beach is probably already there, but we didn't see it - probably at low tide. The site seems rather unsuitable for a beach vacation.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Guntram H.June 2011The site is located well outside the small town of Andernos and it takes a good 20 minutes to get there. The pitches are level, partly sandy and shaded by tall pine trees. No Euro plugs! You should therefore have a three-pole French adapter with you. The beach directly in front of the campsite is not... very inviting. If you go in the direction of Andernos it gets better. Sanitary building clean and probably adequate for the site. At our time (mid-June), the small restaurant was only open sporadically and there was no store. Bread from a bakery about a 10-minute walk away.\_\_English was spoken well at reception. From Andernos you can easily get to Bordeaux on a well-developed road. From the suburb of Merignac, a streetcar line leads directly to the center.\_\_\_CARE: park and ride is offered, but only for cars, as it is a parking garage. However, there are large shopping centers with plenty of parking facilities about 15 minutes' walk away (that's where we parked our motorhome).Samodejno prevedeno.
