Overall really good, with some room for improvement....
Anyone rating here must of course bear in mind that 2 years ago a natural disaster raged here. In this respect, it is annoying but understandable that you have to drive 20 minutes by car to a supermarket or an open restaurant in the region.

The campsite, on the other hand, makes a well-maintained impression.... The operators are very nice and flexible, which I was able to experience due to an additional child arriving after the booking had already been made. Our pitch was very large and easily accommodated a camper van, car and additional tent. I've never seen the path lighting so well, you can easily find your way around at night. The bread roll service was great and the small store on site had all the essentials.

Unfortunately, there is also a bit of shade.
Keyword water: no other taps, only at the wash houses. We therefore didn't use the water supply at the camper van, as I didn't want to have to carry umpteen jugs of water around the spacious site for several minutes. Unfortunately, the restaurant at the site is not in operation, which would have been a real plus point given the current infrastructure. The adjacent B258 generates a nice level of noise, especially from motorcycles in good weather.

We would like to come back again if there were more water tapping points to be able to operate the car properly.

First tourists after the flood.
We were here over Carnival in February. The first tourists after the flood disaster. The place has been largely restored. There is now toilet paper. The playground is brand new. At temperatures of -4 degrees, you should keep an eye on your gas supplies.

Everything you need available except toilet paper on site. Too expensive at €32 for two people and a dog. The restaurant has the best schnitzel, which is the only reason why you should stay here :)

Quiet place directly on the Ahr. Unfortunately renovation backlog in the sanitary area.
Peace and quiet all day long. Direct view of the river. Spacious pitch with electricity, water and waste water. Staff available and friendly. Sanitary facilities old, not renovated, musty, not nice, no toilet paper. People with toilet rolls under their arms are no longer in keeping with the times. Most expensive pitch in the area. Unbelievable.

Very relaxing short vacation
Small but nice, with some compromises. The pitch was great, water / waste water on site, we also really liked the location of the campsite. The operators are very friendly and helpful, we didn't visit the restaurant on site, but it was always well frequented, so it can't be bad. In the small store you... get the essentials, the morning rolls were delicious. The sanitary facilities are all older, one is newly built and very nice. Everything was always clean. But be careful, there is no toilet paper in the sanis !!! So always take it with you :-) You can hear the noise from the passing road, the trucks probably use the route as the shortest connection for the missing expansion of the highway there. Towards evening, however, it becomes noticeably quieter.

We used the place as an overnight stay (1 night) on a bike tour. Everything you need is available. Nice staff. Tent meadow in very good condition, right on the river.

We were there for 3 days with a tent. Friendly welcome at reception. There is a nice little meadow for tents with plenty of power points. A new toilet block with washing facilities and drinking water connection right next door. The main sanitary facilities are mostly quite old, but everything is clean.... There is a second small shower room for the ladies with 2 newer shower cubicles. You can also eat well in the adjoining restaurant. Possible disadvantage for early risers: the gate only opens at 8:30 in the morning (but you can walk out at any time). Price/performance ratio is good here. At a price of 17 euros per day for 2 people, tent + car, you can't expect luxury and all-round service. If you don't need that, this is the place for you. CONCLUSION: overall a simple but solid and clean site!
